I WAITED A HALF HOUR AFTER BEING TOLD IT WOULD ONLY BE A 10 MINUTE WAIT, TO THEN BE IN THE CHAIR FOR ONLY 20 MINUTES WHILE 2 PEOPLE TOOK TURNS DOING MY GEL MANICURE. THEY DID NOT SHAPE MY NAILS OR ASK IF I WANTED THEM FILED OR CUT, THEY DID NOT CUT MY CUTICLES, THEY DID NOTHING THAT COMES WITH A MANICURE, AND THE COLOR I CHOSE WAS ON THE LIGHTER SIDE AND THEY ONLY DID 2 COATS SO NOW YOU CAN STILL SEE MY NAIL THROUGH THE PAINT AND SOME HAVE AIR BUBBLES IN THEM AND OTHER NAILS ARE CROOKED. Not really a fan, they do nails fine but the lady I had was rude. She was getting pissy cuz I changed my nail color a bunch of times but I really didn't. I picked my first color, then she offered me to get the powder manicure so I looked at that book but they didn't have any colors I wanted so I said I would stick w my color. Than I realized that she had brought out a pink color when I choose a purple color. I told her that, and that was when she said this is the last time I could change my color, smh. If only I could rate no stars! I’ve been to this location 3 times and this place has systematic issues. My fist time there I was actually leaving from Sexy Nails a couple of blocks down the road and the customer service was so horrible at that location I left immediately and found my way here to Pink Nail Studio. I selected my colors with the manicurist and she somehow still picked out the wrong color. I’ve already waited an hour to be serviced I told her that wasn’t the color I picked and she kept applying it anyway and my design was poorly done. Since I was unhappy with 2/3 things I wasn’t moving forward with a pedicure. Two days later 3 nails broke. I went back to their location this time with a friend expecting to pay for a repair. Andy remembered me and offered to change my color and repair my nails for free which was awesome. I got a pedicure my second visit. Three days after that the same exact nails that were repaired broke yet again. I was beginning to get furious because I’ve been back repeatedly to this location and I’ve NEVER had this problem with any other salon. On my day off from work, I went back to see if they could repair my nails. I called ahead asking for a wait time I was told 10 minutes. When I arrived I was waiting 45 minutes. Walk In Customers were seen before me. By then a customer was complaining that she’s been waiting for an hour and she had an appointment. I then left and went back everyday for the past 4 days and the wait time has become longer and longer and finally one evening they were closed so I went to another location across the street. Saturday I had the choice of going back to the location I previously visited but of course I wanted to give Pink Nail Studio the benefit of the doubt. AGAIN, I called in advanced. I asked Andy how long was the wait for a refill and a pedicure he said come in we have an open spot. I waited 15 minutes!! After being seated I then waited an HOUR for my pedicure.The man who did my French pedicure did a horrible job the white was completely uneven none identical to the other! I was headed to the desk to pay but Andy seated me shortly after to get my nails done. I found a simply beautiful Valentines Day design on Instagram that I wanted to customize. I showed Andy the picture and drew what design I wanted. Andy took a picture of the design and then asked the man if he was able to do it? The man said he loved the picture and he was okay with doing it. In between doing the design he was messing up several times make everything (like my French pedicure) UNEVEN. I asked him to fix ONE thing and he wiped off the design stopped everything said “I can’t! Someone else will do it. Maybe I have to go back to New York and learn more.” Collectively I spent 3 HOURS in this nail salon and all the services I asked for were significantly horrible! I SHOULD HAVE BEEN FRUSTRATED! Even after I was in tears and infuriated about my overall experiences, having my pedicure messed up, and more importantly being in that location for 3 HOURS! Andy still made me pay full price for a design I NEVER GOT! He even blamed me for changing my mind about not getting the design! Don't ever come here.Tried this place on Sunday with my kid sister because most of the reviews were good. What a huge mistake. It was rushed, ridiculously sloppy, and the man doing my manicure cut me very deeply under one nail. I asked for a regular manicure, and he used gel polish instead; he didn't realize he used the wrong polish until the end and then didn't want to redo it. Got charged for it anyway and I wanted to get out of there so badly, I didn't feel like arguing. Had to force him to cut my little sister's nails, he just wanted to run the file over them quickly. I didn't realize until afterward but he didn't take off the remainder of her old nail polish, just painted over it. Honest Review! I tried so hard to like this place based on reviews I read and nail pics I seen. I usually go to Sonnys in Belleville but being that my nail lady was sick, I gave this place a shot. So on April 29 Naomi did my nails full set (figured I would start fresh). Well she did them so thin but figured they would be strong. I was wrong! Two days later one nail broke and then the following day off came another. So i went in today which is May 4th, not even a week after last appt.  Andy did my nails this time so I figured maybe I better experience. Everything started off good. He was saying how my nails weren't even and he would fix em all. So he puts the glue on each nail and then says to let it dry while he used the rest room. Not sure what happened in that rest room but he sat down and was nodding out while doing my nails. He was drilling and nodding out!!! He then gets up and walks away to go outside. I asked the other nail tech if he was ok because he is nodding out. She says he must have not slept. I know what a person who's tired looks like an a person who is nodding out! Well he comes back and she said something to him which I assume she told him what I said. He then starts doing the gel paint and started off ok and then again nodding. My nails looked lumpy and uneven but I just wanted to leave before I came out of character. He then puts lotion on my hands without even cleaning off the dust so my gel polish had dust and now he is smearing the dust Around with lotion! I hate my nails! I really like this place, I've been coming here for months now, and with the welcoming atmosphere,smiling staff and they even offered me something to drink. This was the first nail salon that I've been to that did that. I go to this place frequently it doesn't matter who does my nails. On this occasion I had an appointment and there were two people ahead of me a little girl and her dad another lady and me and friend. The had taken three fair skin people before us even though he had been sitting there. I wanted to give my appointment to the little girl and Andy got upset and refused which ticked me off because I know you know how to paint nails. So the father became upset as we all became aware of the situation. We were sitting at the back of the bus at a nails salon. We all left we gave them what they wanted. Honest review here:I called this morning around 9:45am and made an appointment for 11am. It has a very welcoming and positive environment. I only waited for about 5 minutes, which was great compared to other nail salons! I went in for ACRYLIC fill-in which they told me was $15 on the phone. I forgot to ask her name, but the woman who did my nails, did them precisely and carefully, taking her time. I was pleased by her service. However, towards the end of the session when she was painting my nails, she painted them with GEL colors! I didn't want to say anything, because I wasn't going to complain over the color I personally chose. (I didn't know it was gel). When it came time to pay, she told me $25. I told her "no, someone on the phone told me $15 for fill in." And she replied: "Yes fill in Gel is $25." Then I said that I didn't ask for Gel, I asked for Acrylic. So whatever, I still paid. I was giving her a $20 and to just add the $5 on card. She said okay that's fine. But she had already processed the $25 dollars! I was so upset. How could she charge my account BEFORE asking how I was to pay? Very unprofessional. I'm not going back if this is how unorganized they are. I came in looking to fix a botch job that another nail lady did. Mind you, it was only after three days my fill in was falling apart and I was beyond upset especially when I paid 48 dollars for it. Luckily, Kat was able to fix it as if the incident had never happened. They have a huge selection of colors and very reasonably priced. On top of that they have a lovely atmosphere. I live in the area and have never given this place a chance because of how it looks on the outside...don't judge a book by its cover! Inside, the place is clean with funky/cute decorations. There's even a phone charging station! I went in for a fill-in and I absolutely love how they came out! (Acrylic not-gel fill in: $25) the employees were very nice and professional. I love this salon, I have been with Andy for over 10 years. (I follow him to whereever salon he works).I was happy to know that he opened his own salon . He is efficient, professional and we'll mannered. I never had a problem with his works, the rest of the staff is always courteous too. The wait is not long and they don't rush to complete your manicure or pedicure. Nail design are up to date .you feel as if you are in a spa in the salon. It's very clean. I love it here. I never have a problem with my nails and they make sure you like them. The business is very clean and the employees are very friendly. It feels like a spa when I'm there especially since they offer you a beverage. This is one of the best nail salons I've been to in my area.
