This was my first visit to Spectra Salon & Spa but it will not be my last. When staying in this area again, I will come back. If I lived closer it would be a monthly event. Awesome! Katie gave me a facial last night and it was amazing! My appointment was at 6:30 and I relaxed while she went to work! I just let her pick what she felt I needed. What a wonderful spa day. My friend and I went for my Christmas/Birthday present what an event! Walking in you know you are in for a treat a beautiful Spa. I had a manicure and Pedicure by Gretchen she was amazing. Usually a manicure takes 10 minutes at other places I go in and out. Not here I got to relax and was pampered. Wonderful atmosphere - great staff and beauticians!!I've been here twice. First time for a  Brazilian wax with Kerrie - she was great! We went here for a spa day the day before my sister's wedding--we were a party of 9 people. The staff were exceptionally friendly and nice. Everyone said the massages they received were fantastic. Being a "guy" I used to scoff at going to a salon for anything. At my daughters urging, I finally gave in and scheduled a pedicure. What a wonderful experience! I had the 'happy feet' feeling for a few days afterwards. I have now been going for about a year and look forward to each and every visit. I love Spectra!!They are always so accommodating and great with squeezing me in if they can when I call last minute!  I'm not sure why people are saying they're overpriced - $10 for an eyebrow wax compared to $13 to $15 at other local salons seems pretty amazing to me for what you get!  (I have never had a bad eyebrow wax here EVER!) Spectra Hair and Nails has an amazing staff that are bubbly and professional. A few months ago I needed an appointment at the spur of the moment for an eyebrow wax and was conveinently scheduled in the book 15 minutes later! (Granted I don't live far from the establishment). I was vacationing for the week and found Spectra through a Google search and made an appt for a much needed pedicure.  The woman who answered the phone (I think it was Louise) was SO friendly and inviting.  I got there and the place was so warm and clean, the pedicure chairs were nicely spaced out, not on top of each other like is typical in NY. I put on the back massage feature and Jen gave me SUCH a good foot massage and a beautiful French pedicure.  I had such a relaxing time and was able to catch up on my ipad reading.  They have so many cute scarves, jewelry, etc, for sale, I also got myself a new pair of earrings.  I'll definitely be coming back here each time I'm vacationing!!  :) Read Less

I wanted to treat myself while on vacation, so I made an appointment to get a facial.  I've had facials many times before, but don't do it very often.  I got Katie and will ask for her again.I'd never been here, but read other reviews and decided to give it a try.  On appearances alone I'd give this place 5 stars.  Very clean, well equipped, and exactly what a spa should be.Katie was very thorough.  I've been breaking out for no reason lately and I have some allergies to certain products, she was very careful to choose just the right products for me and explained the purpose of each part of the treatment.  She was very relaxed and made me feel very comfortable.  My skin looked so much better when she was done.  Best facial I've ever had.  No question about it.  On the way in, I broke my nail and asked if they could squeeze me in for a shaping and polish change.  No problem.  Ashley did my nails and she was great.  I have natural nails and have them shaped stiletto style, she fixed the nail I broke and had me re-polished in no time.Everybody at Spectra was friendly and professional.  Honestly, one of the most well organized spa/salons I've ever visited.  So good in fact, I think it's worth the drive to have all my future facials done here. Had a very bad spray tan done here.  They were overbooked so tried to get me to book 45 minutes later.  When I couldn't wait that long, they were annoyed.  Front desk girl, blond and young, had an attitude.  The girl who did my tan, Katie, did it so light that it didn't look much like a tan and then forgot to do my hands and feet.  I went back the next day to "fix" the hands and feet problem and that woman was extremely nice and spayed my arms over just so it would look more like a tan.  I have had my hair cut there before and the hair stylist was good.  I would just never have a spay tan done there.  Forgetting the hands and feet?  Really?  Also, would recommend replacing the blond girl that greets you at the front desk. A couple of weeks ago, I booked a facial, manicure, pedicure, and haircut at Spectra.  It was all pretty expensive for this area.  The facial was quite ordinary.  I wanted to have it because of winter flakiness -- and was just as flaky after the facial as before.  Pedicure was very nice -- and the manicure, a gel manicure, looks as good now, 12 days later, as it did the day I got it, apart from a small amount of nail growth.  The gel manicure is more expensive than other places, though (and I'm not referring just to the Asian salons which are less expensive in all categories).  Haircut was good.  The overall feel of the place is pleasant.  I'll be back for haircuts and manicures.
