Only giving this one star because I can't go any lower. THIS IS THE WORST NAIL SALON!! DO NOT GO HERE! I cannot believe this place. I went on Saturday with my mom and I was appalled. We both got a pedicure and manicure. While the nail technician was doing my mom's pedicure, my mom asked if she would also be doing her nails. The technician responded, "Oh I hope not. If the other nail technicians are not busy then I'll have someone else do them, but if they are, I guess I'll do them." My mom and I were shocked. The same lady ended up doing her nails. My mom had asked for coffin shaped nails and then ended up changing her mind. The nail technician responded, "Oh good because I was going to tell you no because that would be more work for me." Her nails came out horrible. They were bubbled up. The technician who did my nails was too worried about being on her phone instead of paying attention to me. She cut me twice. She didn't even take of my nail polish completely before starting a fill. My acrylic came out bumpy. My mom called today to speak to the owner to tell her about what happened, and she hung up on her! My 83 year old grandma has been going here for years. After deciding not to drive anymore, she isn't able to go as frequently. I took her to get her nails done today and when we were at the counter to pay, they told her it would be $5 more than the normal price since she isn't coming every other week. Horrible Place. Asked for gel tips lady put extensions with the gel not tips. When asked she said that what they do. She was done doing it in 40 minutes. When I went to pay it was $105 which is the highest I ever paid for this they of shitty service. I asked how much they charge for a gel pedicure and they said it would be $55. I just left Luxi nails and I was appalled. I have been a client of Luxi nails for years as of today I will no longer patronize this establishment. Apparently the technicians pick and choose whom nails they prefer to work on. I was first to walk in and one of the male technicians walked up and asked me what I was getting done I said a regular manicure another woman of a different ethnicity walked in one minute after me with no appointment said she was getting a regular manicure as well he proceeded to do her nails first. I mentioned I was first and he said absoutely nothing he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. I will never come here again. I've been going for about 3-4 years and never had a problem. Prices were a bit steep but they have great service so I dealt with it. Went today, got my normal new set and gel color expecting to pay my normal $55 and later on found out that I was getting $100 service that I never asked for. My nails look nice but definitely not worth $100 (mind you, I was given the exact same service as I normally do for half the price) My cuticles are still bleeding and I had to stop the woman multiple times from continuing to file down my bruised cuticle. Not sure if they jacked up the prices, but I will most definitely never come back to Luxi again. WAY BETTER SERVICE HERE THEN AT THE ONE IN HIGHLAND PARK. I usually get gel, but today I decided to try a French manicure with regular nail polish and Nicole did such a good job. I have shorts nails and I think she just did a really good job. The receptionist was even really well mannered and answered all my question about pricing. Will be coming here again! I wish I could say it was a Spa experience but it is not always such. Many of the personnel are great, especially Lourdes, she does and pays attention to the client needs . There are attention few other technicians who are also good. But some are so busy trying to see what the other technicians are doing. Recently I had one work on one hand and forgot to do most of the things she was suppose to do on my other hand, she did what I would call a 1/2:Ass job, I won't be using her again because she was busy watching what everyone else was doing and not me her client. Susan is great and also pleasant and professional. I think they need to retool and make the place an experience to remember not an experience. The girl was doing a terrific job but then we both realized at the very end that one of the nail microwaves had not been fully working and left an unattractive manicure on half the hand. A few of the staff swooped in to assist, and Kevin restarted a few nails & finished the manicure Bc the original girl had another appointment. Wow, I could have sworn I've rated my go-to nail place before this! Anyway, I've been coming here since I moved to NJ in late 2011. I always opt for the gel mani which is $35. Pricey but worth it. My manicures almost always last 3 weeks and you always get a neck/shoulder massage at the end. The owner is sweet and all of the ladies I've had, I've liked. Danny does amazing massages but I haven't seen him the last few times I've come here. The place is clean, accommodating, and there is an ATM inside as well. I decided to give this place 2 chances before writing a review. I'll give the pros and cons:Pros:Barely no wait timeFriendly service Great manicure Cons:Sns doesn't even last a weekLimited colors for snsLacking sns experience Here's what happened. I have had SNS in the past and it lasted close to 3 weeks with no chips. I loved to jersey and stopped by this place to see if they offered SNS, they said yes. I can back on a different date to have my nails done. When I came in I was greeted promptly. I told them I wanted SNS, there seemed to be confusion about SNs. It didn't seem like anyone knew how to do it but offered the service anyway. I had three different ladies during the first ten minutes start my manicure. Then after I finally had one lady doing my nails, another lady looked over us and seemed be telling her how to do it. At the end of the manicure the top coat didn't seem to be shiny so this other lady brought over a different top coat. I'm not even sure if it was the correct one. Well, the end result was not the color I wanted. It didn't even look a little bit like the color of the sample but I was okay with it. My nails did look great despite all of the issues during the process. They started chipping after 4 days. I was super upset as SNS costs more than a gel manicure, $40 to be exact. So I was upset about paying $40 for a manicure that didn't last. I came back a week later to give them another chance. I believe I had the same lady as I had for the last manicure. All seemed to go much better than the last time and my manicure looked amazing when I was done. Well, here I am 4 days later with chipped nails again and $40 in he hole plus tip for both visits. I don't know what the problem is but if this salon doesn't know how to correctly provide an SNS manicure then it shouldn't be offered. A regular manicure would have lasted longer and cost me a lot less. I won't be back again. Sad because my nails looked amazing despite the fact that they didn't last a week. Read Less

Absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE!! You get A+ treatment here and the owner Sue remembers all regular clients BY THEIR FIRST NAME and greets everyone who enters her facilities with a warm welcome! She and her staff are amazing and really cater to their clients!! I always wonder how Sue can remember everyones name without even looking on the appointment list! This place is always packed ! So I recommend you make an appointment or get your nails done in the mornings on and day between Mon-Wed. Otherwise make an appointment. Yesterday was my 1st time there my sister raved about how amazing the experience was and I had to see for myself. I left a very relaxed and satisfied customer! The service is great especially for the price. They go above and beyond. I had a pedicure that included a foot scrub and a 5 MIN foot and leg massage. The service seemed to go by quick without it feeling rushed in any way. While I dried My nail Polish I received another massage on my shoulder and neck. All for $25!! I had the worst experience ever both my daughter and myself waiting 40 mins for two spa manicures and pedicures they do half a manicure and ask us to go to the pedicure chair and mid pedicure they tell us they cannot do a full service we requested and tell us they can finish in 10 mins. Because they are so greedy they have to fit everyone in who walks through the door and tell them to wait and then do a half ass job and the kicker is they ask for payment in the first few sec...onds of the manicure. We got up and said it was not acceptable and left. They tried not to offer a free pedicure or manicure and just said sorry. I'm pissed at the moment. I made an appointment for 2:00. I call at 2:01 because I'm @ the light coming in to the parking lot to say I'm coming in as soon as I park. He proceeds to tell me Lori had to take someone. Are you kidding me? I am a frequent customer who spends more than your average person here. Why should I wait 10mims when I actually have an appointment at 2:00 and its 2:02? I called because I'm aware of how busy Luxi can be. I've been late and needed to reschedule in the past, so this is why I called to say I'm here. Called to inquire how much a student pedicure would be . Was told 23 for a regular and 33 for gel. My daughter went and again asked upon entering how much a gel student pedicure was. She was told 33. Was quite surprised when I went to pay and was charged 53.00. Their response was it's 33 on top of the 23. That still didn't add up ...that would have been 56.00 using that math...bottom line they refused to admit they told my daughter the wrong price and we had to pay 53 .00 for the pedicure . First of this place doesn't even deserve one review. I decided to go here today bc my salon is a little bit out of the way and I am leaving for vacation tonight. (But now I have to drive there anyway to fix my nails) I had an older lady named Annie. She was nice only cause she kept complimenting me. But despite that, she was an awful nail tech. I came in for a simple pedicure and gel manicure. I'll let the photos speak for itself. They also had a price discrepancy. First I was told it was going to be $55 then Annie attempted to change it on me and said $60. I wasn't going to tip her but she was hovering while I was paying. So I felt forced. They also don't accept tip on debt cards so I was forced to use their sketchy atm to tip Annie $10 for a shitty ass job. She also told me that normally they would charge extra for an additional coat? My friend and I had the spa pedicure and a manicure which I had done in the past. I was so disappointed in our experience and will not return. Not only did I feel rushed, but they did my manicure in the pedicure chair which was so uncomfortable and the girls doing our nails thought we couldn't understand Spanish and bad mouthed us the whole time.
