Today was my first experience at Beyond Salon and Nails, and it was glorious! I went in, with no appointment and tried their Spa Pedicure. I waited about 5 minutes, and the receptionist started my water while I chose a color. They had a huge assortment to choose from! The place is huge! The layout is fun and modern, allowing for a lot of people to be serviced and there were a lot of staff for a Wednesday afternoon! I had Fanny, and she was fabulous! I have tried this place 3 times now and I am pleased. With an appointment or as a walk-in I was taken care of promptly. Great polish color selection. For pedicures they offer some extra services for a small add-on for callus removal, extra massage, etc. Manicures are done at the nail bar. I get gel polish (not gel nails). They apply plenty of coats and will do more if you wish. Very accomodating. The atmosphere is comfortable. There are TV's. There is also and ATM on site if you forget cash for tips. I went here for the first time for a gel “manicure” and it will be my last. Worst experience I’ve ever had. I had to write this review after my wedding happened. I had never felt as uncomfortable as in this room. Last Saturday I went to this salon to do my gel nails (manicure) and pedicure. The girl who looked after me did not do much with her. They have a watch to be a minimum of time cleaning your nails and masajeandote. She barely cleaned my nails and spent most of the time massaging my feet that reached the point that hurt me, (I do not clean my nails well). She also started making me a manicure, I have to say it was the worst experience I could have. The girl was looking forward to finishing soon. And everything was fast. I told the local manager that it was my wedding the next day that I wanted what I had in a photo and if they knew how to do it, she very convinced me she said yes. The girl who was taking care of me had never done it and was practicing with me !! I leave the nails of a hand very badly done that I decided to tell the manager, who told me they would change it. This time I was attended by another girl, who seemed very bad-tempered, and I asked her to do the same to me with the hand I had "liked". She invented something else that I had not asked for, and she almost told me screaming and angry that I would respond already if I liked it because I had a client waiting. I had not asked for that, I had asked them to put what I had in my hand that I had liked. I felt a little uncomfortable and I said yes. Then I change the two hands. Terrible!!! I went three times each time gel manicure and pedicure run you about $80 (without tips) now is it a BEAUTIFUL PLACE YES..... BUT!!!!! Every single time I have gotten my nails done there they chip with in 2 weeks oh and guess what you're shit out of luck cause they only guarantee their polish for ten days!!!! lol I will go back to my place where I pay a normal $50 for manicure and pedicure and they NEVER CHIP!!!!!! The unfortunate part of my review is that this is not a low rating because of my experience but because of the customer service I received with my four year old. I had a great mani/ pedi with Maggie. However I also had my 4 year old daughter with me and asked for a mani /pedi for her. I brought my own polish for her and asked for them not to cut or do her cuticles. They splashed her feet in the tub (because she barely reached it), put some lotion on her legs and painted her finger nails in the pedicure chair. Their menu online lists a "spa" mani/pedi for kids for $25 and a "just polish" option for $14. They insisted I pay for a spa mani/pedi because they splashed her feet in the tub and put some lotion on. This was perhaps one of the poorest customer service experiences and extremely poor judgement on part of the woman who I was speaking to (perhaps a supervisor?). There is no way the ten minute mani/pedi my four year old received should have been $25 when I asked for nothing else and shame on their management for  poor customer service. I am so disappointed in my first experience here! I can see that they do some good work, but I got the girl that didn't care. I was so excited to get a pedicure for the first time this summer.  I'm on my feet all day for work and have been working so much these past few months. I went with 2 other people and watched what they were having done compared to mine. She was so much more concerned with talking to the other girls and just skated by on my feet. I didn't get a foot massage, she just rubbed the same spot on my leg for 5 mins. She didn't scrape my heels, and she managed to finish me 4 mins before the people I came with even though she started 5 mins later than they did. I was looking for a quick place to get a manicure and this place fit the bill! I loved the concept of the nail bar and the salon gave a very upscale feel. My appointment was very quick (which I loved! Let me continue on with my errands for the day) and my nails were FABULOUS I could not stop looking at them afterwards.The reason for only 3 stars is that after 4-5 days the entire manicure was chipped and looked terrible. I get frequent manicures and I've never had this problem. I did nothing out of the ordinary that caused the chipping, but I definitely don't want to go back to have a similar issue in less than a week. Great experience but terrible long term quality! I was looking for a clean, professional nail salon for a pedicure, and Beyond salon is just that. After reading many reviews of various nail salons in this area, Beyond seemed to be the best option for what I was looking for. Beyond Salon and nails is a full service salon, you can get your nails done, hair, a facial, waxing etc. My appointment was for 5:30 on a Friday, and it was PACKED. The interior is beautiful, much more upscale than your average nail salon. Their polish choices was about 3 displays large, I love a large selection. The fish tank was beautiful and relaxing to watch while you wait. The center of the nail salon portion was a circular nail bar, something I had never seen before. This caters to a gel manicure, that has drying lamps/fans below for your feet. GENIUS. My pedicure was with Ella. The pedicure chairs were lush and the water basins were lined with plastic, just as the reviews stated! That is so major for a salon, a lot of the times I often wondered just how clean these foot baths were after usage. The tools were open from a fresh package, also major, as I know a few people who have developed fungus from other various nail salons. A+ for cleanliness.The leg massage, scrub, etc were really average, maybe slightly less. I even told her she could beat my legs up and it felt as if she was just gently touching me. I was pleasantly surprised when she brought out the hot stones, even though that was like a 10 second portion of the leg massage. Overall the pedicure came out really well, super straight toenails (pet peeve of mine when they're crooked). She brought me to dry and gave me about a 30 second neck and shoulder massage. That was a nice touch. Overall, for $27 the pedicure was worth it in terms of cleanliness and the overall final outcome. The only thing that is holding back from the 4/5 stars is the lackluster leg massage, even after specifying she could use more pressure. That's the best part of the pedicure, in my opinion. So hopefully next time she uses more force. Also, I had an extremely rude woman two chairs over from me on her phone my entire time. It's such a relaxing environment, and to have that ruined by someone who completely disregards others personal time is disappointing. My advice to salon owners is to enforce a strict no phone call policy during treatments. That being said it is super hard to find a salon as clean as this, so for that alone I'll compromise the subpar leg massage and probably make this my standard spot for pedicures. Read Less

I am a regular customer here and I hate to have to leave this review. I was very upset after spending (3) yes I said it, (3) hours getting a mani/pedi. The girl who did it was very sweet but it came out awful. It was ridge and none of my nails were the same color - on my fingers or toes. So horrible that I had to say something and I'm not one to complain unless it's really bad. The entire thing had to be redone. They just used the color that the girl next to me was finished g...etting done - a shade of purple which is not even close to the color I picked. It did turn out great once it was redone but, It's very rare that I get free time as a new mom so the fact that I had to spend three hours here was incredibly disappointing. I never once received an apology or was offered anything for the inconvenience. Not even a bottle of water while I was waiting to have it redone. I was charged the full price of 80.00 and I am not sure if I'll be returning which is a huge bummer because I always enjoyed coming here. Sorry beyond - but this mama doesn't have that kind of time to spare. Thanks for fixing the poor job but you guys wasted my time which is so precious without any offer for the inconvenience. Clean!!! Everything came from sterile packages, and they use disposable liners for the foot tubs. Nails looked beautiful at the end. Very happy with the service. One suggestion I have for them: try to keep groups together. I had a group of seven people for my bridal party, including a 4 and 6 year old flower girls. We all came at the same time, and had an appointment. We had to wait a little while for seats to open up, but the seats were not together. The six year old sat across the salon from her mom or even anyone in our party! The four year old had to sit in her moms lap until a seat opened up next to her a little while later. I would have given here 5 stars but on a busy day, she rushed my spa pedicure quicker than usual. They have the plastic inserts that go in the tub when getting a pedicure and their instrument come from a sealed bag so I know my feet and hands are safe from infection.  I always leave with a great mani/pedi. I have been going to Beyond since they opened and I can say that the bad reviews that you have read are all true. Their customer service is horrible and their techs are always coming and going with no consistency. My nails had chipped 3 days after getting them done 2 months ago and after having to make an appointment and waste another hour of my day they agreed to repaint them. I just went in on the 29th and by the 4th they were ALL chipping again, plus the polish turned a weird color as it was originally a mint green and it looked like a mood polish with how different it was after a few days. When I pay $40 for a fill I expect it to last at the LEAST 3 weeks, they tell you it should be every 2 but that is complete B.S. Before I started going to Beyond I went to NailStar and will be going back, they are much more courteous and professional and truly care about how your nails look when you leave. so disappointed in this salon. i came two weeks ago, got gel tips in which they were not filed right and they looked huge, let it go as it is not the end of the world and just went in yesterday to get them filled, they came out alright but i was charged $40 and the website says gel fill is $30. i didn't get anything special or french, just regular gel polish. very disappointed in their business, every single person in that salon is very cold and not welcoming and the entire time i'm there i feel as if they just want your money and to get out asap. definitely will not be going back after this. Frequent customer, every three weeks, for a gel fill. My two daughters go here as well. We usually see one of two girls because we have always been happy with them. Unfortunately, yesterday afternoon we had a less than positive experience. I specifically booked my daughter's appointment with Lily, yet Lily took someone else. When I asked about it they switched the client out and put my daughter there. That is who we specifically booked with so I'm not sure why she took another client. As the appointment went on my daughter requested glitter in an ombré style starting at the BOTTOM of her nail. I'm fact Lily was the one who originally suggested this technique to my older daughter months ago and that's how we knew about it. Lily began putting the glitter on the tip of her nail and when my daughter asked her to put it on the bottom she ignored her. I asked her she also ignored me. My daughter mentioned it one last time at which point Lily snapped back "I know what I'm doing!" And continues putting glitter on the tips of her nails. Clearly she did not know what she was doing. The final blow came when I went to pay and was upcharged for the shape of my daughters nails...it would've been to be informed of the price difference beforehand!!! And also they charged me an additional fee for the glitter on the tips claiming it was a French manicure. Really? My daughter repeatedly asked for it to be done on the bottom so after doing what she was asked not to you now have the nerve to charge extra? My older daughter who has gone faithfully every 2 weeks for over a year has never ever been charged extra for any type of glitter gel polish so why was my younger daughter? I've been here for blowouts on countless occasions. The salon has gorgeous modern decor and is very clean. The hair washing chairs are comfortable and updated so they don't hurt your neck. Both Jim and Ken give a great blow out with a round brush for $35. Can't beat it!! Read Less

Ever since I moved back from Mahwah I have been going here. They have awesome deals for instance; Early Bird Special: M-F before 4PM - $27 gels. Nothing beats that price! Every two weeks I see Liz, and I come in with a color in mind and she finds the perfect match. I am never disappointed and I look forward to my nail appointments. They also have a cash card, for every time you pay cash, you get a stamp. When you collect 10 stamps you get a free pedicure! Do not go here ...... When I first started going here about a year ago i loved it. The service was great as were the manicures. However as time went on service became increasingly worse and worse. My manicures never lasted more than a few days without chipping (gel manicures!!!). The constant changing staff made it difficult to really find someone you like to do your nails every time. I have searched many places for a nail salon I can trust. I moved from NYC a year ago and this is the only place that has been consistant, friendly, accomodating and do really great work. Trust me I have visited many places until finding this one. I Have had several people work on me (gel fills, pedicures) and Ive never had a complaint. I am going today to have a blow out and bringing my daughter for a cut. We are Spanish and have thick curly hair so I am concerned as ive yet to find a stylist that can handle my hair well unless I travel up north. I came here with my two soon to be step daughter's the day before my wedding. I had very little experience at the time with manis and pedis but since have had a couple more and this place turns out is hands down the best place! 0 fumes or smell of polish, professional products and equipment, well organized and will try any picture you ask them to as far as nail design. Like other posters, my complaint fell on deaf ears after being burned by hot water that made me jump out of the chair. The front desk person is nice, but the staff is downright miserable, unfriendly and doesn't understand understand English well enough. I never even got an apology after being burned. She was so rough I flinched a few times when she was pushing back my cuticles. As you can see on my one day old photo, the nail shape is nice but I still need my cuticles cut. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!  They are absolutely terrible. I had my nails done on Wednesday March 9th & 6 days later my right pointer finger was coming off at the nail bed. Saturday March 19th my middle finger was coming off at the nail bed as well, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!!  I returned & they redid the nails at no cost but now my right middle finger is completely askew & doesn't look normal at all & the woman Kiki that did my nails busted open my ring finger & my middle finger on my left hand, NOT 1 FINGER BUT 2. Was looking for a nail salon open on a Sunday and google found this one for me.  I  called for an appointment and an hour later I entered a really nice, big clean looking salon picked my color and sat in bar stool style chair at a round bar.    I got a basic manicure.  I was happy that I was asked if I wanted my cuticles cut (other places I have to tell them no when they start to do it.)  My manicurist  took clean tools out for out of a sealed packet.    The whole manicure was fast and after each step your nails dry in uv light built into the bar. It was a fast manicure and you never leave your seat, you keep your nails in the uv light until you manicurist tells you when your done.  It's great, I don't have to make the decision for myself.  I always want to leave before my nails are dry (those little cheap fans at other salons just don't cut it.)  I got a massage too.  The basic manicure is $15.  That is $5 more than other local salons but I'll pay an extra $5 for Beyond Salon and Nails manicure because it  is clean, modern, has a large staff and open on Sundays. Such a rude staff! Second time I went, and the technicians are just so rude and rough. If you ask them something specific to do, they will give you an attitude and tell you they just are not doing it. I have never been spoken to as degrading and treated with such terrible customer service as when I have been here. Not to mention, my nails look absolutely awful! They cut my nails and then asked if they were too short, which they were. They were completely uneven. Today was my first visit and Kiki did my nails. I have acrylics and I was there for fills, nothing fancy, regular polish. After telling her what I wanted and what my concerns were, Kiki not only did a most professional job, she did exactly what I asked. Taking into account that English is her second language, I think that's pretty special. The salon is spacious, immaculate, and lovely. I went for a nice relaxing pedicure at the end of a long day, only to receive everything but.It  began with the water temperature was close to scalding, the attendant was rough, filed my skin as opposed to my nail and in the middle of a nice chair massage, she turns it off abruptly saying it was interfering with her working.The environment is upscale but the lack of skill by the pedicurist was quite apparent. So much so, that it was noticed by the person sitting alongside me as well.Lastly, as I paid my bill I politely conveyed to the manager my dissatisfaction and unfortunately it fell on deaf ears.
