I've been coming here for 3 years. I absolutely love getting my nails done by Julie and Jackie. They are exceptional and do an amazing job. I am infuriated by the owner. Not only does she treat them badly but she is extremely rude and inconsiderate. I made an appointment for which I was ten minutes late and I let them know vía text that I would be. Not only did she make me wait till my girl finished a pedi but also a mani. Another girl was available when I arrived but she gave her to a walk in and completely disregarded my appointment. Went in to replace my broken nail. Waited 35 minutes. That wasn't the problem, I had to pay $5 for poor service. I was rushed and felt like other customers were put before me. I have recently switched to Soho after going to a nearby nail salon for years... it is always a calm, peaceful environment and the technicians give some of the best manicures/pedicures I've ever had! They are all so welcoming and friendly and never make you feel rushed! It feels much more like a spa experience compared to the other place in town which has a rude staff and is always hectic. The place is CLEAN, the staff are friendly, and they do a hot stone message as part of their regular pedicure. What more do you want? The prices aren't too crazy either and they have OPI and Essie colors/shellac. Park behind cause you know you can't parallel park. Read Less

I went in to get my nails done for my wedding. The staff were clean, engaging and did good work. However, I requested "whatever is the LEAST expensive" when getting my nails done as I requested tips, which I had never gotten before. She asked if I wanted UV Gel or acrylics and I very specifically said TWICE that I didn't know what to get because I had never done tips before, but I wanted the least expensive option. She chose UV gel, didn't tell me, and charged me $75--the MOST expensive option. Needless to say, I was very surprised by the charge.I will not be going back because I feel it was an opportunistic charge. Also got a pedi. My bill was $100 + tip, but they would have gotten a lot more out of me in the long run with return visits if they hadn't taken advantage of my ignorance this time.Two stars because my nails do look great, but not worth the dishonest business practice. Soho is my favorite place in Highland Park.  The staff is very friendly and they do a good job.  It's reasonably priced and I always leave pleased with my services.It gets busy on the weekends so I would call ahead to make sure they don't have too much of a wait!  I've waited an hour before because I didn't call ahead and they didn't tell me the wait was going to be so long.
