Sad to say I won't be returning. I was a very regular customer a year ago, but took some time off from getting my nails done to help them grow a bit. Well my natural nails broke so I decided to return to Polished. I had an acrylic set placed and within a week I lost a nail. Not even a week and a half later and 3 more popped off. So I made an appointment to have them repaired (even left my job early) and when I got to my appointment i was told the girl left for the day. Not even a phone call as a courtesy so I can make another appointment or find another salon. And the other girl would not accommodate me. So here i am scrambling to find a place that will take me. I didn't think I'd be able to get an appointment on New Year's Eve but i called at noon and the owner said she could do a full set of UV gels at 4:30 no problem. After getting to my appointment and waiting she told me it would take over 2 1/2 hours and she only had time for a regular manicure basically telling me to leave. Hands down they are all AMAZING! All 3 of them are very attentive, interested and helpful with what you want and quick. Most places take a couple hours to get acrylics with designs and gel where as i was in and out within an hour. This is my new spot, id reccomend this to anyone. Read Less

I went with my sister on a Thursday at 4 pm for gel manicures. There was one lady working. We walked in and she asked "how can I help you?" I responded "two gel manicures, please." I had a Groupon for colored gel manicure and regular pedicure.  I made an appointment with Vianey, who I was told only works on Sunday and Monday but per the nail salon owner, the Groupon can only be used Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday even through the fine print on Groupon says Sunday thru Wednesday. I chose to do the services with Vianey based on earlier reviews and I'm glad I did.  She was very nice and friendly.  As soon as I walked into the nail salon, Vianey was just about to finish with the client.  I noticed that she was the only employee there.  I chose my nail color and immediately was seated for my pedicure.  Five minutes of soaking, Vianey finished up with the other client and came and give me a great pedicure.  She even massage the bottoms of my feet.  Omg, I need the foot rub.  It was definitely a good pedicure.  I asked if she can do a French pedicure and manicure and I'm willing to pay the additional $ but because she's on limited time with me until her next arrival and because she takes her time as a perfectionist on the artwork, she declines and advised that if I book an appointment with her next time, let her know exactly what I want so she can block out 90 minutes rather than the hour.  I appreciated that info as she's not like many other money hungry nail salons.  She honors her appointments with customers and don't like anybody to wait, which I like very much.Next was the manicure and Vianey did a very good job.  I did a very neutral basic color and she advised maybe adding some sparkles on one nail so I decided to go for it and glad I did it.   Overall, I will come again.  I already booked my next appointment with her!  Btw, parking is available in the rear but read the signs because some spots belong to other shops in the area. i think polished is a good salon ONLY because of Vianey. She's so kind & courteous and exemplifies excellent customer service and does a beautiful job. On the other hand, unfortunately, two of her colleagues aren't nearly as professional as her. Violet & Jessica. These two women are rude and LAZY. whenever i call for appointments they lie and say they're booked and they can't do my nails and always pencil me in for mondays & sundays which are Vianey's days specifically so they didn't have to do more work. I witnessed a woman come in once & there was no one else in the salon besides me. she told them she sat through one hour of traffic to get there and told them her wedding was tomorrow. only one of the two ladies was doing my fill in and the other one wasn't busy and they still made her wait an hour. everytime one of them does my nails my cuticles bleed! which by the way can cause infections. I'm glad that violet and jessica are too lazy to do my nails because they're horrific. i loved vianey's work. she treats her customers like royalty and goes above and beyond for not only her customers but for the salon. I made an appointment for a fill in a week ago for today at 2 pm. Yesterday Vianey called me and told me that Anna won't be coming to work today so all her appointments have to be postponed. i told vianey how Violet and Jessica never give me appointments & i really need a fill in. She took the majority of Anna's appointments for today including me plus her own appointments and walk ins. EVEN THOUGH Vianey doesn't do acrylics she did my fill in anyway and she did a beautiful job. AVOID AT ALL COSTSMy friend recommended Polished to me. She had been there before and was very happy every time. I used a Groupon deal for a Gel Mani and Reg Pedi for $30. I had to make an appt for Sun, because apparently they only honor Groupon customers Sun-Wed. I made an appt for 2:30pm Sun March 19, not with any particular tech, and my friend made an appointment for 3 pm that same day. She had previously purchased their Groupon deal that was for 2 visits&each time you received a Gel Mani and Reg Pedi and she spent around $60-65. The 19th was going to be her second visit with that Groupon. I walked into the salon at around 2:15pm. Not one of the 2 techs looked up or greeted me. After a minute one of them acknowledged me and told me to pick a color and that the other nail tech would be with me as soon as she was done with the client she was currently with. I was 15 mins early so it seemed normal that I would have to wait for her to be finished. 2:30 rolls around & they put me in the pedicure seat. My friend arrived at around 2:50. When my friend walked in they asked if she had an appt&she told them that she did for 3 pm. They said that they had called her that morning to confirm her appt & that she hadn't answered to which my friend replied that she called back right after. (My friend proceeds to tell me that they called to tell her that her appointment was made on "mistake" & that it should not have been made, but to come in anyway). The one nail tech (she was middle aged, and Hispanic) was so absolutely rude &unprofessional the entire time. She asked how the both of us were paying &we told her Groupons. Since my friend used the one that is valid for two times, the voucher code was not redeemable anymore. The last time they were there they gave her a piece of paper that stated she had one more use. She didn't have it with her, but she had the proof of buying the Groupon &the nail tech who gave her the slip two weeks prior was there. The rude Hispanic tech said that there was absolutely no way they could honor the second part of the Groupon without that SLIP OF PAPER, even though the other nail tech said she remembered her. Some-what understandable, but she had proof that she bought it&proof that she had one use left. My friend said that she would have her sister look for it at home, but in the meantime, she would start her nails, & if anything would pay with cash or card.  3 pm comes, I still have not been started, 30 minutes late (I HAD to make an appt bc they do not take Groupon payers without one) The rude tech looks at my friend and says "if you are getting your nails done then you need to sit in the chair now. I have to start you right now because I am not being late for my 4 o'clock appt" in the rudest way possible. (Mind you, I've been sitting there the entire time with my feet soaking, THEY are late for my appt and start my friend before they even started me) She RUSHES through my friend's appt. 3:15 pm comes, FORTY FIVE minutes after my scheduled appt time & finally the other tech comes over to start my pedicure. The pedicure was average. She painted my nails so sloppily that once she was done she had to go back with a cotton swab and clean up every single nail.My gel manicure starts; (I had to pay an extra 5 dollars, that wasn't included in the Groupon price to get the gel polish, already on my nails, off). I tell her that I want to change the shape of my nails from square to round&show her a picture. My nails were not round. She tried to make them round &failed miserably. They were all different shapes. I had to go home and fix them myself. As she's doing my nails she neglects to take care of my cuticles, so I ask her to do them & she looks up and goes "oh, you want them done?" What nail place doesn't take care of them when you get a manicure? When she goes to apply the gel to my nail she wipes most of the gel off of the brush so she's practically using a dry brush and the layers were very thin and see through. She did 2 coats & when it was still very see through I asked her to do a third. She cocked her head to the side and gave me, intentionally, the nastiest look ever, but proceeded to do a third coat. My friend has to pay for everything because they refused to reason with her about the Groupon ordeal EVEN THOUGH SHE ALREADY PAID FOR IT. The rude tech tells her it will be $45 & my friend says that it is always $35 and the tech responds with "On Sundays it's $45". WHO HAS A DIFFERENT PRICE ONE DAY A WEEK. The rude tech did not say two words to my friend the entire time, but when her 4pm appt came in, the client said "thanks for staying late for me!" which leads me to believe, that my friends appt wasn't made by mistake, but the rude nail tech wanted to fit in one of her friends. She talked to her & was super friendly the entire time.Needless to say, this experience at Polished was the most appalling, absurd, &unprofessional nail experience I've ever had the displeasure of having. Not great. No massage with the pedicure, only a dab of lotion. I have never had a nail tech get as much nail polish around my nail as here. She used a stick to get the polish off. Had my second appointment with Vianey for gel manicure and both were the best I've had , and I've been many places . If my nails hadn't grown so much I could have lasted another month with my first one . I never had a gel manicure last so long, ever. Highly recommend. If you are searching for a clean, well-done, time efficient nail salon... search no further! Polished has a polite staff that is efficient, helpful, and always ready for you at your appointment time. This place and its staff are a rare find among many bad nail salons in the lower Bergen County region.Positives: excellent staff, appointments are always on time and never more than an hour/hour and 30,  they are efficient with time - but do not cut corners on the quality of your manicure/pedicure. My gel mani and regular pedi always last 3 weeks, very rarely chips, and I use my hands all day at work! They have specials for gel mani/pedis on M,T,W and have a Groupon for first time clients. The prices are very fair.Just a few recommendations for the best possible experience: Make an appointment! These ladies are excellent and usually booked a week ahead of time... however they do take walk-ins if they are available. Also, they recently stopped taking tips on the credit/debt card... so while you can still pay for your services on your card, you must pay a cash tip and they don't have an ATM (the liquor store does, 2 doors down). I made and appointment on a Monday for the same week on that Friday for a gel SET and a pedicure. When I got there I was almost a full hour early. The lady was nice enough to take me early, even though she had another client scheduled. she told me she would start with my feet and the see her other client and then finish me up. I was more than pleased at this point. When her client left and she was ready to start with my hands she told me to pick a color, I explained to her ...I need a Gel Set. She told me I was down for a Gel polish only and she had no time to do a full set. I told her I was scheduled to be a bridesmaid in a wedding the very next day and made this appointment in advanced and she didn't care. I paid for just my feet which was overpriced at $20.00 no tip was left and I was forced to be a walk in at another place for my hands.
