Clean, very friendly place. I had a cut and blow dry. Wanted to get rid of my dead ends, seems like the cut could have been more layered but overall it was a good experience. I've gone here off and on for a few years. I had been seeing Ingrid who is lovely and did a great job every time and really worked with me, but I can't see her anymore without taking a day off of work (and she is moving soon anyhow). Because of this I booked with Loretta for my last appointment, and while my hair came out okay (not great), it wasn't a great experience. She took me an hour late with nothing more than an unenthusiastic "thanks for waiting". Then began the balayage process, which went well, except that because she ran late she took another customer while I was processing. When she was done with the other customer she returned to me and rinsed me, but despite lightening a few levels she didn't do anything but a normal shampoo and conditioner- leaving my hair a little more fried than expected despite taking off two inches. Four hours after my initial appointment time she presented me with the bill, which was TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS more than we initially discussed. She may have the skills, but the lack of professionalism floored me and I will be going elsewhere. Read Less

This place in downtown Dover is the one for you f you want good hair & such.  I got to the place & the hair stylist got me for a short hair cut which I called for.  Lady was nice & talkative & when the hair was cut got me a shampoo.  Price was maybe a bit higher than the place I go but least it was worth it. Love this salon!!! If you're looking for stylists who LISTEN, you'll find it here. I went one my first visit last week with Loretta after purchasing the Groupon for the highlight, cut, and style. She was amazing, really took the time to listen to what I wanted & my concerns. She gave a great consult and gave me options and really made sure I understood what would work best for me. I loved my results and she really took her time with everything from the consult to the cut to the styling. She fixed my uneven cut and made me feel fabulous! I booked another appointment for an eyebrow wax before I left. I had Ingrid today and she did a great job shaping them and really took her time. I have extremely sensitive skin and my swelling and redness cleared up within half an hour!! (Which usually takes 1-2 hours) Definitely worth it if you're looking for a new salon! Read Less

Ingrid is absolutely amazing!!! she is also one of the nicest and sweetest people. She makes you feel comfortable and does exactly what you ask for. She is amazing with hair coloring. She died my hair for the first time and I am absolutely in love. My hair is also really hard to manage because it is curly and frizzy but she worked with it so well. I visited Catherine Richardson, and I don't think I've ever had any brow stylist put such exquisite attention on want I wanted my brows to look like. She listened actively to what I wanted, went slow, and told me exactly what she was doing step by step! Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. For the sake of this not happening again and Loretta taking responsibility for her actions here is my HONEST review! Upon walking in I was greeted by Loretta who sat me at the "bar" and explained the process of what she was going to do to my hair to start working on getting to a light  balayage. I did not expect to go from brown to platinum in 1 sitting. I've had this done before and know how the process works. While sounding knowledgable I knew once she applied black dye to my brown roots that this was likely not going to have the results I had hoped for. (The black dye also stained my forehead and hairline for a week because it was applied so messily and she couldn't be bothered to clean it up). Once the dye was on my roots she hastily and messily applied bleach to my strands just below where the roots were being darkened. The final result? Black roots and an uneven bleach job. The cut..... My long hair was butchered into mullet layers (this confirmed by the stylist who took on the task of fixing my hair a week later without my ever having mentioned the condition of the cut. She screamed "you have a mullet!" once I was in her chair. After being rinsed and dried Loretta acknowledge that she "wasn't happy" with the outcome and offered to fix it to which I agreed because I hadn't yet seen the extent of damage to my hair but not before blaming me by saying I "must have used box dye prior to seeing her" (I did not and have not since high school in the 90's) She never showed me the back, just the sides under some low light so it didn't appear to be that bad. However on my drive home when running my hands through my hair I discovered the back neckline was still SATURATED in dye/bleach (and has since broken off) and further inspecting the back with a mirror and lights upon my arrival home I was left in tears and immediately began my search for an actual high end salon that would agree to take on the task of fixing the mess that Loretta had left me in. I cried for a week and refused to leave my house because my hair was THAT BAD. I contacted Loretta and let her know I would not be returning for her to fix it because I was so unhappy and didn't trust the results and was promised a refund which was never delivered. I've since had to dispute the charge with my bank (which thanks to her message promising a refund) will be approved. Here are some other notable things worth mentioning- the shelves are covered in hair and dust. Not just a days worth. I touched it with my finger in passing and it was thick DUST. While getting my hair done Ingrid was seeing another client and discussing how she had been reviewing balayage YouTube tutorials and was working on perfecting it as a "trial and error process" (UMM WHAT?!) the alcohol bottles behind the "bar" are capped with tin foil - which is why I turned down an offer for a drink. This woman now has my card info which she requested to process a refund and then proceeded to ignore my messages asking for an update for the next 2 days to follow. If able I will post photo proof of the damage she's done to my hair in the comments. PLEASE PLEASE save your hair and your tears and go to a reputable salon who doesn't bribe you with free samples upon leaving to leave them a good review. Let me add, that it was only AFTER I left an HONEST review with photos (which were deleted rather quickly) that she replied and pretended as if she didn't get my messages "they went to spam" immediately after responding to her message apparently. As someone who has admin privileges to my work's Facebook pages I know this isn't the case once you've corresponded with someone - they don't suddenly get sent to the spam folder. And of course, instead of making right of the situation and refunding she left me know she will resolve through the bank..... And also again blamed ME for her ruining my hair. Read Less
