I was nervous about choosing a nail salon because of reading so many terrible reviews but decided on Lotus because all the reviews were favorable.  I was not disappointed.I made an appointment for a Friday AM. I drove from Warren County and was about 20 min early.  The technician took me right away.  I had a full set of acrylics completed in under an hour.  I also got a pedicure.  It was pretty good.  I left with really smooth soft soles.  The salon was clean, well lit, English was spoken for the most part and the atmosphere didn't feel rushed.  All positives.  Would recommend and would go back.  Already scheduled my next appointment. Got a gel mani and a regular pedi. NEVER GET A GEL MANICURE HERE! is was done the WRONG way. The General man filed my nails down using a machine and RUINED them. He insisted he knew what he was doing, but now may nails are thin as paper. Ladies!!! This is wrong!!! I've had gels elsewhere and when I take off the gel weeks later my nails are still full and healthy, but not from here! I've come here 4 times to get my nails/toes done and to get eyebrow and lip waxes. Every time I've gotten my nails and toes done I've always been happy and they've done a great job. If you're looking to get waxed I would suggest going to a different place though. Maybe the person that waxed me was new but sadly to say they double dipped with the wax which is super unsanitary and a major no no. Also, before she waxed me she didn't clean the area with alcohol swabs or anything and after I had to ask if she could use something  to put over the freshly waxed area to soothe the skin. She took ALOT of aloe and got it in one of my eyes and kind of messed up my mascara. I'm a pretty good sport and I still gave her a great tip and kind of laughed it off but the double dipping really bothered me and when you're going to get a service like this done you want to be 100% you're being taken care of in the right ways.Great nail place....not so great waxing place Read Less

Chose Lotus for my wedding manicure and couldn't be happier with my decision! Every time I've gone and gotten a gel manicure it's been applied with measured attention to detail and has lasted 3+ weeks. This is now my go to salon in Hunterdon! Read Less

Really bad. The pedicure I paid $30 for was uneven, jagged, and had bubbles. My nails were cut slanted with no method to the madness. When my technician bumped one of my nails and rubbed some polish off, she just haphazardly clumped more on over top, so now the surface is uneven and lumpy. I literally could have done a better job myself at home. I cancelled my gel manicure on the spot, and I'm getting my toes fixed somewhere else. As an added bonus, I watched another woman be ushered to a dirty, used pedicure basin that I just watched them scrub someone else's feet in seconds before. Gross!!! Read Less
