If you go into DC nails as a walk in it's hit or miss. There is a young lady there named Maria she is phenomenal she is the best nail tech I have ever had I have been going to her for years and years not to mention that DC Nails is one of the cheapest nail salons around also her father I'm pretty sure he's the only guy in there he also does Nails very well so if you do happen to walk in and Maria is busy which she usually is try to get Dad. That's just my experience I'm sure people have good days and bad days I've seen friends of mine that have gotten a phenomenal job from other people there too but as for me personally Maria is very friendly she's happy she makes you feel good and she makes your hands look good her dad is exactly the same so I give this place 5 stars if you want your nails done call in advance try to get Maria if you can. She can do anything I used to always wear square tips the same French manicure that I always had as a kid growing up in the 90s she can also do stiletto the real pointy ones my fingernails are chewed so bad I know it's gross it's a bad habit she makes my nails look so beautiful and I've had nail text tell me that they can't even do my nails because they're too small but she makes it happen and she can do designs freehand she's amazing so is Dad I love the place it's the only place I'll go

I got a gel manicure 2 days before my vacation and the gel had peeled off within days. I asked them if they would redo them and they wouldn’t because they wanted proof. Will never go there again.

My nails came out decent, lacking of shine for sure and the customer service was relatively lousy. My friends nails done by another associate were horrific. Her polish chipped almost instantaneously, the acrylics were put on crooked, the color wasn’t one of her liking and the overall nail came out completely unprofessional. We will not be going back after that.

Had acrylics put on, nearly every nail is crooked. I wanted my nails fairly long and after telling him I wanted them longer he cut them to the length he wanted. The paint job is splotchy and there are bumps and cracks everywhere. I’ve only had them on for 3 hours!! The staff was not welcoming and the nails were a disappointment...will not be back

I had the worst experience here the other day. The nail tech was using a nail file that clearly had nail dust from other clients still on it and the cuticle job was less than complete. My remaining cuticles were painted over and I had to ask for a third coat because the paint job was so uneven. Nice atmosphere and wide selection of colors, but would not recommend.

Not going back. My nails are not done well, they are very crooked, different sizes, not painted all the way, they look horrible and they look like I need a fill and I just got them done 2 days ago not happy at all. There were only 3 workers and one worker was just to paint the nails the other workers were not working and sleeping in the pedi chairs and watching tv. The workers half-assed it and didn't take their time. But good prices.

Awful. I came from Florida and stopped in for a mani pedi and did a French and the same day my nails are all chipped to pieces. I came back in hopes they would fix it and use a better polish and clear coat. The girl stated it's normal for a regular polish to do that after 20 minutes and to upgrade and spend more money in a gel polish. No thanks. I get a regular polish all of the time at home and with proper clear coating it stays for a couple of weeks. Will not come back here my next visit.

I've been in there & witnessed VERY picky, hard to please customers, they handled those people with ease & the customers left VERY happy & pleased with the job they did. Went in for a pedicure. The paint was sloppy, my nails were not even filed and overall just a really bad job. I could have done better myself. When I asked a second person to have a look, the owner acted as though it was super inconvenient. I don't want to pay $30 for a pedicure if I have to walk out the door and have them done again somewhere else. I wasn't even rude about it. The second woman fixed them, so I gave her a nice tip. I was supposed to have my nails done too as a set and the owner all of a sudden got too busy and sent me away, saying come back in an hour, then it was an hour and a half, then it was two hours. I just thanked them and left.
Today's service was disappointing and they have lost my business for good.

So I went back and they put on new gems for free which is good, except that was yesterday and one has already fallen off again. Won't be going back, that's for sure. Don't expect much. My pedicure was pretty pathetic. For some reason they don't do half the steps most nail salons do. I soaked for 20-30 minutes (when I arrived I was the only customer) my nails were cut and filed, a brief cuticle removal, then a very quick scrub up my leg. Nothing was done to the bottom of my foot and what she did do was very brief. The nail tech did not spend very much time with me, I spent way more time sitting there soaking. Also they do not use a base coat (?) After my pedicure I almost skipped the mani, but then she used a top coat so I figure id be fair and give it a try. The manicure was nothing special either. She stared at the TV through most of it and at one point filed her own nails. I did get a few bubbles in my polish. According to their website they are also a hair salon, but it's just nails. Cleanliness seemed about average compared to other cheap nail salons, the man working seemed very nice and no one was rude to me, I just was not impressed with their services and would not recommend DC nails.

Have been here a few times and have been equally dissatisfied every time. The man who owns the place is very sweet and makes you feel welcome but the women who work here are rude and unprofessional.I asked for a very simple nail design and I was told they couldn't do it and didn't have time for it.They basically tell you what your getting instead of asking what you want.I will not be returning here for an overpriced mediocre manicure.I do not recommend!

It depends on who you go to, my usual person, Marie, was unavailable so I had to go to someone else there. It was one of the worst nail jobs I've ever had, the polish didn't last even 24 hours and I have to go back again to have it redone. This lady was very fast and sloppy and I will never use her again. I don't know if she was new but really, come on, everyone knows the bottom coat has to dry first before you put on another coat with gel polish.

I was in town and had some time to kill so I thought I'd get a pedicure here. I walked in and it looked busy but they were able to get me in right away. The place looked clean and had decent polish selection. The women was very nice got started right away. The pedicure included feet soak, scrub, lotion, massage and polish. I felt very rushed. The whole pedicure was done in under 20 minutes. I told her I was ticklish and she said she understood. Most places I go to try and get the scrubbing part over with fast when you tell them your ticklish cause they understand it's hard to sit through it. She took her time and then laughed after while saying "ha you're so ticklish." I didn't hold it against her but I wish she hadn't take so long because it's hard not to pull your foot away. When it came time to polish she stuck paper towels between my toes instead of toe separators even though there were some right near her. She also did not take the time to use remover and clean up the edges. The polish job was nice but could have been cleaned up a bit.Over all the pedicure was mediocre and I don't think it was worth the $30 I paid. I think I will stick to the nail place near my home instead of trying a new one on a whim.

I went in for a pink and white fill and a pedicure. Maria did my pink and white fill and here's my experience with her: They had to fix them after she left. They are shaped horribly, the shellac is blotchy and uneven. After filing and before putting the top coat of shellac on you're SUPPOSE to be asked to go wash your hands, naturally to get all the filing residue off, and she didn't, she just painted right over it. She rushed. And the whole time was talking about how after this fill AKA me she was leaving and she was supposed to be out at 1. She can't wait to leave... My pedicure on the other hand was a great experience, it was a different girl who did that and it was wonderful. I give this 2 stars because of my pedicure. If I had went in just for a fill and my only experience was with Maria I'd advise no one to get there nails done here.

My nails came out decent, lacking of shine for sure and the customer service was relatively lousy. My friends nails done by another associate were horrific. Her polish chipped almost instantaneously, the acrylics were put on crooked, the color wasn’t one of her liking and the overall nail came out completely unprofessional. We will not be going back after that.

I had the worst experience here the other day. The nail tech was using a nail file that clearly had nail dust from other clients still on it and the cuticle job was less than complete. I came back in hopes they would fix it and use a better polish and clear coat. It depends on who you go to, my usual person, Marie, was unavailable so I had to go to someone else there. It was one of the worst nail jobs I've ever had, the polish didn't last even 24 hours and I have to go back again to have it redone. This lady was very fast and sloppy and I will never use her again. I don't know if she was new but really, come on, everyone knows the bottom coat has to dry first before you put on another coat with gel polish.

I was in town and had some time to kill so I thought I'd get a pedicure here. I walked in and it looked busy but they were able to get me in right away. The place looked clean and had decent polish selection. The women was very nice got started right away. The pedicure included feet soak, scrub, lotion, massage and polish. I felt very rushed. The whole pedicure was done in under 20 minutes. I told her I was ticklish and she said she understood. Most places I go to try and get the scrubbing part over with fast when you tell them your ticklish cause they understand it's hard to sit through it. She took her time and then laughed after while saying "ha you're so ticklish." I didn't hold it against her but I wish she hadn't take so long because it's hard not to pull your foot away. When it came time to polish she stuck paper towels between my toes instead of toe separators even though there were some right near her. She also did not take the time to use remover and clean up the edges. The polish job was nice but could have been cleaned up a bit.Over all the pedicure was mediocre and I don't think it was worth the $30 I paid. I think I will stick to the nail place near my home instead of trying a new one on a whim.

I went in for a pink and white fill and a pedicure. Maria did my pink and white fill and here's my experience with her: They had to fix them after she left. They are shaped horribly, the shellac is blotchy and uneven. After filing and before putting the top coat of shellac on you're SUPPOSE to be asked to go wash your hands, naturally to get all the filing residue off, and she didn't, she just painted right over it. She rushed. And the whole time was talking about how after this fill AKA me she was leaving and she was supposed to be out at 1. She can't wait to leave... My pedicure on the other hand was a great experience, it was a different girl who did that and it was wonderful. I give this 2 stars because of my pedicure. If I had went in just for a fill and my only experience was with Maria I'd advise no one to get there nails done here.

They are open seven days a week, have reasonable fair prices, and take credit and debit cards. Tones of colors to chose from for shellac, pedis, and full sets.
