They always do a good job but they aren't always the friendliest and they are a little pushy about their services. I can respect the entrepreneurial spirit but they have so many ways to upsell you its hard to keep track. I went here because of the 4+ star rating and reviews on facebook. I was a walk in on a Sunday morning, they got me in right away for a basic pedicure and gel manicure. My pedicure was nice, no issues there. The gel manicure was next, I got shuffled around to another person, not a big deal. However, they moved me chairs, twice as I waited awkwardly for about 5-10 minutes for it to start. Once she sat down, the first thing she did was try and talk me into the dip powder, repea...tedly. I heard all of the staff asking women to switch from gel to dip. Whatever, its $10 more and you cant do fills in-between (aka more money for them in the long run). Since she was so damn persistent and I just wanted my nails done for vacation, I said okay and got the dip instead. I have had many dip and gel nails done before and this was by far the worst service ever. She cut my skin with the file repeatedly and only used the super big/abrasive file, and never even touched my cuticles (which now I should be thankful for). At one point she got up and started doing someone else's nails halfway through mine! I looked around at the other customers who were also starting at me in confusion... at this point I just wanted to get out of there. She came back after about 5 minutes and rushed through the rest of my service. At one point she put alcohol on my fingers to get rid of the extra dip and they all burned.. I knew I had been cut multiple times. To top things off, their credit machine was out of order! I asked why they didn't tell me this before my appointment? no answer. Other customers were also upset by this news - they were writing card numbers on paper to charge later... not good. Thankfully I always carry an emergency blank check with me. In the end I had extra dip and gel under my nails that I had to file myself, cuts on my fingers, and terrible service. I asked another woman who sat near me on the way out if this is how it always is... she said no, and that she felt bad for me as she watched the whole thing from her seat. I have been going to happy nails for years. I will never come back here again. I got organix done a few weeks ago. The chubby asian man almost pulled my arm out of my socket repeatedly. He also did a horrible job. My nails have fallen off and broken within a few days of paying $60 for organix nails. I have come back twice to have my nails fixed.Read Less

I get my nails done here at least every three weeks and I love it! They look incredible every time. I also get pedicures here in the summer (usually about three a year) with excellent results every time. I recommend them to everyone I know! Read Less

I don't usually review places, but in you're in the St. Paul area and are looking to get your nails done, you HAVE to go to this place. Amazing service and amazing quality! Plus the place is clean and there are enough workers so there won't ever be a wait...and they do mini massages while you get a manicure! You have my business until the day I move away from St. Paul! Kokomo nail is my favorite nail salon and I won't go anywhere else. The staff is always very polite and you can tell they try very hard while painting your nails which is hard to find. I'm usually really picky with my gel manicures and every time I leave this salon they're perfect, I recommend this salon to everyone Read Less

Great pedicures but very rude employees! You can just feel them talking about you they constantly stare.. especially at you.. not once did she try to have a conversation with me.. never felt so uncomfortable and unwanted during my service.. The second you get done you go to the dry table and they rudely ask for you to pay then they just stare at you.. I told them give me one minute I literally just put lotion on.. she still just stares! This is the best nail salon I have ever been to and I will never go anywhere else. The staff is amazing, the salon is pristine and the services are on point. A normal price for a gel manicure is $30 and a pedicure is $27. A little bit higher than the rest of the salons in the area, but it is definitely worth it. They give extra long massages during pedicures and even do a mini back massage after a manicure. I love this place. Read Less

The best in the area.  Hands down.  The cleanest salon and some of the most precise nail techs.  The price is a bit higher than the rest of town, but it is worth it.  No airbrush and no acrylics.  For the trashier stereotypes of Jersey girls, that's a beautiful thing. Read Less

I have been going to this place since it opened but unfortunately they are not very loyal to their old customers. Walked in at 4:30 as a walk in and they close at 7:00 and they would not take me because I didn't have an appt. don't advertise that u accept walk ins if u want people to make appts. Also if u want people to make appts take people at their appt time. I've made several appts and they don't take u at ur appt time. Very disappointed in them. Will not go back. Read Less
