I’ve given this place several try’s and phi phi did a great job only ONCE The rest of the times my nails broke within a week or less. I tell her they break easily & she’s quick to get offended. She’s rude, rough and aggressive. Today I went in and showed her how my nails were lifting when I just had them done a week ago. and instead of properly fixing them and being kind she felt the need to explain that it’s not her fault my nails are doing that. In business like this anyway clients are “always right” just fix it show that you care and take your time. Educate us then if it’s not your fault. No need to raise your voice either. Clearly she doesn’t care if her clients return or not, she obviously doesn’t need/want money that bad. It’s not like I told her she did a terrible job! although I did say they shouldnt be breaking or lifting in such little time. She doesn’t know how to tell if you need a new set or not she just thinks you can take them all off randomly and start again. How about do your job right Lady you’ve done it once before I know she’s capable. Anyway, She ripped off the parts that were breaking/lifting (yes it hurt) and then she put glue around the nail(s)... then asked me if I wanted to take off the whole nail instead cause she claims that will fix the problem. I said ummmm no?? you just glued them it will hurt if you take them off now... she said it wouldnt hurt and the glue doesn’t even help. Clearly she’s not educated. she continued to be rough and began to rush. So my friend sitting beside me said let’s just go And phi phi said “yeah go” so I walked out. And I’ll never return. So very rude.

The owners customer service is horrible. It seems as if you have any complaints the employees begin talking in their language and talk nasty and loud to you. I asked a question about a particular concern I had about my nails and the owner blew up at me saying she would charge me more. I could have easily went off but that’s exactly what establishments like this expect so I’ll handle it this way. And never patron them again. It’s very said when you spend your hard earned money in a establishment meant to help you unwind and relax treats you as if you dollar is not good enough! I would never ever recommend anyone to patron this business. My nails are done horribly. Uneven polish and acrylic applied poorly. However the young woman that did my pedicure was very polite and did a ok job. She was a little to fast and I felt rushed and not really relaxed. So what I’m not use to compared to my regular nail salon. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS UNGRATEFUL BUISNESS!!

I'm surprised to hear these negative reviews. I've been going to Phi Phi for a few years now and always love my nails and nail art. The prices are listed on the board on the wall so it's pretty easy to figure out what your nails/services are going to cost. I'm always given a receipt so I know what I'm being charged. It's clean. Of course, they are trying to make a living - there are cheaper places, but also more expensive. If you're unhappy with a service you should certainly express that, but in a civil way - they're only human.

Literally worst nail salon experience, guy rolled his eyes the whole time, my nail broke in less than 24 hours, along with my friend’s. They argued w/ us about getting a gel manicure because their gel was “expensive” but it didn’t even last a week. My nails look like I could’ve done them myself, and I honestly would’ve much rather done them myself than paid for what they gave me. Literally so terrible. I will never recommended this place to anyone nor return.

Mind you her pedi only lasted 10 minutes they didn't lotion her feet scrub it or nothing...lets gets to her mani that whole process was a joke. She didnt get her nails soaked, they didn't file her nails. Cut her cuticles all they did was paint her nails. It looked let she did it her self. They were rushing to get other clients in. Very unprofessional. Never ever going back!!!

Well let me say that i have been going to this salon for years, then they changed owners and everything went south: technicians, techniques, customer service, etc. i tried time and time again to stay loyal but they have no loyalty to the customer. So after 7 years I am in search of a new salon. You can tell that they are no longer what they used to be, even the technicians don't stay long. I really discourage anyone from going there.

The proximity of this place plus the fact they are open Sundays has landed me in one of their chairs on more than one occasion. I've said I won't be going back before, but this time was certainly my last. The pros - affordable, good hours, nice technicians who genuinely care when you aren't happy. The cons - the last manicure actually damaged my nails. The manicurist dug so deep into my nail bed with the file, trying to give me a more narrow tip?, that my fingers hurt for three days. Then, as my nails grew in the following week, would break below the line leaving me with band aids on my fingers (on vacation nonetheless). The next negative was that the polish never lasts as long and I finally realized why: she doesn't go to the edge of my nails with the clear coat. Seems gimmicky to me. I will never go back.

I've been to la perfection nails middlesex I really like Fifi she does excellent nails and I never had a problem not one time that I've been going there for the past about 8 months their prices are very fair and she doesn't excellent job but I need to show her the design that I want done on my nails from Instagram. But overall I really like the place its clean their friendly and I really enjoy this salon I haven't had a salon that I like as much is this one in a really long time.

I stopped by this salon for a mani while shopping with my mom at the farmers market next door. The staff was really nice and it's also a family business. The husband is friendly and I enjoyed talking to him and his wife about good places to eat in NYC. Go figure lol I love good food. Anyhow the gel polish is only 10 bucks which is the cheapest I've seen it for (usually its 15 and up, at my normal place they charge 20) so overall I really liked this place and I would give it a thumbs up.

TERRIBLE! my friend and i got gel french manicures. the white tips on hers were uneven so one side of the white on her nails came down a lot lower than the other side... mine wasnt really a nude or clear base, it was closer to an off white base with a white tip. we were told the gel is supposed to last a couple weeks, but they started peeling off the next day. She also buffed parts of my nails too much so now my nails feel brittle and sensitive. Part of my nail (closer to the cuticle) is fine but the rest was considerably thinned out.

I was a regular customer at this place for more than 2 years. Not any more. Usually I have to wait 5-10 minutes for my technician. Last time I went for a manicure (which I had an appointment for in advance) I had to wait 30 minutes. Once the technician finished the manicure of her last customer she proceeded to do a pedicure on her. No apologies for the wait by anyone and no one asked if maybe I could come back later. I just sat there. Then, when my technician was finally free she did a rush job on my nails. Unlike many women who get tips, acrylics and other high priced jobs I have natural nails so my simple manicure only costs them $10. Nevertheless that does not mean I should be treated like a second class citizen. I'm done with these places.

I had a bad first experience. I told them I wanted a nail color change and they fretted ( of course). After waiting for 30 mins with my bf who needed to get a pedicure, she started taking my polish off and didn't even ask if I needed a trim. Once I asked for a trim, she said, only color change no? Hello it's your job to ask me if I need more things done. The lady had very poor communication skills. She cut my nails crooked. Never coming here again. Long wait, poor customer service!

Very disappointing. Had my nails done the day before my wedding and the color underneath the gel did not dry resulting in the next 8 hours of bubbling and discoloration. Unfortunatley, I could not go back to the salon as it was my wedding day and my wedding was over an hour away. So I saved my receipt and took pictures, after all what bride would sit in a nail salon for 2 hours the day of her wedding. I went back to LA Perfection and he refused to give me a credit and told me I should have returned to his salon if I wanted that credit. He is rude and insolent. I don't think their credentials are in order either, most of the department of health and licensing was out of date. Don't get a wax here either!! Unhygienic and the tech blows on it to cool it down. For real, she blows on the wax stick to cool it - did you get that? OMG, I almost had a heart attack when she did that. Also, they will use the razor on your feet if you ask for it. By law, you are supposed to bring your own but they will be quick to whip out a used razor to shave those callouses if you ask - DON'T!I don't think their hygeine is good, very dirty. I was kicking myself for going there but their prices are so cheap! Now I know why - you get what you pay for. I hope the Dept. of Health shuts them down before someone gets a serious infection or illness from this place.,

I'm surprised to hear these negative reviews. I've been going to Phi Phi for a few years now and always love my nails and nail art. The prices are listed on the board on the wall so it's pretty easy to figure out what your nails/services are going to cost. I'm always given a receipt so I know what I'm being charged. It's clean. Of course, they are trying to make a living - there are cheaper places, but also more expensive. Literally worst nail salon experience, guy rolled his eyes the whole time, my nail broke in less than 24 hours, along with my friend’s. They argued w/ us about getting a gel manicure because their gel was “expensive” but it didn’t even last a week. Well let me say that i have been going to this salon for years, then they changed owners and everything went south: technicians, techniques, customer service, etc. i tried time and time again to stay loyal but they have no loyalty to the customer. I've been to la perfection nails middlesex I really like Fifi she does excellent nails and I never had a problem not one time that I've been going there for the past about 8 months their prices are very fair and she doesn't excellent job but I need to show her the design that I want done on my nails from Instagram. Very disappointing. Had my nails done the day before my wedding and the color underneath the gel did not dry resulting in the next 8 hours of bubbling and discoloration. Unfortunatley, I could not go back to the salon as it was my wedding day and my wedding was over an hour away. So I saved my receipt and took pictures, after all what bride would sit in a nail salon for 2 hours the day of her wedding. For real, she blows on the wax stick to cool it - did you get that? OMG, I almost had a heart attack when she did that. Also, they will use the razor on your feet if you ask for it. By law, you are supposed to bring your own but they will be quick to whip out a used razor to shave those callouses if you ask - DON'T!I don't think their hygeine is good, very dirty. I was kicking myself for going there but their prices are so cheap! Now I know why - you get what you pay for. I hope the Dept. of Health shuts them down before someone gets a serious infection or illness from this place.,
