(I have been here previously from my own personal experience btw)Im only writing this for my daughter who decided she wanted not to do her own acrylic nails since shes now working and attending school, so she wanted a little pampering.  First off she did call to make an appt.  I waited to hear from my daughter once she was done so I could have a sneak peak at her nails. Its hard for me  to understand how people can charge outrageous prices for crappy work. Yes I agree that some of the staff is good, maybe 2 including the owner Helen (which Ive never had as a tech). Even when I would come in on a regular and paid their prices along with ALWAYS tipping well, they still would rush my nails. My daughter came out looking as if they made no effort to file down the extra thick acrylic and on her natural nails at that. She looked like she had little duck fingers, it was extra thick and oddly shaped. I don't know if they changed the name and the staff from before but they will not be recommended by myself or my friends, as some have already stopped going there. Send your staff for proper training before you throw them on a table, people work hard for their money as you should know and understand. After spending almost $40 for something that wasn't even acrylic or gel and such trash work, she still had to come home and file them down properly. I have been coming here since I moved to the area 2 years ago right after they opened, so this review is long overdue. I can't speak about acrylics, but almost all of the nail techs that I have seen have done great gel manis and pedis!  It's clean and all of the equipment is nice. They always have new gel colors and carry almost every brand of gel polish they make!   Eyebrows can be hit or miss, but I've mostly been happy with those as well.  It really is the best in the area! I decided to go and try yet ANOTHER nail salon in hopes to not have another disappointment. The wait was def not long at all and the nail shape I requested was almost on point. The only thing I definitely did not like about the lady doing my nails was when I showed her a nail design and told her the color I wanted to do my nails ( since it was for an event) she completely disregarded what I requested. Instead she said " oh, well I think it gonna look better black instead of the gold design. Last time I checked Im the one paying for your service, this shouldn't feel the way it does when Going to a Hair Salon. Just seemed she wanted to be done with me as quickly as possible, it wasn't even packed for her to rush. I have been coming here regularly for the past few months. I've found them to be the best salon in the area. They are consistently clean and kind. About half of the time that I go I have to wait which is the only reason for 4 stars. Once I waited over an hour. And I've had to wait after making an appointment for a specific time. It is worth the wait, though - I can go 2-3 weeks before I need a refill and the gel polish lasts forever on my nails. Read Less

I came here about a week and a half after getting my first full set of acrylics done at Wonder Nails in Audubon. I scheduled my appointment with Helen, as another reviewer on Yelp recommended her! Helen was WONDERFUL; she identified what was going on with my acrylics right away. She noted that there was a lot of lift along the base of my nail, and informed me that the acrylic that had been used previously was cheap, which had a lot to do with the way my nails were growing out. She also encouraged me to use gel polish instead of regular, as I shouldn't be changing my polish regularly for the health of my nails anyway. She took a look at a nail I had injured and assured me it was ok. She has been doing nails since before her 27-year-old daughter was born, and told me she has been doing nails for 3 generations of families. I felt like I was in great hands and I learned more about nail care than I ever have before! The man who did my pedicure was nice was well - very friendly and shaped my feet up. My go to place was closed  but my nails were a complete mess after waiting weeks for my fav nail expert to get back from her wedding in Vietnam....I just couldn't go another day. The last person that gave me a gel manicure didn't seal the top or cover the sides and my right thumb nail broke so I was admittedly more anal this time about getting a better service until I can see my ONLY nail diva! Anyhow. I was really happy they were open and excited to get my nails somewhat back to normal. However, I was very put off by two things. 1) they use drills to buff the old gel off before wrapping with gel remover, cotton, and foil and 2) after insisting on a nail file instead of the drill because my nails tend to get weak and brittle easier and are quite sensitive to the vibration of the drill and sharing this information with my technician who I have no idea what her name is.....she wrapped my nails for all of two minutes before beginning to take off the gel. Now that was okay for SOME of the gel but the tips of my nails weren't lifting easy and she began abrasively scraping the gel off of the areas of my nails that hadn't been wrapped in foil,cotton, and gel remover long enough to gently slough off....needless to say I tried to gently but firmly suggest that she rewrap the nails that were giving some resistance and she began to tell me that this is how she does all her customers and she has been doing this for years. I had to remind her that I wasn't just any customer and I had special needs, requests, and expectations.....needless to say I had to be vigilant about getting an adequate service and I really struggled with staying because my nails needed some TLC and I didn't want to leave with naked nails and risk breaking anymore of them....the young lady was rough and irritated with me and I was not able to enjoy my service at all. At one point while applying the gel color before it was cured my tech took a metal utensil and took something off of my nail and painted over it with more gel color. I asked her several times to just wipe the color off and repaint it because it hadn't been cured and she did everything but what I asked and then showed me attitude and asked if I saw something on my nail and I replied that I did...she said she didn't see anything and put more gel color over the nail and asked if it looked okay. I then said it is clear to me that it doesn't matter what I think you are going to do what you want the way you want...at this point my blood was curdling but I was determined to maintain my composer (it was a Christmas miracle because I did). When I completed my service I asked the lady that warmly greeted me if I could speak to the manager and she asked what happened...I told her the highlights and she seemed genuinely apologetic. She then said that she would let me speak to the owner. When the owner appeared the body language and response that I received was more of concern for my return business than making it right for this visit. She went on to say that when I return (as if) that I should try another technician. At this point, I realized all I could do is at least try to make this a teachable moment so that no one else would have to endure a similar experience. I won't be going back. Read Less

Helen is the only one that seems to know how to shape nails properly, but she's the owner. I got her to do my pink UV gels. They looked amazing. When I had a broken nail fixed by another man, he failed to use the pink base and went right in for the clear gel. Some nails were pink and some clear. Not bad for a pedicure here. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday morning, but I only had to wait 5-10 minutes to get a regular pedicure. They have a lot of color choices to pick from. The location was spacious and clean. The nail tech didn't talk to me at all, which was fine with me. I was able to relax. The nail tech did a good job on my pedicure and polish, no complaints here. $25 for a regular pedicure. They did use a scraper for the heels of my feet, which usually I am totally against but it's been at least 6-12 months since I got a pedicure so I feel like I really needed it. Read Less

Wanted to try this salon after reading all the positive reviews, I have been trying different ones in the area. When I walked in I did have to wait a few minutes but I didn't have an appointment so that was fine. I was seated with a nice man who then was told that I wasn't the next person and he had to excuse himself and tell me to wait again. After another 10-15 minutes I finally was seated with a woman who was very nice. I told her I didn't want the pink and white again and just to refill it with the gel. Everything seemed fine till I realized that she wasn't doing anything with the white tip of my nails, just refilling the pink part. She also didn't ask if I wanted a cut down or even try to shape my nails square like I wanted. After about a half hour I realized she was done and was starting to look for the gray matte that I wanted. When I saw her paint over the white tip of my nail, I cringed bc i knew i would still be able to see the white and it wouldn't cover. From what I could see it looked OK until she started to put the matte topcoat on my nails which not only made it look bad but made it look like a kid did it, all rippled and bubbled. After I was done and gave her an average tip, I went to my car to get a better look where I was shocked to see that not only could you see white on the sides and at the top, the nail shape was the same as what I walked in with, which was 3 1/2 weeks old wear n tear plus me filling in between. I whipped out my nail filer to try to salvage my nails and not get upset, but nothing could be done!! The more I look at them the more I get upset and think what happened!?! Anyone who knows me knows how particular I am about my nails. Which is why I have been to numerous salons in the past few months trying to find my new nail home. I passed Nailush on the way to work and made it a point to come back and try them out for my acrylic refill and pedicure.I was immediately greeted and shown to a seat for my Spa Pedicure (included warm exfoliant and a hot rock massage). Amy was my nail tech. She was very thorough and made my pedicure a relaxing experience. Although they didn't have the color for my toes to match the gel color I picked for my nails Amy made sure to find something similar that I was very happy with. I have always kept the same shape for my nails but really wanted a change. After doing my acrylic refill Amy suggested different shapes and helped me pick. I couldn't be happier.The shop was bright and clean and everyone was friendly and welcoming. I definitely plan on going back to Nailush and recommend this salon. Update: my original post above didn't post so I will add a little more, I have been back to Nailush about 4-5 times and I am still blown away by this salon. I heard great things about this place so when my regular nail person told me she was taking a break, I decided to try this place out. I was seen right away and Diana did my nails for the most part. She was easy to understand and friendly. She did a great job on my nails maybe making them a bit thinner than I'm used to but the gel nail design was exactly what I wanted. 2 days later, I have chips on both hands. I go back and Diana fixes them up. The next day, another chip. Today, the entire top portion came off while.only washing my hairon. Needless to say, I'm not happy. A refund would be in order I should think. I can't go back currently, seeing as tomorrow is Christmas eve and then christmas. Perhaps the following day I'll go and see what they can do for me.12/26/15 update - I went in, showed my nails to the person that did them (which continued chipping at work, in the shower and now look much worse than the pictures show). She was nonchalant and didn't care that I was unhappy. Refused a refund or a credit of any kind. I've had gel polish for YEARS and never had this kind of problem. So I definitely found my new nail salon! Went in for the first time for a pedicure. I was greeted instantly and offered drinks and food. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Annie did my spa pedicure and I was highly satisfied!! She even did a cute design. But it wasn't just Annie who interacted with me, the entire staff wanted to make sure I felt comfortable. Love this place! Been coming here for over 5 years! Kristy does the best nails and is great with free handing designs if you show her a picture. May and Danny give the most amazing pedicures. I recommend the deluxe pedi. It comes with an orange scrub and a peppermint mask wrapped in hot towels. Pure heaven! I would come for that everyday if I could! Whole staff is super friendly too. Been looking for a new nail spot and I passed many near me to try this place. I was eyeing this place on my way to work ever since the strip mall first was built. So I took a chance and I was not disappointed. I was worried at first because I didn't get there until 5:10p and I knew they were closing at 6 but they made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. The nail tech that serviced me, Diana aka Double D, was very nice and accommodating. She even offered me food and drink. Years of going to various nail salons and never was I offered food and drink, granted she explained that it was customer appreciation day and that they have food to thank the customers from time to time so I obviously went on the right day. I got a gel mani and pedi and I am very pleased with the results. Double D suggested I try a matte finish to my manicure and it came out pretty sharp. I felt bad because she wasn't done with me until 6:45 so I made sure to tip her well for a job well done and keeping her from getting home earlier. Thanks Nailush! I'm sure I'll be coming back!By the way, the entertainment these ladies and gentleman provide with their playful banter really kept the ambiance light and relaxing in the salon.
