I'm only giving a 2 star rate the owner/manager does not have any manners. As I walked towards the salon he stands outside. I said hello and he didn't respond, as I open the door he decided to go ahead of me, is he supposed to open the door for his clients/customers. As I was leaving the salon, by the way the girl did a good job on hands and feet. When I have my payment and said thank you and said nothing. I suggest that he works in his people skills. Today is my last day coming here. The owner is disgusting and there are only a couple of techs that are nice who do good nails. I was getting a pedicure today and saw the owner kill a mouse right in front of customers. He was stomping the life out of the mouse with his flip flop and then used his flip flop to push it outside. He drew attention to himself and everyone wanted to know what was going on because he was making so much noise. We all saw the dead mouse and I wanted to throw up. It happened right near me. I am sure a lot of establishments have mice but if I see one who isn't afraid to walk around in the day time in front of people, I have to think of how nasty the place really is. And if you ask one of the ladies to clean the equipment first in front of your face, they get an attitude. Not worth my time, there are better salons. Read Less

Was a faithful customer but I'm NEVER coming back here again! Star Nails will NEVER get my money again. The owner David is nasty to not only his staff but also his clientele. I asked if they had any sterile electronic nail files I was told no the files the manucurist was about to use were clean when clearly they had been used on someone before myself, i don't know about you but I refuse to get a possible infection or disease from the previous client. I was told by David "THAT'S HOW WE DO IT" so I left and I won't be going back! If you can't properly clean your tools you shouldn't have customers or a place of business. If I go to get a tattoo and a needle is opened in front of me then I expect the same from my salon, whether its getting a mani/pedi, wax, or haircut these people need to be held accountable and be made to follow proper regulations. I started going to this salon a little over a year ago because they were one of the very few salons that still did airbrushing. They stopped doing airbrushing but because of how friendly my manicurist was (Jenny -- she's the sweetest), I continued going. The owner (David) is a total [insert curse word here]. The service is miserable and the second I walk through the door he says "Pedi-cyoo?!" and even if I wanted one I say no because of how uncomfortable he makes me. All of the employees are always on their phones/PCs, doing their own nails, etc., & they carry on coversations (be it phone or face to face) whilst doing your nails, all of which I find VERY unprofessional. The pedicure girls are all Spanish-speaking, and speaking nearly no English which can make communication difficult. I both speak and understand Spanish, however I believe that if you're in this country, you speak this language. I'm 16 and have to go where my mom goes, and she LOVES Jenny so she won't go anywhere else, although she is finally starting to see things from my point of view. Star Nails is the best nail place!!! Everyone there is friendly and they listen to whatever you want.The prices are reasonable and the service is great!!!! Don't waste your time! Very expensive for the service received. One person did my nails and there were too thick. The owner said come back we fix! They fixed for the cost of $30.00 for fills! Then my nails were too thin, which caused them to break. I then when back a third time. To a girl who was visibly bothered because I stopped her from texting. Also, I find it rude that some of the spanish speaking girls laughed and carried on in Spanish the whole time I was in there. Don't waste your money. Read Less
