Stopped in to this salon on my way home from work. Literally THE worst pedicure I've ever received. Extremely rude staff, the woman doing my pedicure actually rolled her eyes and sighed heavily when I ask that she cut my nails. THEN she tells me that the Essie color I've selected will cost $4 more than any other... Gotham nails is always clean, the staff is well trained and kind. One can walk in at anytime and is welcome and they try to serve you as soon as possible. The space is tranquil and luminous. The first time I came here, I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure got done with no problem, but when I sat in the manicure chair the manicurist started and left me in the middle of filing my nails to work on somebody else without any word. I was left with my nails half filed and didn't have someone sit down to help me until about 20 minutes later. This manicurist wasn't paying any attention to what she was doing and kept answering her cell phone while she was working on me. The manicure did not come out good and chipped by the next day, and she also used the wrong color, which I didn't notice until she had done two nails so I just let it go. I decided to give this place another try as it is so conveniently close to my apartment. Again, the pedicure went smoothly but the manicurist cut my cuticle very badly and it was bleeding nonstop, which made the manicure look bad. She also didn't tell me Essie gel cost more than other gel before she did my manicure, so I was surprised when I had to pay $40. I would have rather been warned before they went in with the nail polish, I would have happily chosen a different brand. Pedicure was alright, not the best nor the worst I've experienced. Also got a gel polish manicure except the technician did not touch my cuticles at all, which was a first for me. Also, the gel was put on way too thick which made my nails look distorted and needless to say lasted less than a week. Read Less

This place is overall great, waiting time is minimal to none, staff is friendly and welcoming. For Gel manicures ask for Blanca! She's is amazing, very good work! I can go a month or longer without getting another manicure if I really wanted to, but the growth makes me do them every 2-3 weeks. Read Less

Highly recommend Gotham for Gel Manicures!  Rosie and Erica are the owners and they are also the most requested. Make an appointment with them to get some TLC. Both do a top notch job for gels. The other technicians are extremely well trained and I never have to worry about if I getting an experienced tech. They all know how to make my gel manicure last. I'm convinced its the high quality base coat and their odd drying technique where you place one to two fingers at a time. $30 Gel Manicure and $50 for Gel Manicure and Pedicure, great deal! Only con is that their color selection is very limited and beware they charge $40 for ESSIE GEL not $30. Nail story II charges $10 more for a Gel Manicure and Pedi but they don't charge extra for Essie. Although they do have amazing colors, Nail Story gel manicures are honestly awful! Every single time they have lifted, chipped, or peeled before two weeks. Gotham Nails is a cut above. Great value and they grow out beautifully! Love this place! Read Less

This salon is very unprofessional. Once I got a pedicure and she made my toe bleed. I reluctantly came back for another pedicure and she exfoliated, but completely skipped over the lotion/massage portion so I left with dry itchy skin. The workers chat the entire time they are working and don't pay attention to what they are doing. Also, they speak little English and didn't even know what I meant when I said "callous removal". Hate giving bad reviews but being a business owner, staff giving attitude for a service being paid for is a big no no in my book. This was my third time there, first visit was good. Second visit was a little attitude, this last visit, I wanted to stand up and leave and if it wasn't for my feet being wrapped, I would have left. Unacceptable service. This place was okay. Overall my pedicure turned out okay but she did hurt me once when working on one of my toes. The place smelled so strong of acetone so it was hard to relax. Also the women working there were just very chatty and not very professional. If you're in a pinch, I'd say go... But otherwise, I'd find a different place. Read Less

Bad experience. The lady did my nail does not even looking at what she was doing. She was looking around at other people, not even paying attention. Sloppy job. The nail polish was fine but they don't even pretend they care. She cut me and kept wanting to put acetone on it. What?! I am not even being picky, it is too obvious that she does not give a you know what to what she was doing. Recently visited Gotham to get my gel tips refilled. Walked in around 6pm on a Tuesday, I was helped right away. Erica was great. My nails look fantastic, and I even went for the mood changing polish. They are pink/nude when warm and red-orange when cold. I've also been here for a basic gel manicure, and I have no complaints. Do not come here for a pedicure. I don't think half these ladies have licenses to do them and the last few times I was in there, their teenaged daughters were starting customers off in the chairs because they are understaffed. Very unprofessional. They don't cut you toe nails straight, and the paint jobs are even worst. None of the paint stays within the lines and they glob on the polish. I have been a few times and it's OK, good price for a very clean and tidy salon, but today I went and had the best treatment of all. I have been there before when it was very busy and it feels like they rush it especially on the gels- they have not cut my cuticles or massage my hands before- but today I went midday on a weekday so it was slow.. Well the woman did a beautiful job on my gels and took a ton of time clean my cuticles massage and all great treatment for only 30 bucks! They have definitely bumped up in my book! 4 stars!!! My roommate and I popped in for impromptu mani/pedis and were thrilled that this place is within cheap, plastic flip-flopping distance of our apartment. The entire space is open with lots of light and plenty of room for everyone to spread out without bumping elbows with one stranger while having your callouses scrubbed off by another stranger. What REALLY warrants a 5 star review is that it doesn't have that overwhelming, pungent smell of nail polish remover. This place definitely has more of a spa-like feel versus a "that cheap nail place on the corner" vibe. I will be back! Read Less
