I was in a pinch...Last minute option....Had no idea I could be so disappointed !Sadly, the staff was totally unprofessional.I simple gel manicure and pedicure turned into quite a disaster...Oh boy What did I get myself intoNot sure if my tech was a complete amateur, my nails were filed all different lengths and shapesI walked out with two damaged nails!Unfortunately my pedicure was just as badDidn't realize I was in a marathon for a pedicure in less than 15 minutes I was out of her chair glob polish all over my toes nails were not filed properly and the whole purpose of a pedicure  for me is  the experience of the massage which I was short changed didn't have oneI walked out with the heels of my feet rougher than when I went in!I'm sad to say I would never recommend this salon to anyone... I sat in pedicure chair for a total of 17 minutes. The actual pedicure was terrible. When I say it was so rushed though. The actual polish off to scrubbing was 11 minutes. The lotion massage at the end took longer than whole pedicure. I've never been so rushed. They want you in and out. I stopped several times to file them myself. Not a good experience. Read Less

My friends and I agree that 4U Nail salon provides consistently good service.  The 4U spa pedicure with Katie is the ultimate pampering experience. This Nail place is super comfortable and people who are working there are very pleasant. If you are looking for a salon that treats you good, this is definitely the place to go.I have 2 favorite ladies, Julie (Yolanda)who always gives me an Amazing pedicure... Her spa pedi is sooo thorough and she is very creative. I don't usually do regular manicure since I am bit "rough" on my nails so I just do Gel Manicure with June who is so Lovely and always on time with me. Massages are always giving towards the end. I came here for my first visit a few weeks ago in dire need of a "pick me up". I went with my classmates, one of whom this is her regular nail salon and how I found out about this place. I really only have two requirements for a nail salon: open on Sundays and accepts credit card. This place meets both. It's very spacious and clean looking. We were here during the day on a Friday and I was surprised how packed it was for a work day. However the place was so big and there was enough staff working that they were able to accomodate everyone. None of us had appointments and were able to get seated right away for pedicures. We were also able to get seated all right next to each other which was appreciated bc half the fun of getting your nails done with friends is gossiping, ammirighttt? Also I love when nail salons do the neck massages when you're at the drying station. It felt so good! Also, I appreciate the many magazines they had. I was able to freak out the lady next to me when the magazine I was reading had a picture from a scene in Kanye West's new music video, the one where Bill Cosby is nude. Anyways, there's also plenty of parking in the rear. It's the same parking lot for Rosie's Wine Bar. It can be kinda easy to miss if you're coming from the back entrance but there is a tiny sign on the door. My only complaints really is that they don't do eyebrows (needed mine desperately waxed! hello unibrow! however there's a  European Wax place within walking distance of this salon) and they could've had more of a nail polish selection. I started coming to 4 U nails when I first moved to this area in 2012. During this visit, I got a regular pedicure.Pluses: The owner does an excellent job of managing the staff and waiting customers so folks  receive their service in the order they arrived or at their scheduled appointment time.New nail files, buffers and toe separators are used on each patron and the metal tools appeared to be adequately sterilized.Minuses: The quality of the pedicure depends on the technician. There are many technicians and each has her own strength (or weakness) - some file nails better, spend more time scrubbing and massaging or polish more neatly.Overall, it is an excellent place for a quick, quality pedicure. Let me being by telling you I was recommended to this place by a friend, so needless to say I was expecting to love it. I walk in and it looks bright and clean, wonderful! I get seated right away, even better! Now to the actual service.. the girl sits down and doesn't ask a single question, as to what I wanted or how I wanted it. She begins to file my toe nails ..OR should I say, pretends to file my toe nails. She doesn't try to make my toe nails even!! Thats a basic and a staple in pedicures, getting toe nails even!! I get that I keep my toe nails short but that only means you have less work to do so you need to make sure they are EVEN, very simple!!! She moves on the filing my feet for dry skin. She filed for all of 2 seconds.. literally 2 seconds.. keep in mine, my feet soaked for less then 1 second!!! She then begins to "massage" ... and not massage my feet but she massages my shin for about 3 mintues stright (this was what she thought she was going to spend time doing) I told her to stop massaging my shin because it was not a massage it was actually hurting me because that is not what you massage you massage muscle not bones. She then attemp to apply color. Well I definitely should have picked a light color because the mess that she made, I had to go home and clean up after her... this was the WORSE pedicure of my entire life. I know its hard to find a good nail salon but this place will never see me again. At the end of experience I tell the owner how horrible the pedicure was and he beings to tells me that every pedicure is different!?!?! Huh?!?!? Sir, unlike the people you have working here, I actually have my nail tech license and I know what a pedicure is suppose to be and not be!!! Went to get a gel tips manicure, they ignored that I wanted tips. But I thought okay I get annoyed at tips so maybe this is for the better. Rudest staff ever. I didn't realize that the timer had been up on the light that dries your nails and the woman said oh my god in aggravation and took my hand and put it in and out of the dryer and said you see? Do this. I haven't gotten my nails done in years, so I didn't realize. Extremely rude. I showed her the design I wanted (a simple mickey head in the corner) and it came out awful plus she started adding random lines without asking which made it look like he had lines coming out of his head. I am satisfied with the manis and pedis here. For one, I like that they work to get their customers in and get you out if you have a schedule. Compared to three other similar nail salons in the area, they are the best for a simple mani and pedi. There is almost never a wait, they are happy to see you, and for me, the gels last longer than any other salon I have been too. I'd definitely go here over the non-salon places in the area. I have gone here many times. When they first opened it was very nice. Now, they are rude, Rush you, talk about you, and just care about your $. They also can not offer massages due to a contract with massage envy across the street, however they still offer 10 min massages and ask me when I go if I want one. My first time there was a great experience. My spa pedicure was very nice.  She took her time and massaged my feet. I felt like falling asleep.  Of course, I didn't get the hot stone rub on my legs and the plastic bag with oil rubbed on the soles of my feet. However, my feet came out feeling great. All you need to know: Don't go here! What a waste of time and money ($58 for gel mani/pedi is higher than other, cleaner, better places).My pedicure was 15 minutes max: Cold water, no soaking... just really for her to rinse. No leg massage just slapped a little lotion on and wipes the excess a cold towel (wish I was exaggerating). Should have left at that point but I needed a manicure badly. For the gel manicure I had two different technicians, equally rough & unfriendly. My nails are crooked, shoddily painted, and I had to ask her to do my cuticles. The uv light was dirty and after about 30 seconds they told me to hurry up out of the chair so the next person could go. Decide for yourself... Proceed with caution... You get the point! Read Less

I love this place. I added a photo of my manicure just to show how much of a great job they do. I see Lee or Joy - I wouldn't recommend seeing anyone other than that. For pedicures, you can pretty much see anyone. But as for manicures Lee and Joy really, really make sure your nails look perfect. I do not understand why people are so critical about this nail salon. They have always taken me right away, done a great job on my gel manicure and even my pedicures.  I have diabetes and they knew right away what not to do on my feet or toes. Went last night - called to see what the latest time I could come in - based on my schedule! got there shortly after 6 - they are open until 7. Brought my niece, too. It's an efficient and well maintained nail salon. My relatives have been going to them for a long time. I personally don't want to spend all of my spare time getting my nails done. Its very hard to find a quality nail salon in the crandford/garwood area. This place is clean, reasonably priced and in a good location but thats where it ends. There is nothing worse than people talking about you in another language while you are trying to enjoy a relaxing pedicure. The nail technicians are rude! Chatting away talking about me and the woman next to me. Laughing - pointing. it was ridiculous. As a paying customer,  i was appalled.  I come to a place to get a pedicure to relax. if i could give this sad excuse for a nail salon 0 stars I would.....First things first; I have beautiful nails. No, I do not want the 14 day wear Shelac polish, because they will become brittle. So don't ask me. Do not ask me multiple times either.The nasty lady who did my nails was extremely rude. When I asked for a third coat on my fingers, she replied "no your nails are  just bumpy"....I do not have bumpy nails. Maybe if you didn't polish my nails like you were on speed they would be smooth.  Oh and after I asked for the third coat I didn't receive my back massage.An essential part of a manicure is the grooming of cuticles, so do your job! Here's my story:I live near Garwood but travel all the way to Middletown to get my nails done because I cannot find a nail salon in this area that does an air-brushed French manicure (I don't like them done by hand because it looks sloppy)... so... I was in need of a gel- fill right away and did not have the time to travel to Middletown. I decided that I would get a gel-fill with color rather than the normal French.I called 4U Nails prior to going in to find out how much a gel-fill would be. The woman said it would be $35 so I went in right away. Got a great manicure with the standard mini shoulder massage. When I went to pay, she says $60. $60 for a fill?! We are not in Manhattan for goodness sakes! That is INSANE! I told her that I was quoted $35 over the phone. She looks at me apologetically and says it's $35 for a clear fill and if you get color, it's $60. Who the heck ever goes in for a clear fill?! I was pissed. I told her that the place I usually go to charges me $28 for a color or French gel fill and then she looked at me stunned. I thanked her for the manicure and she tried to give a $2 coupon for a pedicure, saying that they give great pedicures for $20... no thanks. $72 including tip for a FILL! Ridiculous. Read Less
