I had gone in for what was supposed to be a relaxing spa day, a week prior to my wedding. The facial was okay, but wasn't great. She cleansed my skin, did some dermal planing, put on a mask, did a little electro therapy, applied some lotion and sent me on my way. It wasn't overly relaxing like they are supposed to be though. Then, I went and waited for my massage--that was awkward. I'm sitting there in the waiting area and the massage therapist was talking to the girl at the desk, she then stares at me and says "oh no." So I'm sitting there and the lady takes me in the room. Prior to all my treatments I filled out a questionnaire and signed a waiver. The questionnaire asks "have you ever had a blood clot?" So I answered yes because I had, had one in the past. Anyway, were in the room and she basically tells me she is going to refuse the service because I have a blood clot. I said "no, I HAD a blood clot, I not longer HAVE a blood clot." This explains why the receptionist was staring at me and said "oh no." So after talking, we decided to continue with the massage, and she tells me she will shut off her alert app, I felt so humiliated and angered at that comment--how unprofessional!!!!! An alert app?! You work in a spa, not a hospital or a prison. After the massage, I went into the waiting area and some of the staff was staring at me because when my MOH went to pay after I went in to the room, half the staff got involved asking her to hold off because it might not happen. This of course made my MOH feel uneasy and thought something was wrong, even though I as fine. Everything I filled out on that form was confidential between me and the massage therapist, yet the whole place knew my business. Being treated that way and having my business on blast is not how you treat people. I will never return to you nor will I EVER recommend you to anyone! Very very unprofessional. I felt ridiculous explaining this situation--fortunately my MOH was there to confirm all of this because this sounds like an absolutely crazy story!! Bad business if you ask me! Read Less
