Oh my goodness, I had the BEST haircut here this weekend! I was pretty nervous because I wanted to chop off quite a bit and I've never had a short cut I really loved, but Lisa spent a long time with me beforehand figuring out the best style to work with my face shape and hair texture and the amount of styling I was willing to do. And let me tell you, she did a *fabulous* job! Every time I pass a mirror I smile because I'm so happy with how it looks. And for one of the first times, it's not just the day-of hair that looks great. Lisa managed to give me a cut I can style and be happy with on my own. Oh, and she colored my hair to cover the grays, and it's perfect - really close to my natural shade, but just a hint warmer and richer. My friend and I decided to get a manicure at this place since it's brand new and they offered a 50% off promotion for first-time customers. The place is clean and the staffs were very friendly and accommodating. However, the manicure itself was not very impressive. The girl who did mine was pleasant but I think she lacked experience. I had French tip gel on and it took her almost an hour to remove them. I swear one of my nails got damaged because she kept buffing the surface, making it thinner and thinner. The polish job was sloppy. My nails were uneven and bumpy. I should've just stuck to my regular Asian nail salons, no chit-chatting or complimentary drinks but I'd walk out with perfect looking nails. Read Less

This is where it's at!!  My Reis Salon provides a luxurious spa atmosphere that  is clean, comfortable and welcoming.  It is truly top notch service from start to finish!  My gel manicure was impeccably done with attention to detail and concern for my comfort.  I felt pampered AND the polish lasted perfectly until my next appointment. I hate leaving negative reviews but Im really bummed out that I wasted so much money for me to leave with my hair looking exactly the same as when I came in. I originally wanted a partial foil with some low lights but the owner and stylist thought it was kind of out of style and wanted something more trendy like "smudging" the root which I thought okay, they are the professionals and I trusted it would come out looking really neat. They never told me how much more expensive "smudging" would be, and I really wanted some dark ash blonde to break up the platinum I had. Well two hours later and No cut because the stylist just flat out said "im not going to trim your hair today" (I booked myself for a trim) and sent me on my way. My hair looked exactly the same as when I came in, it just looked like my roots were grown out by an inch, which could have happened naturally if I just let my hair grow out. They charged me for a balyage which is something I picture as way more drastic than the "smudging" technique that came out on my hair and it was 165 for balyage and 35 for a blow dry instead of 120 for a partial foil and cut which is what I originally wanted. I did have a bonding treatment which I definitely needed and gladly would pay for that, but for the stylist not to tell me the price differential was a bit upsetting when the price difference was so huge. I left feeling like my hair looked exactly the same and to pay that kind of money for that is just unreal. on a positive note, the owner and stylist were very pleasant people and the atmosphere was beautiful, but I really wish I just saved my money. The first time I came for a haircut, I was in and out in 30 minutes. This included, hair wash, cut and blow dry for $50+tip. (Most salons spend a little bit more time with you.) the cut was fine.I decided to book a partial foil with Austin. I was running 10 mins late and called. Receptionist said it was okay and to get there as soon as I can. They called back within 2 mins and said it was too late. I was just getting the exit. Apparently, they reserve 30 minutes for a foil and that her next client is showing up in 10 mins. 30 minutes for a haircut and 30 mins for a partial foil? I've never heard of that before. I have been looking for a good hair salon for 4 years.  After reading the reviews on here, I made an appointment with their popular "Luxe" stylist.  The problem is she is not consistent at all.  The first visit was pretty good and I went back a few more times with mediocre results.  The second to last visit I finally took a picture of what I wanted.  She nailed it and I was happy       and I thought I had finally found my salon.  When I went back for my next visit, I took my picture with me but she dismissed looking at the picture and said she could always remember and didn't need to see it.  Well, guess what...her memory isn't as good as she thought and I didn't get the same haircut at all.  In fact, the actual haircut took all of 10 minutes (the 1st time she took twice as long on the haircut) and  I have not had ONE good hair day since she cut it.  For a 10 minute haircut I could have gone to Super Cuts but when I spend $57 (without tip) on a haircut I expect more.  I didn't get the "head massage" either...only got that on the first visit.   Although she is very friendly, I certainly didn't get the "Luxe" haircut I should have received.  I just can't justify the prices for what I'm getting.  My search continues. I love it here! So much I convinced my very apprehensive sister to get a healthy trim here. Corynne was great with her! Patient, insightful and a friend for her. Gave my sister three haircuts until she was comfortable and excited about a seriously shorter cut, and no more dead ends. Corynne's focus and understanding made my sister confident, she was thrilled. I've come here for any considerable hair changes, with Lisa or Austin so far, and always feel comfortable in the salon and that I'm in good hands. I visited NH from the Boston area prior to a family wedding recently and went to My Reis salon to have  2 services : my hair cut/full foil and a shellac manicure. I Can't give this salon enough compliments on the quality of thier work and thier customer service. the front desk was super friendly, very welcoming and the salon is very clean and modern. My stylist Lisa was amazing! she was able to understand exactlywhat I wanted for color. She rocks. Not only was she an excellent stylist but she also is a nail technician, who gave me a a shellac manicure that has lasted far more than 2 weeks. I work in a hospital and wash my hands a million times a day and my nails are still perfect! She even changed her lunch around to make sure I was a happy customer. I went back and forth between 2 and 3 stars. 2 stars says "Meh. I've experienced better." which is EXACTLY how i feel but i feel that 2 stars is quite harsh. My cut isn't bad, it's just not great and it's definitely not what i asked for. I even brought pictures to show what I wanted and my stylist barely glanced at them (which is probably why my cut ended up the way it did). The entire process took less than a half hour and that's including washing. The stylist wasn't friendly and i ended up just listening in on the conversation of another person getting their hair done.Price was extremely cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. I'm just annoyed that I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get what I want. Read Less

I've been going to My Reis for about a year now and would recommend it to anyone! Here are some things I Iove about this salon:1) Friendly, attentive staff who seem to really enjoy what they do. From what I can tell, it's also a learning environment; I've observed a lot of teaching/coaching going on whenever I'm there. It's really good to see a company investing in the development and success of their employees.2) They stay on schedule and if you have to wait, they let you know right away and don't leave you wondering what's going on. (They also offer you water, coffee, etc.)3) Not only is my stylist very skilled at cutting/styling hair but she listens when I tell her how I want my hair cut and asks questions to make sure she knows exactly what I mean. She is the first stylist who has EVER helped me successfully grow my hair long instead of "trimming" 4 inches off every time I go for a cut.4) Online booking. For me, that's way easier than making a phone call because I can do it at my leisure instead of needing to study my schedule and be prepared with plans A, B and C beforehand. And I believe you can book 24/7, which is super convenient. 5) I can afford it! Their prices are fair - you pay more than the average chain salon but they don't jack the prices up as high as they could. Bottom line, you get what you pay for... and I'm always happy with what I pay for here.My Reis is a professionally run salon with a wide variety of quality services. I'm a crier; I've started crying being in a salon chair before even leaving. I'm absolutely paranoid of letting someone touch my hair. I've had the worst experiences I'm still traumatized, but Austin pushed those fears aside. She took her time, told me everything she was about to do before doing it and really knew her stuff!!!! Not only was she EXCELLENT with hair (I got a massive color change and a long time needed cut) but she's so nice :) Easy to talk to, super friendly and genuinely enjoys her profession. My Reeis is truly an experience. Lorie is the ONLY hair dresser who has been able to cut my unruly hair in about 20 years. When I called this salon to make my appointment I wanted their top notch person. The receptionist recommended Lorie because she had the most education in the salon along with the most experience. For her skill's, the price was CHEAP! I walked out of there for about $80 including tip & product. I am used to paying well over $100 in Boston and in Lexington(where I use to go). I went in to get a haircut a few days ago here for the first time, and I loveeddd it! Nicole did my hair and she did a greaat job. She was really nice and listened to what I wanted. I used get my hair cut at the barber until I found Nicole's Salon. I'll never go back. The salon in itself has an awesome new age ambience. However, the real reason I go is because of the talent of the stylists and their personalities. It's overall good experience.
