DO NOT GO HERE !!!! .. I stopped in and asked for a price on a manicure / pedicure, and was quoted $33 .... After they did the work, they charged me $40 - so I paid them but did not tip. And the massage was me soaking my feet in foot sauna. WHAT A RIPOFF - and they didn't care. Amazing people and amazing work! They care about what their work looks like and if you are happy! The owner is the nicest person you will ever meet. She is also the best at doing nails! I have had my nails done by everyone there (as the owner Linh is always booked since she is so good) and I must say they are all awesome!!! John, Tammy, Tina, Alex, Nina, Lena, and Linda are all amazing at what they do. I went to SJ nails on a whim today with a friend. We both got full sets and pedicures and I got my eyebrows done as well. I am in LOVE. Nina did my nails and they have never been more pointy or more uniformed (I generally walk out of salons with one crooked nail). The woman who did my eyebrows wasn't too friendly but I didn't care much being as though I was in her chair for less than 5 minutes. In total I paid $61 for the visit which I was pleased by. In addition, they have a card that the tech signs off on shyer every visit and ok the 6th visit you get $5 or a free nail polish. Not much but some incentive is better than none at all. Absolutely awful. I walked in and showed them a picture and said can you do this. The answer was absolutely no problem. But when it came time to do the design n my toes,no one could do it. Two different people tried still wasn't right but livable so I let it alone. Since my naiks were alrwady wrapped in foil I had ti stay, I asked again can someone do this flower if not I don't want a design. They said yes we can do it so I let them work on my nails and then when it came tin...e for the flowers they couldn't do the flower. I told them I was unhappy and no one cared. I said it was a disgrace I had to pay full price for something this terrible and so they said they discounted $15 oh no just 10. I paid although I considered not paying and then I and walked out without tipping I've never done that before. DO NOT GO HERE. Do not go to the salon. I  showed them a design and they assured me they could do it but when it came time to do it two different people tried and they failed. Instead of the flower I'd ask for I had some horrible looking Daisy. They then proceeded to tell me that the design I picked was too hard. I don't know why they didn't say that when I asked I would have picked something else. To make matters worse I watched the woman pick up the tools she used on me for a pedicure and put them right back in a drawer without sterilizing them. When it came time to pay they wanted to charge me full price even though they knew I was so unhappy. I told them it was a disgrace that I should pay full price so the woman said I'll take 15 off butvthe woman in charge of the place said something to her not in English so I don't know what she said but then she said Oh 10 off not 15. First time customer. Went for a fill and pedicure. The girl who did my pedi did an ok job. After my pedi, she had me go to someone else for my fill. I think the girl's name was Neena...or something like that. She was nice, but she did a HORRIBLE job! I was very specific about how I wanted my nails shaped (rounded and not squared), how short I wanted them, and that I didn't want the acrylic too thick. Her response to my requests was, "ok". Well after everything was all said and done, my nails were squared, and the acrylic was thick! The only thing she got right was the length. She attempted to reshape my nails after I brought it to her attention, and failed horribly! My nails are crooked, different lengths, and just don't look like a professional did them. I've been coming here for over 13 years and every time I try a new place out of convenience - I regret it. Prices are always great ( I swear they haven't gone up over the years ) and the work is excellent. On the occasion I have to use a salon in Philly or anywhere else, I always have to come back SJ to get them fixed. John, Lynn, Tammy, & Barb are the best! I've been going to South Jersey Nails for at least 9 years. They have always been very friendly to me. My nail tech, Barbie, in my opinion, is the best nail tech in the business. This is one of the cheaper nail salons in town and there are many good reasons why. There are a couple girls in there that do good work (according to my frinds that have been going there for years). I went with a girlfriend for a pedicure together instead of the usual place I go. It was seriously the worst pedicure I've ever had. She rushed through it and it was uncomfortable. She cut my toe. Forgot to put on my flip flops until after painting my nails. Then kept stuffing cotton balls between my toes instead of the toe separators. Seriously, she had to repaint some toes like 5 times. Her name was Tina, stay away. But my friend and her sister had an enjoyable experience. I usually go to La Moda on Egg Harbor Rd. I appreciate when I see the employees remove the instruments from the sterilizer packs. After my pedicure here, I didn't even see her clean them. As a poor college student I don't often get my nails done.  However, for my birthday one of my girlfriends took me to get a mani pedi and we hit up SJ Nails.  First off this place is popping on a Saturday afternoon, but they were still able to hook us up even though we were both just walk ins.  They looked to be in the middle of renovating when we went which is why I'm giving them three stars.  They had all of the nail stations and pedi stations on one side of the store because of renovations, which made things a little cramped.  I'm sure they are done renovating now so I'll have to check it out.Now, onto the deets.  The prices here are very reasonable, they even have STUDENT DISCOUNTS.  Can we just say my poor college self was stoked at the thought.  If I knew I could get discounts at the nail salon for being a student I never would have stopped getting my nails done!  Seriously, I graduate in December I need to make up for lost time.  On a serious note, I will definitely be returning to SJ Nails it's not overly pricey, they staff is nice and knowledgeable, plus they have a great collection of colors.
