I can't express enough how much of a hair genius Kaylee has been to my hair ! After a horrible and I mean HORRIBLE hair bleaching experience at another salon I was scarred that my hair was an extreme lost cause and their was no fixing or helping the damage , I found Kaylee threw Instagram after spending countless hours doing some research to find the perfect hair stylist to help me out and thank the heavens I've made the right choice ! This girl can seriously do color and work magic on your hair ! I love how blunt and honest she is and how much she generally cares about her clients instead of looking to just make a buck , She not only conditioned and fix my hair color but she introduced me to the best hair extension method that causes the least amount of damage ! I legit travel all the way from south Portland ME to Portsmouth NH Just to get my hair done by her and will not go to anyone else my hair has never looked or felt better and my confidence has boost so much after having one too many bad hair days ! I receive nothing but compliments daily thanks to her I am so happy !

Kaylee to the rescue! I'm in town from Indianapolis and needed a haircut pretty bad. I'm very picky and had no idea how I wanted my very long hair cut and wanted to be sure it was cut well. After much research including looking at previous work - I decided on Kaylee because I was contemplating a lob cut and hers looked great. I sat in the chair as she complimented my long hair (that really needed a good cleanup) and I had no idea what I really wanted to do with the cut. I explained I'm older and dont want to have my long hair to not be appropriate for my age and drag me down. Kaylee was very sweet and explained why the long hair would be great on me and what we needed to do to have it not age me. She recommended I keep my hair long and just take enough off to clean it up and long layers to give it some movement. She also cut it dry because I have curly hair that stretches when wet - I forgot to ask for it but she said it right away (shampoo/layers/style after cut) I love it... I'm so happy I didn't cut it all off.

My first time here was Thursday and I can't wait to go back!The salon is easy to find on Brewery Lane and has PLENTY of free parking. The salon is perfectly decorated and makes you feel instantly welcome. Every stylist was happy and seemed to like being there. :)Kait was wonderful, as usual. My friend and I have been going to her for a couple years, and she knows exactly how to handle our heads of hair. She is always willing to take the extra step in making sure we leave happy. This appointment was a new one for me, as I was coloring my hair for the first time ever. Kait had so much knowledge and insight, she's a true expert in the field. I had a ton of questions and concerns, but she answered them all and made me feel ready and calm, allowing me to choose the coloring path that was just right for me. Kait matched my hair perfectly and I couldn't be more happy!I am looking forward to coming back to Wink in a couple months!

I love wink! I drive all the way to see Angela from Southern Vermont because she's the only one I trust to color my hair. I went here on recommendation from my best friend because I was nervous since I never colored my hair before. Angela was awesome and put my worries at ease making sure I left with exactly what I wanted. I got a cut and balayage and I've been back twice since. Definitely recommend!

Came to this place to get my nails and my toes came out okay. But my hands are a whole other story. The nail technician was nice but don't let that fool you. She cannot paint a nail for her life. My shellacs look like a kindergartener did them. They are uneven and there is nail polish not even on my nails. There are bubbles. Also the lady could not keep the polish on my nail and would use a wooden dowel to scrap off the excess. The ends of my nails are not completely filed and the shellac isn't even present there. They did not soak my cuticle before pulling them away so they are completely ruined now. I have never been more upset about a manicure in my life and I am a regular nail salon goer. Please refer to my picture to prove that I am not exaggerating one bit. It's the picture with black shellac.

In need of a quick highlight touch up before an all important campaign event, I went online and viewed the Wink site - I was drawn to a time efficient/cost effective 10 foil with wash and blowout package. The best $50 I have ever spent in a salon. Cognizant of my time crunch, Ellen Smith, took control and completed the highlights on time and at a level of perfection comparable to the Newbury Street scene. Ellen is an intelligent, sophisticated professional - can't wait to have her cut and style my hair next week!!!!

Wink Salon is excellent in many aspects ! All of the staff is very friendly and easy going while still maintaining a good level of professionalism. I've never walked in without getting a smile and a hello from at least 3 people! The Salon is always extremely clean and inviting. I'm always taken on-time for my appointment, I think the longest I had to wait once was about 5 minutes past my scheduled time, but normally I'm taken right on time or a few minutes early. Always a very good haircut and great experience. Never had a manicure but my Mother goes there as well and says the manicure/pedicure is excellent as well.

We were on a weekend getaway and popped into this place. AWESOME is all I have to say. They have recently renovated and the place is beautifully decorated and clean. However the staff is so welcoming and fun. The prices are extremely reasonable. My fiance and I both got a pedicure and manicure and then I returned the next day to get a hair blow-out... I got the beach blow out style and it looked amazing.Thumbs up!

I have been coming to Wink for 7 years now. When I first moved to the area, I tried a salon downtown Portsmouth that was easy to find. I payed too much for highlights and a cut, and felt like a number instead of a client. As others have stated, the environment there is professional, and calm. The staff are friendly and helpful. Angela the owner has been doing my hair the last 7 years, and she does not disappoint. I have very dark hair, and my highlights always come out flawless. Also, she will go out of her way to get you a special color that meets your needs, as she has done for me in the past. She is excellent at what she does. In addition to hair cut, color, and style, I also frequent the salon for waxing of my nether-regions. I will say that Deb is THE BEST there is hands down. She is so great, the time flies by and before you know it, you're done. Make an appointment with Angela and Deb and you will look and feel amazing. Affordable prices, great salon, great staff. The best in the seacoast.

I'm new to the area, so needed to find a salon for regular cut and color in short order. Tried one place in Kittery; too expensive for me. An acquaintance mentioned Wink. I have been a customer for several months and am very satisfied. It takes time to establish a relationship with a stylist. If you like the salon, find it to be clean and hospitable, and hit it off with your stylist and feel they are really listening, then it can work. That's what I found here.

Came to this place to get my nails and my toes came out okay. But my hands are a whole other story. The nail technician was nice but don't let that fool you. She cannot paint a nail for her life. I've never walked in without getting a smile and a hello from at least 3 people! The Salon is always extremely clean and inviting. Love getting my hair cut here! Best cut with layers that I've ever had. And they have a blow out bar as well! Enjoyed my white wine with my cut as well!

Pretty good service, my pedicurist was very friendly but I came on the tail-end of her shift so I don't think she was too happy. Nice space , relaxing.

I have been coming to Wink for 7 years now. When I first moved to the area, I tried a salon downtown Portsmouth that was easy to find. I payed too much for highlights and a cut, and felt like a number instead of a client. As others have stated, the environment there is professional, and calm. The staff are friendly and helpful. Angela the owner has been doing my hair the last 7 years, and she does not disappoint. I have very dark hair, and my highlights always come out flawless. Also, she will go out of her way to get you a special color that meets your needs, as she has done for me in the past. She is excellent at what she does. In addition to hair cut, color, and style, I also frequent the salon for waxing of my nether-regions. I will say that Deb is THE BEST there is hands down. She is so great, the time flies by and before you know it, you're done. Make an appointment with Angela and Deb and you will look and feel amazing. Affordable prices, great salon, great staff. The best in the seacoast.

I'm new to the area, so needed to find a salon for regular cut and color in short order. Tried one place in Kittery; too expensive for me. An acquaintance mentioned Wink. I have been a customer for several months and am very satisfied. It takes time to establish a relationship with a stylist. If you like the salon, find it to be clean and hospitable, and hit it off with your stylist and feel they are really listening, then it can work. That's what I found here.
