I'll start off by saying, I'm a Dominican salon type of girl and so, I'm very skeptical about what type of salon I feel will know how to work on my hair properly. Being new to the area, I turned to Yelp when my brows got to the point of desperate need! Found this place which had great reviews and is only 5 mins away from my house. It's in a weird location, sort of behind a "house" type of building and down stairs.. I actually passed it the first time because I didn't even see a sign. I walked in to From Head to Toe on a Friday morning, hoping to get my brows done quickly since they had just opened. Turned out Kim was already with a customer so I left. I also happened to be in desperate need of a haircut, so I asked if anyone was available, and surprisingly, everyone was already booked until later in the evening. I was planning to find somewhere else to go, but the warm welcome and short conversation with the receptionist made me call back later and book an appt for brows and a haircut.When I came back that evening, the salon was a lot busier. Numerous staff members greeted me and introduced themselves as I waited for my brow appt with Kim, and made me feel very welcome. Kim was super nice and my eyebrows were waxed before I even realized it. She then walked me back to get my hair washed. I didn't get the name of the girl who washed my hair, but she was super sweet and gave me a nice little scalp massage before finishing up.My haircut appt was made with Phyllis, who had introduced herself beforehand. I was a little scared that no one at this salon would be able to "handle" my curly hair because I'm used to the pulling and burning at the Dominican salons lol. She proved me wrong, thank God! She did a great job with the cut and blowout and then curled it a little so it wouldn't be too straight. I rarely leave satisfied with my haircut, but this time was an exception. I got lots of compliments on it at the salon. After washing my hair, I am still pleased with my cut even when wearing my hair curly.Long story short, this place is very welcoming and professional (again, not what I'm used to).. thank you Noreen, Kim, Phyllis and all of the other ladies who made it a great first visit. This is an oasis of peace and friendliness during hectic times. Kim is a wizard at nails. She has rescued my broken ugly nails and turned them into focal points. Called a ton of places for a last minute blow out not knowing where to turn since I just moved to the area. No one was willing to take me in the same day except for this place. They were super accommodating over the phone and when I got there everyone was friendly and sweet. I never go to anyone other than my normal stylist simply because I never leave happy but Dana from head to toe gave me a great blow out ! I am so happy to have found this place and her ! This salon is amazing. Called only 15 minutes prior and got an appointment with Cathy who is wonderful. Everyone is so nice and helpful and Cathy did a wonderful job cutting and curling my hair she even showed me some tricks for at home. So glad I picked this place last minute to go to. I really like this place. It has become the salon of the entire family. My wife gets color and hiarcuts, I get hair cuts and an occasional color touchup, and my two sons both get their haircut here. My wife also claims that her facials with Monica are great and I have had massage from both Pam and JaneAnn, both are wonderful. The place is always clean, the people are pleasant and the prices are more than fair for such a nice place. The coffee and danaish are also a nice touch. Read Less
