This place is clean clutter free but the technicians are rude & when I went to get my nails done there my nails all popped off in less than 1 week . The worst place. They charge way too much money for the unsafe and painful service you receive. The nail techs are rude. The nail technician cut all my cuticles with the machine. This is a no no. As a result, end up at the doctors office with an infected nail. I was in a lot pain for a week. I called la moda and spoke to the owner. He was very rude And very unprofessional, no apology. My friend was getting her nails done and thought I'd get them done as well. I get my nails done. The girl took an 1 hour and a half to do a full set. They looked beautiful but 2 days later 2 nails fall off. Thought I'd give them another chance so I get my eyebrows done. She waxes it and all and then when she's finished she shows me with the little mirror. I seen so many hairs under my arch, so I asked her if she could clean it up. She continues to tell me that my eyebrows are already thin and plucks into my eyebrow and not under it. Completely missing the under brow. The owner is rude and arrogant. The quality of their work does not match the amount they charge. They try to force you to get gel and if you don’t they treat you like trash. If I could leave 0 stars I would. My daughter went to get her nails done for her Junior Prom and a wedding she was in.  She paid 58.00 and the nails were crooked and so poorly done, my heart broke for her. So I went in the next day with her in tow to ask for a partial refund or the $ put on a car's to redeem for future use.  The manager refused and said she could fix the nails.  (Not that she was going anywhere... The prom and wedding were over).  But since we weren't getting anything else from these crooks, I let them fix her nails.  The fix turned out to be worse than having crooked nails. Stay away from this place.  They are rude. They ripoff young adults so DO NOT send your teens there. And make sure u never buy a gift certificate for the place.  They screw u as soon as they see it. I used to come here for an occasional summer pedicure, but I wasn't getting my nails done. Then I started thinking, "why not get a manicure?" & I'm so glad I did. My natural nails grow really long & strong, but I never did anything with them. I didn't realize how crappy they looked until I saw them at their full potential! They are sexy! They used to be amazing. Now they're trash. I got my nails done a week ago and they broke two nails after. He did a horrible job and left a air bubble in my nail which popped when I got home. I broke another yesterday and just took them off. Cost 80 dollars to get it done. 5 to fix each nail and it was just a poor job all around. Super disappointed. I had a decent first experience at La Moda Nail & Spa Salon.  I decided to try them based on the positive Yelp reviews.The salon was slightly difficult to find; the parking lot is in the back of the building (connected to a PNC Bank) and the door is tucked back in a corner with some high shrubbery along the walkway.  The door was also impossible to open... I had to knock for someone to let me in.  After that awkwardness, things improved.  The salon is extremely spacious and it barely had any smell of polish/acrylic. They took me right away and the woman did a great job on my gel manicure, and it only cost $25 (I am used to paying $30 in the city).  I am 20 days out, post manicure and the majority of the gel is still on my nails; although it does look pretty ridiculous and grown out, it didn't peel off like I have experienced from other salons. Here's my take at this place. When I discovered this place 2 years ago, I loved it. My refills were on point and service was fast and friendly. Now!!!.....that's a different story. The quality of the refill was not great. Nails were breaking very often and they wouldn't trim underneath the nails. I still continued to go giving them the benefit of the doubt. Until my very last visit. I came in with my daughter, both of us wanted full set and wax. It was a full house so I can understand a little wait; However I started seeing people without appointments go before me. I waited an hour. People continue to go before me. My daughter was seen but it seem they forgot about me. Ask for how much longer, the very lost girl in the reception didn't know what to tell me. Told me it would be another 25 minutes. No way!!!! Leaving the salon now and not happy. Just received a half assed gel manicure and I'm left with nail polish all over my fingers and uneven coats of polish. I could have done a better job myself and saved $30. I was also told by the woman doing my nails that they were "too short" and she couldn't do anything with them. I have never once had someone tell me that and I have my nails done every two weeks. I think she was too concerned with talking on her blue tooth and using her iPad between coats to notice what a crappy job she was doing. I wouldn't recommend this place. Read Less

Found this place on my reliable Yelp App and noticed it had very high reviews and was less than 5 miles away from my hotel.  I called to make appointment and they told me to come down within 30 minutes and they would take care of me. There is nothing better than a clean clean clean Nail Salon with wonderful massage chairs!  My manicurist was so friendly and gave me great tips on places to visit. Tons and tons of design options and gel colors.  I will definitely come back to this place if I'm near this area.  Will also be recommending to my co worker who visits this area quite often!!! This is my favorite nail salon in the area. My mom and I go here regularly and get gel manicures. They almost always come out perfect, but once my mom's polish started to chip well before it should have and they took her in to fix it right away without charge. Visited La Moda in Merchantville yesterday for the second time. I got a gel manicure ($25) and a pedicure ($25). Walked right in, picked my color and was immediately taken to get my pedicure. The pedicure was average, nothing special. Next I got the gel manicure, which came out great! Very happy with the results! Definitely will go back there to get my gel manicures! Lola did a great job!
