Just moved to the area, I always get my nails done ( acrylic ) I LOVED the lady's that do nails! They are amazing!!! How'ever , I do not like the owner/manager, who ever she is. She is so demanding and pushy. I wanted a basic color and she kept telling me to do the chrome ( which is 45$ ) I kept telling her that I don't want the chrome, about 5 try's in she left me alone, later while my nails were almost done, she asked me about 5 more times if I wanted gel on my nails, I politely told her " no I just want a regular color" and then she was friendly arguing with me. I told the lady that was doing my nails to tell her that slug she asks me one more time if I want gel then I'm walking out because I just want to get my nails done and leave, not to get harassed. They are ROACH INFESTED. This one was crawling on my friends foot. We told the owner who was sitting next to us and she ignored me. We killed it and they let it sit there between us then later put a heater over it. There was also roaches around the sink area.. The owner was trying to pressure a young girl to paying more for a service she didn't even want. They said they had time for us when i called ahead, we were there for 3 hours. I brought my daughter, and her friend, and friends mom to Exotic Nails on Lafayette Rd. We had a great time. We all love our toes and nails. We got full mani with hit stone massage, and shellac mani for $36.00 a piece. The ladies here are amazing. Very kind, and they do an amazing time. We all felt personally satisfied, and taken care of. So happy to send this places 1.5 rating even lower. This was by far the WORST nail place I have ever been to. They hustle you, they make you wait, they do a crappy job and then demand you tip them. Just terrible. The women are awful and I don't think any of them are trained. I can't even describe how horrible the manicure I got was, it took forever, she cut me, the polish job was a mess and then she yelled at me for a tip. Just the absolute worst in every way. Read Less

SO Unsanitary. Worst customer service ever they refused to refund me after an acrylic service  when I came to them to explain that my nails were in a lot of pain. They told me that they refuse to take off the nail and they refused to give me a refund.  The "owner "  performed my service and didn't sanitize the drill attachments before use and put them back into a clear jar after she performed my service and NEVER DISINFECTED THEM. I then took them off myself and it turns out that my nails were bruise from being filed to thin. They didn't use nail acrylic on my nails they use dental MMA acrylic that are used for teeth.  I proceeded to go back after I had taken the nails off myself to try and get a refund again, and they again refused the refund   And when I told them that my nails were badly damaged they refused to listen to me AGAIN. Please never go there they lie and they cheat you out of money and try to  bribe you into services. They're absolutely the most terrible people I ever met. Outrageously terrible customer service. WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My girlfriends and I were told that this place does a great job, and we were looking to get our nails done before dinner. This was the WORST nail experience we have EVER had.  The person who I thought was doing my manicure was Gwen, but she had someone else do the filing and so-called "manicure".  This woman was awful, she filed my nails down to the point they are now ahort, the water I was to soak in was scalding hot, and she never had me wash my hands or anything. Just used alcohol before Gwen came back for the Gel portion of my visit. She did an "ok" job with it, but will never go back.My girlfriends now had a pedi, and one had a french manicure. The person who had the pedi said the hot stones were so hot that they burned her. And they smudged her polish which she did not see until she got home. The one who had the French gel Manicure; her white tips were barely white almost see-through. And the nude part was jagged at the base. TERRIBLE! they are pushy, they talk about you in front of you in another language; however, make it obvious it's about you. Just..don't.Didn't have a great experience years ago, not sure why I came back.The woman working tried to up sell us as soon as we walked in.  We said we only wanted a manicure and pedicure, and she tried to tell us we had to get the hot stones/more expensive package that we didn't want.For lack of a better word, this "salon" isn't very clean and is kind of a mess.  The nail polish seemed old and the station seemed dirty.  I should have got up and left.  They left a large sized gap between my cuticle and where the nail polish started - which made it look like my nails grew out and cuticles were pushed back.My manicurist also was very unfriendly.  She seemed annoyed that she was there.My friend came with me as well and had a bad experience after we left.  Her top coat got all gooey and brown and pretty much rubbed off.Won't come back Read Less

NO JUST DONT DO IT!!First off, I had a coupon pamphlet that my boyfriend gave me,  $20 "Spa pedicure ", happily I signed in as I was told and told the woman I wanted that $20 special. She immediately pressed me to spend five more dollars for a hot stone massage, $10 more for another type of massage.  After I said no repeatedly she took the entire coupon booklet and said I couldn't use the rest of them. After asking her why I  couldn't use the rest of coupons  she said, "no new ones get mailed out to home" and she began asking me for my address and saying you get more, you get more". Secondly, now the tub and chairs are filthy, I saw mold under the foot tub liner despite the many random bottles of bleach strewn about. Now time for the pedicure; she asks me to place my feet in tub- it was scolding hot!!!  Literally hot hot hot. After telling her that it was too hot she started  waving a towel over the water!  WTH?? After the water cooled off she asked me if I wanted to get the "spa scrub" for "ten more dollar, only ten more dollar". Whaaaaat!? So the usual sea salt/leg scrub that you always get, I didn't...nope! She rubbed lotion on my legs for about two minutes. Why I didn't get up and walk out is beyond me. The lady kept staring at the clock and acted as if she was in the worst rush of her life. While I was in the chair and she was in the back room we were all smothered with cigarette smoke from a male worker who didn't step outside but yet stayed and smoked in the back room!!  DISGUSTING!  Now, to finish up wherever she placed my shoes was obviously near my leaky tub, my shoes were SOAKED!  Thankfully I wore my merells-which are able to dry quicker.  And before leaving I wanted to watch my hands after putting on my soaked shoes, and the jergens hand soap was nothing more than hand sanitizer mixed with water!!And don't get me started on the poor koi fish crammed in that tiny a$$ tank!  Disgusting, disgusting disgusting - I want toBurn my feet off!!  Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Read Less

Worst mani pedi ever.I mean seriously, the guy almost nipped off some of my fingertip on two fingers while cutting my nails. The massage was horrible and painful, and I'm no sissy. The Nail files are al used and grody, the tub that my feet were in felt like it had a film on it, there was nail dust on the arms of my chair. It smelled like fart in there. My sister was put off so long that she had acetone soaking on her fingers for more than half an hour, and we finally had to go, then the lady actually demanded she pay for the shellac and also asked about a tip. I received a $20 spa pedicure coupon in the mail earlier in the week, so I was looking forward to a little end of week pampering. I was acknowledged by the owner or manager I believe right away. However, she tried to offer me every service except the pedicure I said I had the coupon for.  I politely declined, but she was very relentless, sounding almost desperate. I was given a chair, then it took almost 10 minutes before I got started. I wasn't in a hurry, but I almost wanted to walk out before I even began. 3 different nail techs touched my feet, and each of them kept trying to get me to upgrade to a fancier pedicure, manicure, etc. My feet do look pretty today but I was so put off by the pushiness that I will never return. Being a cosmetologist I know my s&@t about these types of things and jobs, this is one of the worst "nail" salons I have been to. Girl going my nails didn't speak to me once, only spoke to the other coworker next to her in a different language. Cut me during my pedi multiple times, did the whole "spa" pedi in 15 min and was rough as if she was angry at my feet. Used a strong bleach smelling "soap" to massage my feet too. This place is def not worth the $$. They made us sit and wait for a person to come and didn't fill the foot baths with water or pay any attn. the treatment was so fast and the techs could not speak English when I asked them to put colder water in the scorching hot water.  The nail tools looked disgusting and dirty and when he used the foot scrubber, he put it on the floor afterwards with all of the nasty foot funk in it. One of the people we went out with didnt end up getting a pedicure bc they completely ignored the fact he was sitting there for 1/2 hour and we ran out of time. This place is ok for a color change or quick pedi and that about it. The "fancy spa" pedi wasn't worth the $40. I recently went for a way overdue pedicure and since it's near my office, it's convenient at lunch for in and out. I typically don't go to "factory" nail shops with tubs and chairs fearing nail fungus and whatever else you can pick up. Polish selection needs to updated... Numerous bottles but about 1/4 filled...old polish = chipped polish in a week...my nail shop rule is crappy polish than overall cheap standards. What else are they cutting corners on? I got the typical soak, file, clip, buff, polish routine. But with some spa extras... Oil, hot rocks, leg massage. Wasn't impressed. So no cuts or nicks (blood) and got a fresh coat of polish and feet buffed for weekend wedding. However Polish was a little sloppy and didn't completely cover nail... But better than what I could do. Probably won't be back unless desperate again. Friendly pushy yes but at least they talked to me. And I did get the pushy cash tip request from manager which I don't mind since I gave the $ to technician vs pushy manager. Read Less

I went here this weekend with my mom to get a quick manicure and pedicure.  We just rented a condo in the area and were looking for an inexpensive place that could be our go to when we're up visiting, and this was most definitely NOT it!When we arrived a woman, who I'm assuming is an owner or manager of some sort, asked about five times if we wanted a gel manicure. Neither of us did, but she continued to push the gel manicure and said she would give it to us for the same price as a regular manicure.  Great, but we didn't want that.  Then she tried to sell us both on a more expensive pedicure after we insisted many times we just wanted a basic pedicure.  She also tried to charge us extra to become "VIPs" at the salon.  You really had to fight with her to get just the basic services.The manicure and pedicure themselves were pretty awful too.  I had to insist about ten times that I didn't want my cuticles cut, and the man doing my pedicure then tried to dig up my cuticles with his fingers.  So gross.  There was no consistency in what was included in the pedicure--my mom had her feet exfoliated, I didn't, etc.  They were pretty busy with it being a holiday weekend, so they try to do your manicure at the same time as your pedicure.  It's pretty uncomfortable and doesn't even save time as they kept stopping and walking away for five minutes at a time!  They also do not clean the pedicure tubs afterwards.  They wipe them down with the towel your feet have been sitting on for the whole time, but use no soaps or disinfectants. All in all our mani/pedis took well over an hour and a half, and the quality was really poor as well.  Mine started to chip the next day and my mom, who asked for clear polish, wasn't even given any polish aside from a base coat and a hardener.  They also ask you to tip them throughout the process, which is extremely uncomfortable.  We will definitely NOT be going back. I live in LA but travel to NH often for work and play (random I know) but I have been trying to find a nail salon to frequent on my trips. Luckily, today I found Exotic Nails. From the moment I called them to check on their hours, to the second I left their salon it was such a pleasant experience! They were super clean and everyone was awesome.Kimmy was so nice and friendly. She did an amazing job on my nails and was so sweet the whole time. I will definitely be going back here in the future! Worst place on the planet, I went because I had a coupon. Cut my toe during pedicure, not to mention the shellac took 1:45 minutes to do. Quyen was too busy squeezing all the customers she could for herself and not delegate to other 6 people working there. Shellac looked like a 5 year old did kept telling me that "she make it look good for me" ya right. Finnaly she kept leaving me and I just had it and said look I am very upset you aren't doing a good job and take way too long. She blamed me the customer for not having apt. This place has got to be the DIRTIEST place on the face of this earth I have ever been too. They reviews are all true. They don't clean the water in the pedicure tub, it's filthy. I don't know how anyone could have issued them a state license to operate. They had to have bought the license on the black market somewhere.
