Just went to hk nails cessnock as i have always done went cause they had sale on yah $35 full set nails go to pay and they want to charge full price $55 no way i said ill $35 as sale sign says so them they ring up some guy Vinnie and discuss with him and yet they still refuse to give me my change back eventually got it back but they have lost me as a customer as they weren't friendly too deal with at all unhappy customer Read Less

Yesterday I went to HK to have mine and my sister in laws nails done. Neither of us have ever had them done before and the service we got is disgusting. My nails look horrible! I asked for a square shape but got a terrible round shape, the colour I got is darker them I asked for and my nails are on angles, extremely raised and look terrible all round. The nail the put on doesn't cover my nails properly. I'm so upset with my nails that was a birthday present from my son and partner. As for my sister in laws nails she just wanted her natural nails painted and shaped, the shape she got is different from the shape she asked, nails got shortened when she didn't want them shorter and the colours she got again were different from what she asked for. The staff we had were rude. Never will I be back or recommend this place. Read Less

A while ago I went to HK for a manicure, which I was charged $50 for. I was quite disappointed that a manicure could be such an expensive price. Yes I had shellac but $50? That's the price of a full set of acrylics. I also never received the massage that you're entitled to when getting a manicure and the glitter on two of my nails had been coated on so thick it peeled off within 3 days and the manicure looked horrible. So disappointed I started going elsewhere and they do a f...abulous job of my nails for a decent price. Last week, the lady I usually see was booked out and I needed an infil so decided since HK have 50% off it shouldn't hurt to go for an infil. I was charged $40 for an infil! I questioned them saying so it's normally $80 for an infil? They told me only set things were 50% off (which maybe is advertised somewhere but I personally have not seen it) and that because I had shellac and two marble nails that was extra (which I can understand) he told me I got the manicure for $20 instead of $30, $15 extra for the shellac and $5 for the two marble nails. So I saved a total of $10. How is paying $20 for the normal $30 infil a 50% saving? I am disappointed with HK and now know to go elsewhere if I ever need my nails touched up in a rush and my normal lady I see is not available. See More Read Less

I had been looking for a better nail salon in the area and saw that this one had great reviews compared to others. I'm so glad that I gave them a try! Probably the best nail salon experience I've ever had! Not only was everyone extremely welcoming and friendly, but they kept their tools and equipment clean and sterilized. I went in for a gel manicure and was told I would have to wait a little bit, but having gone in on a Friday afternoon without an appointment I expected it. I didn't even wait 5 minutes before they started working on me, and that includes the time I spent picking my color. Other salons rush you in and out and do a bang up job but this salon took the time to make sure it was done right and looked good without cutting corners. She gave me a shoulder massage while my nails were drying and even gave me a hand massage with lotion when my nails were finished. Everybody thanked you and said goodbye when you left, they really appreciate their customers. Overall extremely pleasant experience in every way shape and form, so glad I finally found a GREAT salon! Clean and professional nail salon. Neat application of polish and they work quickly. I wish they were open on Sunday!  Sometimes you get a shoulder massage while nails are drying, and other times you don't, and that's inconsistent. Had a pedi there yesterday.  Place was clean and not crowded. Really nice selection of polish. Pedicure was done well, although I paid $5 extra for a "spa stone" pedi.  The girl did a nice job and the shoulder rub while your nails are drying is a plus. Read Less

Nice place to go! The service is great and the price is extremely cheap--$25 for a mani and pedi! The salon is a bit cramped and they lack a variety of nail polish colors, but the cleanliness, service, and skills make up for it. I appreciated the generous use of disinfectant/alcohol, as well as asking me to wash my hands in between grooming my hands. The back massage while I was drying my nails was a plus too! Read Less

Can't beat a $20 pedicure! Art Nails is located on route 34 in the Marketplace in Matawan. While they don't always have the best selection of the latest colors, the cleanliness and excellent staff make up it.
