They get mad right infront of you and stop giving you a massage if you don’t give them a good tip .... and to be honest out of the 20 people working there 17 of them do not have a license and 12 of them are kids. I've been getting regular mani/pedis for almost 10 years in NJ and have found myself to be quite picky when it comes to nail salons. Top Style never disappoints!!!! At times, due to work or vacations, I've visited other salons but almost always regret not having made time to visit Top Style. The staff is very accommodating & they do consistently great work. I regularly get LCN, pedicures & chair massages and they are fantastic! Sometimes there is a bit of a language barrier but everyone is friendly & tries to communicate effectively. I've been there many times for both manicures and pedicures. The place is large and clean. I usually get powder gel manicures and they are done well and last for up to 3 weeks. The prices are a little high but not unreasonable for the extras.. The technicians vary. Great spot have been coming here for almost a year.My gf and i go here at least 1-2 a month i just get a simple pedi and she gets the works ;) when you get a pedi you get a great foot and calf massage at the same time which is awesome and the biggest reason i come since i play hockey and that helps get the feet. This is a very nice nail salon. They do a nice mani & gel pedi. They take good care of your nails with lots of lotion and oil and they make sure the results look good. They give you a card with your color on it and they’ll guaranteed fix any chips that happen within two weeks if you bring that card back. I got French tips, but with a silver stripe in between the white and the nude and they made it look awesome. They always have the home improvement channel on, which is fun and relaxing to watch. Last time I come here. Got the OPI Infinite Shine nail polish which they charge extra for. You pay extra for the polish, basecoat and topcoat. Argued with the girl when she went to put on my polish with no basecoat then wanted to use some Essie topcoat. I work in a salon so I know that Infinite Shine has their own base and top coat. She told me they don't. Lying right to my face. They probably don't want to spend the money on the product. So you basically are paying for a half-assed job. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they do things right and don't cut corners. Who knows what else they are doing that the general public wouldn't pick up on. Read Less

I went yesterday for a mani and the area is very clean, and luxurious however their staff is poorly trained for giving proper customer service. I received an extremely poor manicure. If you go while they're busy expect a very rushed, half done job because their only focus is seating and attending the next client. When you tell them you don't like how your nails come out, they "fix" it but really just cover up the mess instead of taking the time to actually fix it. I came here a few days ago to try the dip powder manicure. My friend had an appointment and I didn't but they took us at the same time so that's a plus.In the beginning, I was indecisive about the color and was approached a couple of times by my manicurist, Angela, to decide on a color. I felt a little rushed. My manicure actually took less time than my friends'. I thought this was a good thing but looking back, I felt as if she didn't do as good of a job on my nails as she could have. Since I was a walk-in, she was probably hurrying to fit me in before her next appointment or something.She made a few mistakes during the manicure. For example, the nails on both hands were uneven and bumpy. She put on too much polish so more powder adhered to the nail than it should have. While that's usually easily fixed by filing down the nail to make it smooth, she only filed down one hand. So, the nails on one hand aren't as smooth as the nails on the other. Also, she did not ask my preference for nail shape or size. She was very rough with my hands and my cuticles actually bled and stung when she applied the polish to it.I also feel as if the dip powder manicure itself was just too chunky. I'm not sure if this is because of her or if its just how dip powder is. This is my first time doing the dip manicure but my friend has gotten dip manicures at this salon before and her manicure seemed more precise and the dip powder was not as think as mine is.Despite all of this, I am willing to give them another try because honestly, my nails don't look bad at all, they're just not exactly what I wanted. First time at the salon and I had Leo for a gel manicure. It was a very pleasant experience as I find it very hard to find quality nail places in New Jersey. My nails came out looking great and he put on a neat, thick coat of paint. I usually get OCD with my nails afterwards and I am surprised at myself for being so pleased with them...The UV drying lights are built into the manicure tables which I find convenient and the lights stay on and are not in a timer. I find that annoying when they turn off and the manicurist has to constantly turn them back on. The salon is a big place with plenty off staff. HGTV on television sets doesn't hurt either. I got offered a free massage that I politely declined and my manicurist also asked if I wanted one too. I declined again but the thought was nice. The place may be pricy but it's worth it. As soon as I got into the building with my friend, we got greeted kindly and were taken right away. The lady who did my nails did a fabulous job. Sadly I forgot her name and I WISH I can remember it but I spoke with the owner about her so that's good enough! All employees around are so kind and always smiling. The ladies tell me a specific price for my nails and when I start getting them done they tell me a different price based on gel and powder. I wasn't happy with the color at first and she said it's nice , when she was done with coloring my nails I was really unhappy with the color and she said well it will be 25.00 to change the color. I ask for a pedicure and she looked at me weird about it. Above all, when writing a tip, she demanded more from me for a tip. A tip is whatever you want to give them based on their service, I wasn't happy and I don't think I should have given her double the tip. It's based on whatever the customer decides, not what the stylist thinks she should have. I was recommended by my coworker but I definitely will not be coming back. I have to go to another nail salon to change the color to what I want, which will be more money. I just feel as though your paying for the service, and if the customer does not like the color at first, then allow them to change it. Very very unhappy with the service. Came here one day before my Colorado trip just to get my nails looking decent before I travel.    I previously had some nail polish on my nails when coming to get them done here.     The girl removes most of it with nail polish remover and that's fine but then she used that metal spinner thing that you use for those fake tips to shape them and it totally damaged my nails and left my nails dented and scraped.   I'm upset,  it's been a month now and they still look like this.   You don't use that crap on real nails,  that machine is not used to take off nail polish.   I just don't wanna come here ever again.   She was just in a rush because there were so many people coming in and they're trying to get through to everyone but don't do that. I had high hopes for this place being that it was new and I like the location but I did not have a good experience here. When I walked in, I felt like I was being harassed to choose a color after I told them I was getting a manicure. I was clearly browsing for a color and was approached multiple times about picking a color. Dang, can I live? I'm planning to have this color on my nails for a good week. I want to make sure I like it.Then, when I was getting my manicure, my manicurist was not paying attention to what I said I wanted. She shaped my nails the way she wanted at the length she wanted them. I will not be returning. Great service, brand new space and equipment.  They sanitize EVERY SINGLE item that contacts your nails.  Even the nail polish brush pre and post use with rubbing alcohol. Came here for the first time a couple days ago for a gel manicure since my regular nail girl wasn't able to fit me in. They were very accommodating and Joyce gave me a beautiful gel mani and recommended a gorgeous color that I've been getting nonstop compliments on. Made pedicure appointments for my mother and I to get Mother's Day pedis. They were very sweet we both enjoyed our spa pedicures and they gave us each a bottle of lotion as a Mother's Day gift. This was my daily nail salon for the past year and a half. I never had a bad experience until today. I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure. I told Joann, the girl who did my pedicure that I just wanted a regular pedicure after she asked me 3 times if I wanted a more expensive pedicure. Each time I said no just a regular pedicure. She immediately began to rush through my pedicure at the point that it was ridiculous. She then did my gel manicure that she rushed through also. It came out so bad-- splotchy and had a weird blue tint even though I got a hot pink color. I had it redone and it was awful. My pedicure got smudged in the process and she barely fixed it. First I need to give a little PSA: the only reason this place might have a few positive reviews is because the salon incentivized them with the offer of a free bottle of lotion. The manicurists did a horrible job on not only me, but my mom and 2 sisters' nails. 3/4 of us were nicked to bleeding when they were doing our cuticles. The colors on the nail swatches are obviously very old and faded, because all of our nails came out a different color than was on the swatch nail. I came here the day before thanksgiving and it was very busy. I thought I would have to wait a long but they have a high turnover since they have so many employees working. Evan worked on my nails and he did a great job. I got a gel manicure with OPI polish. The salon was clean and although busy it did not feel crowded. Gel manicure is $30 but they charged me an extra $10 as if it were a French fee. I think this is standard for anything other than a straight forward coat. I would go again. Read Less

This nail salon is right across from my gym so I can get two things done in one trip which is GREAT!  They have a big selection of gel and regular colors so you will never be faced with them not having the color you want.  I usually get a gel manicure and I have had them get those grey cracks a few times but usually after I've been at the beach or scuba diving which kills any manicure.  I have found the service to be uneven in that some of the girls are really good (give a massage, pay attention to detail, etc.) while others are mediocre.  My secret: request Anna.  Her manicures are the best!  She always takes a really long time to make sure my nails look good and I never have to ask her for extra coats, etc. she just knows!Yes, the 20% off isn't actually off the bill BUT you can use it as a credit towards your next visit so it's kind of like a rewards program which, in my opinion, is even better! I was exhausted and just finished getting a wax next door at EWC so I figured why not? I got a gel mani and regular pedicure totaling $65.Who I assumed was the owner was a bit rude, and the male that gave me my gel manicure and regular pedicure was a bit awkward. He didn't clean my cuticles thoroughly and my nails weren't as squared as I usually get them. I would say my favorite part of this experience was the cleanliness that they have. I am a regular there and so was my daughter, well not anymore. Always get a gel manicure and pedicure. They get packed so they rush thru the service and end up doing a horrible job. When I mean horrible to point you are getting cut. Also not putting the gel on right and start to peel off the next day. Also gel manicures are more expensive because of the extra steps, well, they started to charge an extra $5, to remove the gel. I have read that should be included. Another time they charge me $15 for a design on TWO NAILS. Put it this way every time I went I was always paying more and more. When I ask where on there board does it states that I am told "I AM TELLING YOU NOW". Honestly you go in a number of times and you will probably always here customer complain about how there prices are never the same. My last experience was the last straw as I paid a higher price for the same service I had two weeks ago. It was a $12 dollar difference. Very mediocre. They are fine for regular single color nail polish but they can’t do gel manicures or nail art. I’ve tried to get gel nail art there twice both times it was done sloppily and they up-charged me for every tiny thing. The first time I got rhinestone bows which they charged m $5 each for bow, even though I know for a fact they charged someone else $5 extra total, I didn’t argue over such a small amount. But it began to chip and peel the very next day. When I returned to get it repaired they had an attitude about it. They fixed it but it peeled again soon after. The person who did my nails today stabbed m under my nail and cut into my finger with the cuticle cutter. I showed them a picture of a very simple nail design which she executed poorly and sloppily.
