Worst service I've ever gotten. Went here to get gel manicures and pedicures for a wedding, which they were informed about. All four sets of nails were atrocious. When we complained to the owner she said she didn't know what to do, and could give us a credit for $20 but still charge the $104 for a manicure, pedicure, and 30 minute facial/massage. The facial and massages were only 20 minutes and consisted of nothing. As well as, the massage therapist not knocking before openin...g the door to us changing, and seeing one of us completely naked. The owner walked away while talking to us and sent another stylist to help. Yet, they would not refund our money at all. One manicure was completely see through, another French with crooked lines. The other two had streaks and peeled off in the duration it took to hear that we couldn't get out money back. Even another worker said it shouldn't peel off that quick at all. We were willing to pay for the mediocre massages and pedicures if we were just refunded the price of the "manicures" but she refused. I cannot say enough about Robert James Salon. I have had cuts, blowouts, color and waxing from multiple people and everyone does a great job.  Nicole H. Is fantastic and i wouldn't think of going anywhere else.  The staff is knowledgeable and friendly; listening carefully to what each client is looking for.  The shop is always clean and organized.  I have a pretty complicated hair color routine and I go every three weeks.  Nicole does a perfect job from beginning to end.  Her work receives tons of compliments and people always want to know where I get my hair done.  Amber is top notch for waxing although I would go to anyone there; they all know their "stuff".  They carry a nice selection of products and always offer coffee or water when a client arrives. Everybody is excellent . From the receptionist to the stylists , always very helpful . The receptionists have fit me in and worked around my schedule every time . I have gotten color/cut/treatment from Nicole, Alex, Sherry, and Linda. I was beyond pleased with all of them and would be open to go to any one that works there because you can tell that everyone is well educated and knows exactly what they are doing . Thank you ! Very friendly personnel, relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. I personally had the Gentleman's manicure and pedicure and loved both; completely relaxed throughout the whole appointment and the results were fantastic!! When I first started going here I loved it. I recommend seeing Linda or Sarah.(5 stars for them two) However one day Linda was busy and I could not have her do my eyebrow waxing so I opted to have somebody else do it Alex. it was a big mistake. she pulled in the wrong direction taking none of the hair and skipping half of an eyebrow on one side Luckily I called back and Sarah fixed them I emailed and sent photos to the owner and got no response. so if Linda or Sarah or ever busy again I will just come back another day Read Less

I am not sure why this place does not have more reviews than the two that are listed here.   I came here in January 2015 to get a haircut as well as a color treatment.   I was scheduled for a Saturday afternoon with Sarah.  I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time and Sarah immediately greeted me once she knew I had arrived.  I am not sure about other men out there, but once I get used to a stylist and salon, it is hard for me to change.   So, needless to say, I was very nervous about visiting a new salon as well as a new stylist.   I was also getting a color treatment, which added to my anxiousness, so you can just imagine what was going on inside of me.    Well, when it was all said and done, Sarah, was the best!   She took her time recommending color options and her recommendations were "perfect".   She talked to me the whole time, as if I was a long-standing customer.   Not once did she make me feel uneasy or apprehensive.   She made me feel good about the process and put me completely at ease.   Once the coloring was done and my hair washed and rinsed, Sarah gave me a long overdue haircut.   Again, any nervousness I had was quickly erased by how Sarah talked me through some of her recommendations.  When I left the salon, I was on cloud nine.  The coloring was perfect and looked so natural and my haircut was the best.   I have found a new home at the Robert James Salon and Spa and I found Sarah, my new stylist.     Highly recommend this place. I went here to get a full set of highlights in my hair. I had an appointment but I am not a regular. A woman came in after me as a walk-in but she was known around the salon so they took her before me. My stylist was nice but a bit unrefined. She was a stylist that works there from time to time and her conversation was a bit colorful, to say the least. My highlights are *okay*. She could have gotten closer to the scalp. It made it look like I already had regrowth. Perhaps a tactic to get you to come in sooner for a retouch? One may never know. She also left a friggin HUGE patch of blonde in the very back of my hair, near the nape of my neck. Needless to say. I can't even wear my hair up without someone exclaiming, "What happened here??!" An uncouth hairstylist happened, that's what. My hair is about a Level 1 naturally so of course, she had to tone it so I didn't come out with orange-y, brassy highlights. But what I ended up with was some SUPER ash blonde pieces where she must have kept the purple shampoo on too long and some brassy blonde highlights in other places. New customers are also supposed to get a discount. I mentioned it when I walked in and before I left but somehow, they forgot to add it to my total bill. The salon itself is okay, but the owner, Robert, has a foul mouth, using the f-word multiple times throughout my haircut. There weren't any little kids around, but still.... I would think owning the business he would have a little more class.He also had one of the stylists come and hold my hair out of his way because he didn't want to use a clip, So she just stood there, looking uncomfortable. I have been a loyal customer of the owner Robert James since 1985. I travel 1 hr 30 mins every four weeks to have Robert James, cut my hair. Robert knows exactly how to cut my thick wavy hair and understands that when I come into the salon and say "cut it short" that I don't mean scalp me. Since Robert has been cutting my hair, it always looks great and is easy for me to style. I "always" get many, many compliments not just from family, friends and co-workers, but complete strangers. I am always proud to recommend Robert James Salon. I also enjoy treating myself to a spa treatment. The Stone Massage given my Ava, is so relaxing. Ava can really release the tension that builds in my neck and shoulder muscles, due from working at a computer every day. I highly recommend going to the Robert James Salon and Spa. I have been a customer of the salon for nearly 4 years and I continue to be happy with the service each and every time I go, which is about every 3 months. The haircut I get from the owner, Robert always grows in nicely, and his staff is very friendly and accommodating. The overall atmosphere of the salon is friendly & cozy.During my most recent visit (2 days ago), Robert and I decided I would try a slightly new style (no bangs), but when i got home and realized I didn't like it, he squeezed me in to his already booked schedule to cut the bangs I so desperately needed.
