This was by far the worst pedicure I have ever received. They didn't cut my cuticles or clean under my nails. The man painting my nails got red polish all over my toes and refused to clean it up. I usually only use Yelp to endorse businesses I appreciate, but I feel the need to help others avoid the mistake of using this business. I'll be brief- We went in to get two manicures and were fortunate to be taken immediately. From there, things were all downhill. The service was cursory and we both left feeling that our nails were not done professionally at all- Some nails were cut much shorter than others, half a nail was not painted at all, cuticles were practically ignored. We both commented that we would have been better served doing our own nails at home. Here's the kicker- I was just getting my nails trimmed while my fiancée was getting a trim, polish, color. We were shocked when we were both charged $16 (mind you, my trim lasted about five minutes). When we asked about the pricing, our questioning was met with hostility. Where to start.... hmmm. You come back tomorrow, you come back Monday, you come back in 30 minutes.... over and over. So much for"walk ins welcome". Prices just shot up. There is an older man in there that does bad work. They talk to each other while working on you as if you weren't there. The last time I went in after being told to "come back later" I was getting gel on my toes, she screwed up the polish and instead of re doing that toe, she patched it and it looked like it. They are just unprofessional, short staffed and not very polite. This place did my nails pretty poorly. The person rushed my nails and they didn't last very long. There was no massage either. I did like that there was a place to dry your nails since some places don't have that. Also he didn't do what I wanted. I said that I wanted purple on EVERY nail and sparkles OVER one of my nails on each hand. And then he didn't do that! He did purple on 4 nails on each hand and one nail of just glitter, which is not what I wanted and it didn't look good. Read Less

I''m torn between a 2 or 3 star.  So, to be fair I'm giving it 3 stars.  The first time I had an appointment for a regular mani / pedi.  Well I got talked into (yes as you see on video) a shellac mani because they guaranteed that the color would be the same as my toes. They weren't.  Ok, fine.  The next time I went in was just for a manicure.  I picked my color.  He painted them once then filled it with some solution then painted them 2 more times.  Very thick and wet.  Because of that I made sure I stayed under the nail dryer for at least 20 minutes (i.e. more than the 3 button "push").  Well, I guess that wasn't enough because they all smudged in one way or another.  Come to find out he was putting nail polish remover in the polish as a thinner because I guess the polish was old?  What?!!  All set. Not sure why I every come here.  About once a year I give this place a chance. I am never happy.  I wish the quality of service was consistent.  Some technicians seem to take their time...I never get them.  Others rush trough the job.  This past visit my manicure did not last two days.  The convince of this walk in is not worth it, sadly. Every time I come here the staff always treats me very well!  I have brought friends and family.  As with any service salon, if you don't engage in conversation you are not treating the person with respect.  How do you think you would feel if nobody spoke to you all day but only cared about themselves?  The job would not be rewarding and you wouldn't last very long.  I always get a fabulous massage including a hand massage when getting my acrylics filled. I have stiletto nails. I just moved back here from Orlando and desperately needed a quick fill. My nails were already shaped and I just wanted a fill. Well the guy totally screwed up my shape and looked really mad when I told him that it wasn't what I wanted. I wasn't rude, but he certainly was. They are more round than stiletto and most of them are uneven on both sides. I'm a pushover and I paid and even tipped. However I won't be returning for my stilettos again. Read Less

I went in with my 80YO aunt who uses this salon in the rare instances that she gets herself a manicure. I sat with my Aunt while she got her manicure, and the lady that gave it to her was incredibly rude the whole time we were there. She rolled her eye's at us in annoyance at least 6 times during the visit. One of the times was because when my Aunt was getting out of the chair and she smudged one of her nails. Mind you, my aunt has a hard time walking and just as hard a time getting up and down. She certainly did not mean to smudge a nail. Another time she rolled her eye's because I pressed the button to turn the nail dryer back on like she told me and as it turned out I didn't press it hard enough. She got up from her seat, annoyed, rolled her eye's and slammed the button. I have never been treated so rudely by someone that is in customer service. This girl should not be in customer service, especially in this day and age where business's are struggling to make ends meet. My mother goes to this salon at times, and say's the owner is very nice. Hopefully this was an isolated incident. In the end she didn't even get off all of the old polish that was on her nails or cut them to even lengths until I asked her. I have a fondness for this place - I had a mani/pedi here for my wedding, and I was really happy with the results. That was 4 years ago. Since then, this place is just consistently disappointing. I grew up in Peterborough but don't live here anymore. I come back often to visit and for special events. The last three times I've had a pedi here it was seriously underwhelming. They do a terrible job shaping the nails. I said repeatedly - short, straight across (which I think is the general rule to prevent ingrown toenails) and of course my toenails are rounded. The polish is super sloppy and doesn't completely cover the nail bed (??!), and there was no massage to speak of. I had a pedicure on Friday for a wedding on Saturday, and by Sunday morning (this morning) the polish looks TERRIBLE. I know it is one of the only places around, but come on guys...for what you're charging the pedicure should last for more than 2 days. You're better off slapping some polish on yourself and calling it a day - it will look like you did your nails yourself anyway. Read Less

My sister-in-law and I were in the area for a family wedding in September (2012), and we wanted to go get our nails done. Found the place online after a quick search, and called to check availability around 10AM. We were scheduled for 12:15PM to have two manicures.We walked into the salon around noon, and there were two customers receiving pedicures from the only two technicians. It was a sizable space (at least half a dozen chairs for each pedicure and hands), acceptably clean/tidy. We sat down to wait (clearly, we were early). After only a few minutes, one of the technicians motioned me over to a manicure station, having apparently completed the one pedicure. She started on my manicure while my sister-in-law sat in the chair one station over. What ended up happening was that she gave us both our manicures, one after the other. Which I guess was fine, thankfully we had nowhere pressing to be, but it was a little weird.The other technicians kept working on the remaining pedicure client, and as we finished up more people walked in. The technicians appeared to be able to juggle four people among them, but it was a little disconcerting.The manicures turned out to be very nice, however, and both of us were pleased with the end-result  - we got our manicures.Appreciated that the technician working on us had a mask on, since she was coughing fairly regularly.
