Called in for a manicure and pedicure. When I got there they acted surprised that I also wanted a pedicure, even though I made an appointment for it and the person on the other line repeated it back to me. Once she wrapped my nails in foil to take off current manicure which could of had more polish remover on it she asked me to sit in the pedicure chair. I asked to get my nails filed down and she barely did anything to the nail. I was better off her cutting them shorter. Once the pedicure was done she passed me off to the guy working there, there was clearly a language barrier because I had to explain myself multiple times and even have another person translate. Once he understood he proceeded to not pay attention to my nails and talk ALOT to his coworkers. Time to put the nail polish on and he dolloped about 5 coats on each nail along with about 3 coats of the clear polish. They looked horrible and got polish on my cuticles which he clipped dry. One week after and they are starting to peel. This has never happened to me in the 8 years I've been getting my nails done. I use to get my nails done at regal salon inside Walmart in Freehold I decided to try nail box the service is great and the staff is very friendly but my only problem is they never have time for service every time I call to have my nails fill the answer no appointments I suggest the owner to have more technicians to fill the customers needs. I am so happy I finally found a nail place I can trust! I have been coming here for about a year now as I discovered the place simply driving through Englishtown. It's a quaint little shop next to a Mexican restaurant. There is a parking lot that you can park in. She will take walk-ins or an appointment. Mung is the owner and is seriously so sweet! She does such wonderful work! Every time I go I need to make sure it is with her as she pays very close attention to the way she is doing your nails. She literally makes sure they are perfect and asks you if you like them. The prices are absolutely fantastic and I cannot compare them to any other salon I have been to. I am so happy I am a customer here. They really treat you very well and even remember you by name! So impressed! Just keep in mind if you are coming in as a walk-in they get extremely busy! I absolutely love this place and am so happy I began coming here! All of the staff members are great and friendly, and take their time to make sure I always like the way my nails look. I have been getting acrylics done here for a few months, but today I decided to go in to get them off and get a gel manicure. I was pleasantly surprised my acrylics were filed and soaked off (rather than painfully broken off, which other salons have done to me in the past) and Mung and Kevin actually saved the length of real nails underneath. In honor of Thanksgiving and being grateful for something I decided to post the experience I had yesterday in my new nail place. Of course being grateful for what I am about to post is silly, especially with our latest state of affairs in our universe...however regardless I am grateful! I recently changed my nail salon (after 5 years of loyalty) people who know me well know that if you challenge my integrity... I move on! I had my nails done 2 weeks ago in a small, new place... recommended by my daughters friend. I was pleased to see a calm, CLEAN and genuine atmosphere. So yesterday I decided to make an appointment with the owner since I wanted to give this place another chance...yes my nails were falling apart after 2 weeks. She proceeds to (operate) on my nails lot's of pulling, shaping (no pain though) with a look of "don't you worry I'll get you back"!!! May I also say (unlike me) I DID NOT COMPLAIN, she is the one that was fixated on the surgery. After 1 hour of working on my nails on the night before Thanksgiving (place was a zoo) my nails looked GORGEOUS!!! I was ready to pay and she looks at me and explains IT IS FREE! I looked at her and said are you nuts...absolutely NOT! Nope your nails should have lasted longer so it's my shops fault. And here ladies and gentlemen I post about a wise, professional and kind owner named Mung who owns a small business and wants me back!!! I had a wonder pedicure with April last Friday. I made an appointment that day & they took me on time. April gave me a wonderful foot massage . Great relaxing place to get Pedicure. The staff is attentive and listens to how you want the job done. Have gone several times with my daughters and have not been disappointed. I always call in advance and even if a girl is not available they always have my chair  open for me to sit and soak while the chair starts the massage. Will def be back! Read Less

Today was the 1st time going here, because someone had recommended It to me, and I was very impressed with the outcome !!!!! I've never had my nails or toes look so natural. Nail box is a newer salon and is a must try! The salon is kept clean and the staff is friendly. I've had my gel nails done there twice now, both times were great. There is an ample color selection. The prices are reasonable. I'm looking forward to trying out the pedicures next! Read Less

I stopped in Nail Box today for a Mani/Pedi. I was very fortunate to have the owner Mung perform my Services. They were fantastic....the pedicure was amazing, very relaxing and her attention to detail was spot on! She even told me of a home remedy to use on one of my toes that had an issue!
