The employees here are rude!  Don't get fooled by their false advertisement saying that they are open until a certain time and then closing an hour early!  When I called, they literally hung up on me!  Obviously, they don't care about their customers or keeping them!  Real nice!  Don't go there! Doesn't even deserve one star!!! Me and my boyfriend came here a couple days ago to get pedicures, from the minute we walked in to when we left it was such a unpleasant visit. The manager was short with her words and very disrespectful to my boyfriend talking to him like he was stupid for not knowing something. (He never had a pedi before) As we were getting our pedis the manager was walking by saying "oh shit" "fuck" as if we weren't sitting right beside her. The pedi was no longer then 10 minutes, so you can already tell that there was a two second rub for the massage & they took my old nail polish off. After the horrible experience the women asked me for my credit card I asked "can you tell me the total", she acted like I was crazy for the question. I turned around to walk out the door & the women said " tip?" ...I will never be going here again & If anyone asks me where they should go I will make sure to tell them not here. Worst service ever. My daughter came in here without me and they took advantage of her. My daughter went in for Gel tips (non-French) finished with a basic color on top. They actually had the audacity to charge 10 dollars to finish the tips with a basic color. That is absurd I have been having my nails done like this for many years and never have I been asked to pay additional for finishing with a basic color. The staff was not nice to my daughter during her experience. She was on limited time and asked how long it would take - they told her it would be done by 1:30 but it took till later then 2:15; this caused her to be late for an appointment.Most of all of that may have been able to be looked over except for the terrible job done on her nails. The edges started peeling nearly immediately after leaving the salon.  Some of the nails are misshaped with on the tip and bulging on the nail bed. The nail tech was too busy talking to other staff and not paying attention to her work. Needless to say neither my daughter or myself will ever come to this place again. I can only say that 1 star is being way too nice for this place.I did try to call the salon to discuss this matter. I only get a message that this user has not setup their voicemail box.** I spoke with the owner of the store. She told me that my daughter should not have been charged what she was charged. I'm so happy I found this place! I used to leave my old nail salon unsatisfied because I always felt rushed, but that is not the case here! I got a gel manicure with a design and it came out great! They have a ton of gel color options and probably the most I've ever seen.  The salon itself has a very homey feel and I can't wait to go back! Did I mention free jelly beans and potato chips? Do yourself a favor and come here to be pampered! The seating is not only beautiful but functional and comfortable as well. I had the much needed callus remover pedicure. The foot massage was to die for and my feet feel very pampered. Diane the owner creates wonderful designs for your nails. Leaving you sparkling and pretty. I highly recommend 'Nail Candy York' I always leave with IMMACULATE nails and a smile on my face. I have had my nails done in many salons in York and I can honestly say I wouldn't go anywhere else now. Leeann is really talented and professional and very accommodating on appointments.
