I’ve been going to this place the past couple times i’ve gotten my nails done. I recently started getting gel, and I absolutely loved how they turned out. The most recent time I got my nails done, I did regular polish (to give my nails a break) and it was absolutely horrific. Some guy who’s never done my nails did them, he didn’t properly take off the gel and they didn’t dry for hours. They were messed up before I even left the store. Then, when I got home, I was so fed up that i tried to redo my nails myself and it won’t even come off! So I’ve never had luck with nails salons and I just settled for this one because it was close to my house. I always walk out finding something wrong with my nails or just not liking them completely. Micheal who is the owner is always running late because he has to smoke after every appointment. He globs on the nail polish making them uneven and the designs he does are just horrible. I’m realizing this because last night I went to a new place and I’ve never be so happy about how my nails came out. When I first got there he laughed and asked what kind of design was on my finger he then asked who did it and I said the owner of exotic nails he laughed and repeated “owner?!” This place is called nails to perfection in Howell and I must say a little longer drive is worth it because my nails a truly perfect go try them out!! I am not one to complain or give google reviews but I was so annoyed last night that I looked them up. It's hard enough when the person doing a pedi or mani can't speak english. I picked a color for my pedi that was a cream color with tiny gold specks in it for shoes I am wearing at my daughters wedding. When applying the color it ended up being large specks of silver,blues,etc. It as gaudy. I said this is not what I picked out. She proceeded to tell me the "numbers" matched. I said I don't care what the numbers say, it is so not the same. I asked the mother of Laney, she looked and had the nerve to say "I don't Know" I said are your kidding me. Her client looked at me like yea you are right. Brought it to Laney and she says- oh well after a couple of coats there is alot of glitter. I said it is not the same. My toes looked like clown feet. I made her take that off. After that she had an attitude and I gave her another color the client next to me handed to me and had her put it on. Ok go to the Mani table and I said where is the color sample I gave you for my nails. Says I don't know give me your hands. I said no I want the color sample so you know what I want. Hands me there basket of colors and walks out of the store. When I finally found the one I originally handed to her I then waited for her to come back. I was just about to get up and leave when she finally came back so I let her start. Not a word from her when I asked if I can get a design. I said excuse me but can I get a design on my ring fingers. She finally said 'I don't do designs" I said well someone can, right? No answer. So I called over to Laney and said "Someone can do a design right? She said yes and i said thank you. This person was rude or maybe couldn't speak english or pretended to. It was a fast Pedi and after the mani was over and i paid she walked away. I still gave a tip because that's the kind of person I am but I am done with this place. Too many other great places out there! Read Less
