I have been a customer of this salon for many years and have always been happy there. Today, once again, I got a wonderful cut from JOYCE. Unfortunately, not as great an experience with the owner, who sent out postcards announcing nail services with a coupon stating "enjoy a free manicure with our new nail technician with any other service of $50 or more". Since my cut was $65, I assumed that I was entitled to the free manicure. No place did the postcard mention that the $50 service had to be nail based. Owner refused to honor the coupon. As a business owner myself, I do everything to satisfy my customers. How short-sighted a move this was! I will never go back for nail services and I am now a disgruntled customer sharing my experience on social media. Hope it was worth it to her! Read Less

I am very pleased with my experience at Salon BellaDonna. I've been going to the same salon for 20 years and my stylist left, I was nervous to try new.  I found a coupon in route 9 shopper for trying Kelly a new stylist at their salon, but not new. She did a great job in my color and highlights!!!!! She was never not pushy to do a full head  of highlights!! The place was very modern and up to date! The prices were moderate! Needed a blow out my appointment was for one wasn't started until 1:20 wish I was just told a later time instead of sitting there.  The girl who blew my hair out was nice but I did it more myself when I got home which is disappointing since I always do my hair myself and have photos being taken today so thought I would treat myself.  Could of saved time and money. I never write reviews on Yelp, but for this salon I had to! This place is horrible! If I could give it 0 stars I would! The one who cut my hair did a terrible job...and she was the owner, Linda! I have long hair and asked for seamless/shattered layers, with no harsh lines. I even showed her photos of what I meant. And she gave me exactly what I did not want. The layers were cut with visible harsh lines and not what I had explained. I asked her to at least use shearing scissors to get rid of some of the weight and she did a half ass job of it.  Another customer came in whom she started gossiping with and she had the nerve to not even finish blow drying my hair and asked someone else to finish it up and went straight to working on that customer.  And another thing, all the stylists in there were gossiping with one another in front of the customers...so RUDE!!! I came here super nervous for my first salon haircut in awhile. I can't pronounce the woman's name that cut my hair but she did a wonderful job. I gave three stars bc Yelp offered a $20 for $50 deal for checking in. I brought it to their attention thinking I could use it but the owner said oh no no we never posted that. It must be a typo. Then said they never use Yelp so they don't even know how it got there in the first place. It was like they can just make up a price as they go. I got a TRIM for $65. Maybe it's just my low maintenance lifestyle but that seems a tad overboard. They could only offer me 20% off and asked me if that was okay. Obviously that is not okay in comparison to the offer and if I was anyone else, it would be a "no, not okay". But I'm not one to cause a scene.. Leading me to get jipped on this... An amazing find! Lauren is so talented with color and balayage. I initially came for a color correction and after two visits my hair is finally back to exactly where I want it to be. However, I find the prices to be steep for the area and services add up quickly as everything seems to be a separate charge. Horrible experience! Not only was my cut atrocious, I was charged $70 for it. It's as if the manager makes up prices as she goes. The cherry on top of this nightmare experience was that the entire time I was there the manager was making fun of another patron after she left the salon! Bad atmosphere, even worse service. BEWARE! I found this salon after wasting a lot of money on a well rated salon in NYC. I wanted a subtle ombre, and ended up with orangey highlights. I was so upset with my hair, I was searching for a place to fix it asap and found Salon Belladonna on instagram. I saw everyone mentioning Lauren so I figured I would give it a shot, and I am SO happy I did! I have really thick hair and some stylists get tired towards the end, which is why I think it's been hard for me to find the right place. Took my 90 year old grandmother there, first time since she was in the hospital. Before going I called to see how much a trim and blow out would be, they said about $35. Service was not that friendly and seemed to be stared at as if she was an inconvenience. Hair took appr. 15 mins and was then charged $55! Needless to say, we are not going back! It's a shame that after tips, she had to pay $68 when she is on a fixed income and doesn't have much hair to do! Read Less

I found this salon by coming across Lauren's instagram while in a panic from a hair DISASTER. My hair was absolutely ruined from the salon I always go to. It was orange, bleached and fried. I cried for days not knowing what to do. They took me right away and everyone was very sweet. Lauren is amazing, professional and knew exactly what to do and what I wanted. The transformation is unbelievable. Lauren is very good at what she does and is highly skilled with balayge and natural highlights. She also recommended an olaplex treatment for the damage that was done and I couldn't believe how soft and shiny my hair is. This was my first time going to this salon and I had a wonderful experience.  Everyone was sweet, competent and stylish.  Lauren was my hair stylist and she cut and colored my hair beautifully.  I cut 9 inches off and she hair painted me a beautiful blond.  I strongly recommend this salon and would disregard the negative comments. I was procrastinating getting my hair done because I was afraid to try a new stylist, but Sheen gave me a great new look. Her subtle ombre (dark chocolate brown to light brown) gave me the dimension I wanted without looking unprofessional, and she cut off just the right length to keep my hair healthy without chopping it all off. I love Salon BellaDonna.  Its so nice to go to a salon that cares about their customers and not one of those assembly line chains that just try to get you in and out.  Ive had my hair cut, and colored with highlights there, as well as keratin.  I saw them do extensions on someone.  Very professional equipment.  I also had my eybrows waxed and a bikini wax...several times actually.  I would definitely recommend trying them out.
