The lady doing my pedi was very rough and the hot wax for my feet was way too hot. She handed me a receipt for 37 for the pedi and nail designs on my big toes. Then she asked me something that I couldn’t understand, so I finally just said yes and was charged an extra 5.00 at check-out for tiny, simple designs on the rest of my toes that I hadn’t asked for. It’s NEVER easy finding a new salon let alone a new nail tech when you have been going to the same one for many years,that was my “problem” when I moved out to Dallas and stumbled upon Posh. I immediately fell in love with the design and atmosphere of the salon and the welcoming and warm vibes from the ladies who work there!! It wasn’t until my 2nd visit that I met Michelle and had her as my tech for this visit. Not only did she do an AMAZING JOB on my eyebrows (which I’m VER...Y picky and anxious about!!! Lol) But she also made sure she did my nails the exact way I asked them to be done (I do the dip and I can be a really ”picky”about how I like them done!! So I went in with my girl to get my toes trimmed and was talked into getting my hands done since she was too, my first time! In just a cpl days both my feet and fingers already were at the point of a little trimming. For $48 + a few dollars for a tip, nails shouldn't be getting ready for trimming again, so soon. It's been 3 yrs since I visited your nail salon. I could easily discern that African Americans were not treated well by your staff. I witnessed it over and over! The sad part is my daughter who was only 10 yrs old at the time, could see the difference as well. I decided to give your business another try. My daughter said, "Mom I thought you said we wouldn't come here anymore." I responded baby, this is the first nail salon I visited when we moved to Richardson in 2013, ...let's give them another try. Sadly, the service and treatment was even worse! I was disappointed again. I observed too, the manager and those checking you out after grooming you, were aggressive when asking for a tip! Suggestions for Poshe Nails: (1) Please re-train your staff, and also tell them that not all African Americans are mean, belligerent, and ignorant as they suppose. (2) Please tell them that every race: Caucasian, African American, Asian, Indian, Hispanic, and others, all have "bad apples" in the bunch. (3) Tell them, contrary to what they see portrayed on tv, or what they have experienced; all people are not the same! Lastly, my family and I take pride in being "great tippers." We go every week for our pedi's and nails. Everyone is always very nice and friendly. Amy and Tina are the best and always do amazing jobs on our Pedi's. Horrible experience my second time here. I specifically asked for a Gel polish change and a pedi. The tech I guess decided on her own to do a gel manicure which is 10$ more.... the tech doing my pedicure did not match the color with my nails and thought I was just gonna say Ok and go with it. Literally the worst gel manicure I have ever had in my entire life. Went in two days ago and had the guy do my nails, you can still see the white of my nails through the actual nail polish, nail polish has already chipped within 24 hours, they cut me twice with the nail file, I could go on and on... Mediocre at best. Went for a simple shellac manicure, haven't had my nails done in ages and wanted to have them done for our companies Christmas party. Anywho - service was cold and uninviting. The gentleman that did my nails basically just grunted at me when he needed to swap my hands or put them under the lights. I understand there is a language barrier but please ... use your words! Went here with the wife to get a pedicure.  We were fast to sit down and start the feet soaking, but everything went bad from there.   They cut my nails, and the did a horrible job, I had to recut my big toe when I got home.  Then we got to the scrubbing on the bottom of the feet, and that lasted about 5 seconds.  My heels are horrible and usually require a cheese grater to get off all the extra skin, so the 5 seconds did nothing to it.  Even my wife who heels which are not bad, look horrible.  The foot massage was ok, but not worth the $35 since it doesn't even look like either one of use got a pedicure.  Wish I would of looked them up on the internet before we went. The woman cut me while she was giving me a pedicure, and I got a bacterial infection from the disgusting foot bath and had to get antibiotics. They are unbelievably rude and barely speak English. Jack is literally God's gift. He gives super long massages with his pedicures, like REALLY long (hot stones included in basic pedi). He also puts up with my finicky weird nail ideas with grace. On top of that this is the cheapest place on the seacoast and I have never once been cut. He takes his time and is worth his weight in gold. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I've been to this salon before but the last time I went (September 9, 2015), the guy who did such a great job on my pedicure, started on my nails.  He used a nail tip to remove the old acrylic nails I had.  He was so careless &  in such a hurry, he tore 2 of my nails & made them bleed!  When I complained, he grabbed my hand to continue.  I jerked it back & told him to be easy!  He spoke to another guy in the shop & before I knew it, another guy came over to work on my nails.  The second guy was no better!  I'll NEVER go back to that salon!!! I was annoyed at first that there was a very unwelcoming vibe when I first walked in and seemed to be no one to greet or person to talk to. Once I was seated they all started talking in another language which is typical in most nail salons I suppose.. BUT! I had a great pedicure, possibly the best I've ever had. The guy pretty much ignored me but did a wonderful massage and they had hot stones. Took his time and did a great job! I love this place. I consider myself a "regular" and every technician has been pleasant with me. I think I've seen them all! I have had a few issues (because we all make mistakes), but they are always eager to handle them. I've gone twice so far. The 1st time a very sweet girl did my nails. She took the time to soak off my old nails & did a beautiful job w/ shellac. The next time I went a younger guy did them & it was horrible. It felt so rushed. He was drilling my nails so quickly the drill kept slipping & hitting my finger tips. Luckily it didn't actually cut me. He did ok w/ the shellac but just a basic paint job. There were a few kids of theirs in the back & they were all arguing very loudly which I thought was unprofessional to have in the work place. The guy was not very clean. First, there was no soap in the bathroom = gross. I noticed that the tools that he used on my feet came from a dry storage container - ie, not in hygienic solution - which is also gross. He spent approximately 20 seconds (not enough time) scrubbing the bottoms of each of my feet which is one of the main components of a decent pedicure. Then he proceeded to give me a really lackluster massage that dragged on forever - he basically rubbed my shins (?) and then pulled at my toes, both of which hurt. The polish application turned out fine, but only once we tracked back down the color I had chosen which somehow had gotten put away. In addition to all that, he was not even smiley or friendly. I took my daughter here to get mani pedis and while they had a nice children's chair they were not friendly at all. My questions and friendly conversation were ignored. The place was not clean, they did not use fresh tools and there was stuff floating in the foot bath. The drying station barely works. If I could give it less than 1 star I would.  This place is not clean or sanitary in any way shape or form.  The women in the salon do a great job, but the men are lazy and give the worst pedicures.  Unattentive, same repetitive motion and they always ask if you want the "spa" pedicure..  For $6 you get a scoop of bath salts rubbed on your legs.  Stop laughing, I'm serious.  It is seriously that bad.  Do yourself a favor and go across the street to California nails and see Lee and Helen, they will take good care of you. I went in around Christmas to have a gel manicure and it was the worst salon experience I've ever had. The shop was filthy, the first 3 colors I picked out were not available, and they were the unfriendliest bunch I've ever seen in the service business.  They pulled their tools from a cleaning machine but they were certainly not sanitized. And $25 for a gel manicure with no massage? I am from So Cal, so I don't know if that is what a typical service is like out here but I was taught in cosmetology school that being successful in the beauty industry requires pampering your clients- bc that's what they're there for. This is actually my favorite place to get a pedicure.  It does sometimes depend on who you get, but I often get the same woman whom I kind of love!  She spends a good 45-60 minutes on the $35 spa pedicure and probably 75% of that time is spent on the foot and leg massage, which is really why I go.  They do a great job cleaning up the feet and the polish always looks great.  I have been to several other nice spas and similar nail salons and this is still the best job at the best price Read Less

They did not honor my reservation. I had to wait 50 minutes. They made little attempt to speak English and spoke Vietnamese with each other in front of me. I visited this salon early in the day, probably right when it opened. I got right in and tried the shellac manicure for the first time. The girl who did my nails had just walked in the door with her baby and he sat in his stroller the whole time she did my nails, just watching, making sounds and eating a donut. This doesnt bother me at all, I enjoyed having him there. He was not cranky or in need of her immediate attention and she was still able to get my nails done so I wasnt bothered at all. The shellac is FABULOUS! They have a ton of colors--a solid color shellac style costs $25 there, but I got french manicure which cost me $30. It was fast, the people were nice enough (not overly friendly which is my usual nail salon experience), and they did a really nice job. Ill go back here in a couple weeks to have it done over. Its super convenient for me because the school is like 5 minutes down the street. It is inside the mall and they do accept credit card but you'll need cash for a tip. Welcome to the mall. This place was an interesting experience, I went there in hopes that my horrid feet could be softened up for the summer. This is kind of like an assembly line of nail care, it's a wee bit cold if you are the type of person looking for a nail salon based on the warm reception or enjoy chatting with the staff. However, if you are NOT looking to chat and would just like to zone out while having your feet worked on, it fits the bill. $30 for a Pedicure, but I upgraded to $35 for the SPA Pedicure, which includes extra exfoliation and lotion treatment on the feet and lower legs. (Much Needed). Though it has the "assembly line" feel (they are trying to process as many people as possible), the staff does not skimp on the time they give to each customer. My SPA Pedicure took at least 30/40 minutes not including drying time. If a pedicure provider is trying to cut time out, they usually shorten the exfoliation and moisturizer steps. Not here. The woman working to exfoliate my feet and lower legs took so long and rubbed so hard, I thought I was going to be rubbed raw after! (Wait, wasn't that the point? And NO, I was actually just fine after). At first I tried to make a little convo, but then I thought I'd just zone, and everyone was cool with that. The polish was applied very neatly and included a top coat. The woman next to me was getting a French Style polish job on her toes, and they were looking fantastic (though for a bit more $$) I have not tried fingernails and hands here yet, but I'm sure it's much the same, massage, lotion, dip and very neat polish.
