Horrible nail salon did my nails with the asian lady on Saturday. Asked for a full set with gel color and 3 days later my nails look like the will come out on its own. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Been going here for a couple years now and they always do a great job! Gel manicure stays on for two weeks, no chipping or peeling. Very gentle and listen to what design you want. Do have to admit sometimes they'll nick your cuticle, but what place doesn't! The location isn't as bad as you would think in Passaic! It's new to a bunch of stores and food places. I love it. I wanted to like this place. But between the owner talking down to my stylist to the obvious awkwardness that then existed in the room this place was a definitely no bueno.  To begin, I asked to make an appt with this Lee guy that everyone was raving about. I was told he was out for the day. Since I really wanted my nails done I went with the available stylist Elyse. She was a very sweet girl but the owner kept yelling at her. First, about her children who had broken a chair that previous Saturday then about pricing. The male stylist at the end was a bag of crazy. He did a woman's nails and then 3 minutes later he ran out after her. He came back in saying to Elyse, your friend no pay, your friend no pay. Now, I saw the same patron pay the owner before she sat in his chair. Elyse was too scared to say a word. She just put her head down and continued to file my nails anyway she choose. After the owner came back she told the man that yes the woman did pay. Never did he apologize to Elyse. Oh and did I mention that the elusive Lee came in to work while I was there? In the end the place was not worth going back to. My nails began to bend at the ends after 2 weeks and the were uneven. I dont see myself going back here. It was also very expensive. $75 for a full gel set with a design on two nails. Definitely not worth it. Keep your money and go to Aphrodite in Clifton or go to Garfield. Read Less

This place is old and dingy smelling...big no no. They lack common customer service skills. They don't like when you look at too many color samples (whaaaaa is that about, how am I supposed to know what colors you offer if you dont let me see your stock?).They charge you for everything- including breathing or asking questions. I asked for a fill in with gel polis, they said"ok" ...this older woman started buffing my gel polish off and ended up cut my finger because she wasn't paying attention or just didn't care...then she told me it was my fault (not a sorry or nothing-savage smh). She stopped in the middle of taking off my color before speaking in her native tongue to someone else that worked there and then telling me to go sit "over there", in the rudest tone too...I was shocked and negan to sit on the other side as she asked to then see she took someone else in her chair & behan doing her nails. I was stuck for about 2 minutes before I realized she brushes me off for one of her regulars. I think that was god's way of telling me to get the efffff up out of there and that is what I did! From the moment I walked into Hot Nails I knew from the start that I would have to wait awhile because they were very busy. I stayed anyway because i understood that doing nails and toes don't just happen magically. They do walks in and Appointments. Sitting there I saw women leave with there toes and nails looking amazing. I walked into hot nails at 1:53 and I was called to do my pedicure at 2:27. Wasn't as bad as thought it would be. Lee the manager of the Hot nails spoke to me and asked me if I wanted full set and also pedicure, I said yes. The man who did my toes Jose had a serious face but nice. He created conversation with me. BUT the way he did my nails was horrible. The nail polish was on my skin here and there, he didn't paint my whole nail. Very sloppy and rushed threw it. I'm pretty sure because someone was coming in that made an appointment before and that is why he rushed. I will go back and try someone els to do my toes and see how that works out. I put pictures up of my toes when I was in the salon and when I got home up closer.Tina, the women who did my nails very nice was determined to make me happy. She also tried to make conversation with me I told her I wanted my nails straight as shown in the picture above my nails. But she put more of a cover to it, which she told me she would do and I said okay just to see how they would come out. They were nice but when I go back for a refill I will ask from what I wanted in the first place. Be sides that my experience with her was Great. I put pictures up of my nails and above what I wanted. All together my nail and toes were 70 Dollars, only because I got this type of gel on my nails, which I loved btw my nails have been perfect ever since I left. Just f horrible.... It took almost two hours to get a full set... Nails came longer than other nails... Didn't even get to color them since I had been there for an hour n 45 mins... When spoke to manager he didn't care, he just listened and sat back down.... HORRIBLE SERVICE Read Less
