Made an appointment... called to make sure it was booked and confirmed. Waited for 30 mins until finally being seen. Then I was seen with a different nail artist than the one I had booked the appointment with weeks ago. He did a good job on pedicure, felt rushed with nails. When I went to pay... what a joke!! They charged 20 dollars for just painting kids nails. A seven year olds nails!!!! I am in complete shock... I had to call salons all around and they all said 5 dollars for nails so at most it should have been 12 if nails and toes!!! I moved to Normandy Beach full time about a year ago. I had been going to the same nail salon for many years and loved the tech that took care of me for years. I tried many different salons in the area but I could not find one that was as good as my previous tech. I got tired of traveling 45 / 50 minutes for a nail appointment. I decided to try DD nails. I can not be happier! I see Ty every 2 weeks and he does a wonderful job. I have also had many gel pedicures which are also fantastic. This nail salon is super clean and the staff are always welcoming. I have never had to wait long at all for any service. Amy does my nails and does a wonderful job! Me and my girlfriends went in 11/8And they cut all 3 of our cuticles to the pony that they bled, and they try to upsale you so much so, it's a turn off. This place needs some serious customer satisfaction training!  Don't go!!! Read Less

Not happy... I moved to the area and I'm still trying to find a nail salon that I love. I saw a lot of negative reviews but decided to give them a shot before judging so I called up to make an appointment and asked how much a gel manicure was. The man told me "regular price". When I asked what regular price was, he said "we don't give prices over the phone" so I said "we'll then I guess I won't find out because you won't be getting my business". I try to stay away from places that charge more than 25 for a gel manicure or and it could've been under 25 but I'll never know and they just lost a costumer. Read Less

Inside is very clean and open, never has a bad smell. Last time I️ was there I️ got a pedicure and it seemed as if the tech was giving a half ass effort. I️ am a kickboxing instructor, and since we workout barefoot, my feet need all the help they can get. He filed down my one toe to the point of bleeding, and poked jokes at the big bruise I have under my toe nail from an injury. Needless to say, my feet looked about the same as they did before I went there, didn’t even file down the dead skin on my heel, nor cut the cuticles on my nails. Will not be returing , I asked for a design and I got told no I don't like Halloween and it's only been a week and my nails that usually last me 3 weeks now have to be redone . My technician was more concerned with watching the football game then doing my nails . Overall very disappointing and I will be driving the 30 mins to go find another salon . Business needs work .... my family and i live down the shore year long and we were driving almost 30 minutes to go to a nail salon. when this one opened by our house, we went to try it out. we liked it. it was very clean and the people were very nice. but, the more and more we went there, the more rushed it became. me and my sister went before school started and when we told the people working on us what we wanted, they seemed upset and they rushed the service. they charged me and my sister 127 dollars, and usually it just costs us around 80-100 dollars. the cost is never steady at this place. if u want a good nail job for less, TRY SOMEWHERE ELSE! I do not usually write reviews but my experience today at "DD Nails and Spa" was so appalling that I created a Yelp account in order to ward others off in advance. The pedicure itself was incredibly abrasive, the water was cold, and the entire process overall felt rushed. But the worst part by far was the behavior of the young man giving me a pedicure. He began flirting with me by asking me if I did crack and it eventually escalated into full blown marriage proposals. The other customers seemed incredibly uncomfortable. Plus, I asked to have my gel removed (with no more put on). Not only was I charged the full price of the gel manicure, but chunks of gel still remain on every single one of my finger nails. Normally I would complain but I was so uncomfortable in the situation that I would have rather left than spend one more minute being harassed. The one pro, I will say, was the modern massage chairs. Was recommended by a friend. Very impressed. Clean and professional. Beautiful decor and ultra modern. Large staff. All the nail techs wear nice collared shirts with the salon name and present a neat appearance. On the day I went the electric was out in the strip mall and they were operating on half power. It was a bit warm as we had a heat wave. I was starting to sweat a little and Kyle my nail tech noticed and he immediately offered me a nice cold bottled water. Kyle did my nails and I recommend him highly. He has very good customer relations. He made me laugh and I enjoyed the conversation tremendously!! The power did come back on but it did not matter. Do not recommend for gel manicure. My nails have been seriously damaged as a result of a new or incompetent worker. Of course I had no way of knowing that until the process started. The whole experience was quite frankly,appalling.  There is a possibility of a decent regular manicure. I saw a customer receive one.   The nail salon is clean and beautifully decorated. I had the worst experience at this nail salon.My wife made an appointment for her self to have a spa pedicure and I was going to have a manicure. My wife and I were early for our appointment by 5 minutes. My wife was taken 10 minutes past the appointment time. I sat for 45 minutes past my appointment.  I got up to stretch my legs and a gentleman chases me outside and said you want manicure now, I politely declined. Here is the part that really pissed me off. The gentleman who chased me outside,  sitting within 5 feet of me and during  45 minutes did about 4 other people's nails and not once said anything to me about being behind etc, but the minute I appear that I might be leaving he chases me down. As far as my wife's spa pedicure, as soon as she sat down she was told I don't have time for a spa pedicure. She told him she had made an appointment for a spa pedicure and some sort of exchange in Korean between the owner and the man happened. There was nothing placed in the water as is usual with a spa pedicure. There was no massage, only hot stones which burned her at one point, and a VERY rough abrasive pad which scrapped the skin on her toe raw!!! This all took approximately 35 minutes!!!! 35 minutes for a SPA PEDICURE!!! And $50!!!! Needless to say we will never ever go back!!!! Horrible!!!!!! Read Less

If I could do negative stars I would. The workers are untrained and do a shit job. I left the place with my nails basically bleeding after being ripped apart for half an hour by an untrained idiot with a nail file. They didn't even have the gel color I chose yet they continued to go about painting my nails with the completely wrong color without informing me. I went for the first time on 7/3. It was suppose to open at 9:30 and we got there around 9:35-9:40 not a soul was inside. Someone was waiting in her car for her 9:30 appointment she had just made the day before. We were about to leave and head to a different salon when someone opened the door. They took all 3 of us in and got started. My 2 aunts got pedicure and I got a gel fill. My tech mumbled about being stuck in traffic. 15 minutes in someone comes in asking for an eyebro...w wax and my tech leaves in the middle of my service for 15 minutes to go do his eyebrows. He comes backs and fishes by smearing some exfoliant on my hands and telling me to go wash them. No lotion or hand & arm massage. As someone who is in the industry, I was highly disappointed in the service I received, especially because I was charged 35$ for the fill plus 5$ for a nail repair. For these reasons I will probably not return next time I'm down the shore. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but this has been bugging me and I want others to know what to expect. Today I did not have a pleasant experience at this salon - one I've been to many times before - I made 3 appointments for myself my daughter and my mother for us each to get pedicures for my daughter to get a manicure in for myself to get a gel manicure or. When we got there they put all three of us and chairs and one gentleman started my pedicure while my mother and daughter sat in the pedicure chairs. When he finally finished my pedicure and started to do my nails I finally questioned who would be coming over to do my mom and my daughter because they've been sitting there the whole time. Meanwhile people have been coming in and sitting down to get their nails and toes done and still we had appointments and nothing was happening. I was extremely aggravated and only at that time did somebody else come over to start my daughters toenails. At that point I said to forget my Gel manicure and just go and work on my mom. When I went over to pay the receptionist try to charge me for my Jolle manicure even though I never even had one. The way we were treated today just wasn't right. Had a horrible experience here today.. one of my good friends told me to try it out and I will never be back. First, the gel color that I had picked out did not have a matching toe color (I was never told this) so the nail tech put hot pink on my toes (the nail color I picked was a coral/light pink color) and then he took the color off and changed it (which was nice) then I started to get my gel manicure and instead of letting my nails soak and have the gel polish soak off, the tech was scrapping the gel off with a cuticle cutter? While he was doing this, he cut my thumb and it hurt extremely bad. I was very upset so I just told him not to do my gel manicure and not to put the polish on because I was in pain and the cut was burning. The staff was nice and told me to come back tomorrow so I can get a gel manicure by I different technician and I just said it's okay and left. The staff said sorry, but that was it. Some of the nail technicians here seem very inexperienced and there are far better salons in the near by area. I will never be back to this salon. Read Less

Not a good experience today! I went around noon to get mani& pedi was not satified. For someone who rather keep money in her pocket because when I do try to splurge in a blue moon i feel like it like rather have done it myself and saved my money. But anyway I was greeted by a man the I believe was owner and he asked what I was getting today told him a regular mani and pedi he told pick a color and to get gel it's better. The guy who had me didnt speak much. Just did my feet didn't do a bad job but he forgot hot towels only reason I knew he forgot towels when I saw other customers legs wrapped up in hot towels to put on legs after the scrub. Wasn't offered water I had to ask and then it was like hesitation in getting it! A lady came in with 2 little girls and one little one was running around like it was a play ground while mother was on phone textin and owner was watching her. As I got nails done. The same guy did nails he didn't clean nail polish around nails so it was neat just put me under dryer never even asked did I like my nails or feet. New modern nail salon near Conforti's Bakery, Rita's Ice, 7-11.  Service was outstanding and spa was spotless.  We got the luxury spa $50 pedicure (with $15 tip) which was super expensive, but I've paid that before for a pedicure and felt totally ripped off in the end.  Not here!  The entire process was well over an hour and my feet and legs were massaged for at least 20 minutes and there wasn't one speck of a callus left anywhere.  The polish job was perfect.  I wish we had time for manicures!  Will definitely be back and make this my new go to spot in Brick. Very nice new salon!  I was very impressed with the way it looks. All high end equipment!  And a nail bar!  Very nice. Incredible chandelier at entrance and a very nice crystal chandelier inside.
