I really hate to put a bad review after going to the salon for 11 years. I followed them from their radio Road Salon. I just feel like if you don't know exactly who to go to then Diane will give you just anybody and some of these guys really do shoddy work. It's such a shame. Last time I went I had an hour and a half to get a manicure and pedicure. I waited for 30 minutes for the pedicure to start and then informed them that I had to leave at a certain time to be back at my house for work. Diane told me I should've told her in the beginning that I had a deadline. But with an hour and a half why would I need to tell her? I had called to make an appointment so why did I wait 30 minutes? And by the way this was during the week not the weekend. So what did they do? They did no cuticle cleaning up of my fingers just threw some nail polish, gel nails, on and out the door I went. Joke of a salon. Went for their "eyelash extensions". Lol. They were Ardell single lashes that she put on. Nothing like they advertised but I didn't feel like dealing with the bullshit and fighting with dumbass employees or owners so I paid the $35 and walked out. Don't waste your time. Read Less

I love my JJ's! I've been coming here for over a few months now and I always have a great experience. The staff really care about what is best for your nails and do great quality of work. I've been to many many MANY nail salons all throughout the twin cities, fancy and not, and this one is by far my favorite. Simple and easy location, right at the heart of the beloved town of Stillwater. They offer a vast amount of services in addition to manicures and pedicures. They do waxing and message as well! Im also a huge fan of the gel powder dip for my nails and they are one of the few salons in the metro area that does it and does it very well! Read Less

I love JJ Nails in Stillwater. It's right on Main Street. They are open seven days a week. Hardest workers ever! They do a great job especially Miki! You even get a little neck massage while you get your nails done and it's free!! Read Less

I called 1 week before and got a 10:15 appt for my best friend and I who flew in from Reno for her birthday!!! Then they never came to work. We waiting 40 minutes and went some where else. To bad I can't do a 0 stars... completely disappointed. Read Less

These guys are awesome! I got a manny-peddy and they pay great attention to detail. They also do a fabulous job with massage during that service, legs & feet, hands, even shoulders and neck while they dried! They speak to their customers instead of each other in another language. I have been a customer for YEARS.  Andy does my nails and does an excellent job.  However- he is out for a few weeks because he and his wife just had a baby and I had the owner, Diane do my nails.  I will NEVER go back.  I will miss Andy, but Diane was rude, condescending, she pulled my nails off without any soaking (didn't want to waste time because the salon was busy).  She actually put a small hole in the middle of my pinky nailbed.  I wanted a new set- starting over with pink and whites.  They are too long- I told her I wanted them short, too square and I had to go home and clean up all the edges that were snagging on everything.  I am saddened, that as a long time customer- that she would treat me this way. This place is phenomenal. No, I am not posting this on Angie's list ....where relatives can just write reviews to "recommend." I know NOTHING about the owner's personal lives. Only their names: Paul and Diane. However, they have an employee named "AMY" ..... and if you want GREAT service in terms of waxing, Pedicures, Manicures. ..... REQUEST HER! I have no idea where she lives or again, anything about her personal life. The owners I believe are of Vietnamese origin. It irks me when they speak in their native tongue to each other. It's rude. But I can overcome that. I am fluent in French. I am guessing they must know that language, but I could be wrong. That is my one and only pet peeve. Sorry, but I speak the truth. If they see this and wish to erase or redact that "constructive criticism", that is up to them..... HOWEVER... They are CLEAN... CARING... FAIR.... and HONEST....and they go above and BEYOND excellent customer service. I Give them 5 Gold Stars.
