You know something is wrong when all seven people online are waiting to do returns from online ordered. So here is the problem, and the reason for my low review. When I got to the store there was one person two individuals behind the counter, but the both felt to go and pick up online orders. About 10 minutes later, the gentleman returned with the ladies package. However when he opened it, it was not the times that she had purchased. So now there is a big to do, because they are trying to figure out if she was charged for the items or if the where just shipped incorrectly. Now the second cashier comes back with the customers pickup order and he is upset because the color is wrong and looks like nothing that he ordered. She ensures him that it is the right item, but it's hard to tell the correct color when you order online. Now he wants to return. FML. Now we all know that returns take longer that purchases because they are a few steps in the process. Now it's my turn and I explain why I am return the items and she tell me that the number match and that they didn't send me the right item. I told her maybe they need to work on not false advertising. I explained to her that they are having problems with returns because of the discrepancies in the products the are showing online and what's arriving to the customer. Read Less

SALON REVIEW: there's no individual page for the salon so leaving this here. Came to the store to pick up something for husband before our vacation.  I've been running errands all day and my usual wax place had a looonnggg wait.  So I skipped  it this morning. Notice the salon when I come into JCP. Mental note to check it out when I leave the store. So I shop then head in to ask if they take walk-ins. Yes. How much for eyebrow wax? $12. Cheaper than what I normally pay anyways! Maria comes out and says, we have a coupon today, it'll only be $10. Thank you, Maria! She did such a wonderful job on my eyebrows! She asked me about my preferences, why I prefer wax, shape, etc. A true professional and wonderful person! She even gave me a coupon to come back for a pedi! Read Less

Went there 2 wks ago, since it's still bugging me, writing review. Walked in. Plenty of JCP ppl on the floor, only ONE bothered to look at me and say hello (mature woman w/blonde hair). But that was 1st Floor. Went up to the Lingerie Dept. Saw emplyee & asked for help. Told me she worked in Childrens (next dept over) but was looking for a customer (imho she was shopping for herself). I asked if she could call someone, "What do you want?" not the best response. Told her and she said I didn't know what I was talking about. (%$#@??!!). I went back to Flr 1 and saw overhead sign for Cstr Srv. Spoke to man who said someone would be there. WAITED 15-20 mins. Lost count bcuz another custmr overheard me and waited w me. I was able to help HER find what she wanted. NO JCP ever showed up. I was Furious. Went back to Cstr Srv desk & told him I'd never shop there again. As I said, still bugging 2 wks later, so here's my review. When someone seeks you out for employee help, you, JCP are already doing a real bad job at customer service. Bought what I needed elsewhere. Your loss. Read Less

I don't frequent JCPenny's often. I only stop by here in passing if Im in the area and think they may have what Im looking for. I was on my way to DSW and decided to run in to get a jacket for my niece as a birthday gift. I got an awesome deal! Saved $95 in promotion and a coupon I found online. I plan on going back to visit the Sephora to find a red lipstick. Every Time I leave JCPenny I think to myself, I really need to shop here more. Read Less

Went here to buy my boo some clothes. He is a heavy set guy and requires larger clothes unfortunately the double XL in many of the sections are made for skinny big people if that even makes sense. However, we actually found a section that was made for big and tall men that actually had some nice clothes as far as casual and business casual. They were having a 50% off sale and if you spend over $25 you get $10 off, which was cool.He does not like to shop in the mall because he is a man and you know how they can be, but he was happy with his selection and now we can switch up the wardrobe a little bit.Glad we went here so I could to him he could find something in the mall! Good sales today..  With the friends and family discount and Arizona pants being buy one, get one for the free, $32.00..  Also got the wife a pair of flats for $31.00 after the discount.  All in all, a good shopping experience... My husband and my son just got haircuts at the salon and they did a terrible job. The guy (selling associate 637) actually cut my son's sideburns completely off. Like a straight line!!  Who does that????  Afterwards someone tried to fix it but there was no fixing it. I'm so angry!!!There's a reason I don't cut my sins hair. But not even I would have done such a terrible job. Maybe the salon should test the stylists before hiring them.  No doubt I will NEVER go back there again and I will let others know too so that no one else has to go through this. She does color, weave,cuts,curls, relaxers, natural hair... And she is culturally diverse...  willing and  able to do all hair types...This woman can cut little kids hair and grandma's hair! Oww!She does it All!Tips: Just make an appointment so you can have her all to yourself however she will take walk-ins but you will have to be patient and wait. She comes highly recommended! The store has been somewhat updated but I think it still lacks the inviting quality.  They do have some good sales if you cat ch it right.  The staff are pretty much non-existant except at the registers and they aren't very helpful.  On a recent trip I tried to ask for help as I was going to make a large puchase.  Due to their lack of help, I ended up sitting on a bench outside of the portrait studio to research the product.  I ended up buying sitting there and bought the items on Amazon. Just the fact that an employee approached my sister and me and asked if we needed help gives this place 4 stars. Compared to Macy's Furniture Gallery, the gentleman working in the furniture section actually gave us a few minutes to check out things and then asked if we needed help. He wasn't pushy and let us continue to browse in peace.They had some floor samples for sale and the furniture layout is a bit spread out and room furniture is not necessarily grouped (i.e., living room is next to bedroom is next to another living room). I love this store. I got most of my maternity clothes here on sale. The customer service gals are super helpful, and I've never had better service in the lingerie department. I'd like to shake Ron Johnson's hand.  He's the new CEO of JCPenney and I do believe he single-handedly saved this company's brand image.  Since their relaunch in February 2012, this store is actually fun to shop in! The new every day low prices are unbelievably low and it's a great place to pick up a last minute anything- blouse, dress, shoes, earrings, jacket, you name it!  You never have to remember to bring your coupon or feel bad that you're going to miss a sale because the prices are always low.  And twice a month on Fridays (which coincide with most people's pay cycles- GENIUS!!) they have super buys which are slashes on their already low prices- SCORE!!!   Since the remodel, the layout of the store is much cleaner and easier to navigate.  Everything is organized and the location of things make sense.  You don't feel like you walked into a KMart or Sears where everything is everywhere.  Bonus: this location has a Sephora in it! This one of the best JC Penney around. They always have everything in stock and if you're not able to find it the sales associates are more than happy to order it for you on-line.  They always have tremendous discounts every day in addition to their already low prices.  To top it off they have a Sephora store inside the store which is convenient when it's your significant others birthday and you totally have no idea what to get her.  This place was a lifesaver.
