My daughter spent an hour and 20 minutes here to get an awful set of nails done. They were thick and wide and looked awful. When I called to talk to the staff, they were rude and disrespectful and told me I couldn’t get a refund. Then after talking to 3 people i finally got a refund.Also were rude and a poor excuse for a business! I've been to this nail salon several times hoping for a different experience because of the wonderful reviews everyone seems to give about them, and I've literally been disappointed every single time. I've been yelled at because I said I wanted a manicure and didn't tell the guy first that I wanted acrylics (even though it was pretty obvious since I already had them and I said I needed a fill). They've been really rough with my hands causing me to bleed. I went in with my da...ughter and said I wanted a kids mani/pedi and repeated "kids" four times but they still charged me full price. Then this time I went in and just got a regular manicure, not acrylic, since I spent 6 months growing my nails out to fix that damage, and apparently a regular manicure now costs $10 MORE than a full set? They post their prices, but when you get to the register, they make up their own prices and then stare at you waiting for their tip. It's a nightmare going there, I'm done. Terrible quality!!! Got a gel manicure that lasted less than a week!!! The paint crakced/stained to a dirt color almost immediately after getting them done.. (1-2 days later) called them back to get them fixed they said they were closed during the snow storm even though I was at Walmart & there sign said open. If I could give it negative stars I would. I called them before my appointment with 2 other Friends they said that it would be 80 dollars all together well when we get there they tell us that it will be 120 so we asked why and they said that gel nail polish is more so we brought up the fact that he had said it was 80. The man said that never happened so we continue mad about what just happened. Then they messed up the shape and i even showed them. I had a mani today. The guy who worked on my nails cut me twice with the nail clipper. Then, after I left the salon and had a shower, one of my nails peeled off. I drove all the way back and a woman fixed my nail. It was kinda dark and I did not notice the difference, but the color was different. Then, later in the evening (it's all the same day) my second nail peeled off! They freaking painted on the skin, of course it's going to peel off! Now I ended up with one unpainted nail, another one is different color, and overall the mani is crappy. Defenetley not coming back, very disappointed. Save your time, money and nerve, don't go there. By far the worst acrylics I've ever gotten. I asked for a completely different shape several times and eventually gave up. I went in wanting a full color and was talked into pink and white. Everything started off fine, until I noticed 4 nails were messed up and asked the technician to fix them, after I had already paid, she was annoyed with me and rushed through fixing them and had to keep drilling the top layer off, I was there for almost 2 hours and still one of my nails looks like shit! Rude staff, they do not appreciate their customers at all. After going here for many years I'll be going elsewhere. I got sick of dreading calling to make an appointment. Called twice this week to make an appointment with the only girl there that really good and so nice. (Julie) I’ve been a customer for over 3 years. I went here with my daughter (6 years old) for mani/pedis and was very disappointed. They were busy when we arrived so we had to wait for a technician to become available. Not a problem however they started on me first and made my daughter wait 15 minutes. I wish they had done her first or at least given her some water in the tub so her feet could soak while she waited. They basically ignored her. Fast forward to the end of the appointment and I paid by credit card and w...as given a very hard time about not having cash for the tip. There were signs everywhere saying "gratuity in cash is appreciated". Appreciated, not required. They asked how much I wanted to tip and I said $19. Then the woman said " you make an even $20?" Really?? I've never had someone try to negotiate with me on a tip! It's been 3 days since we were there and 2 of my nails have already chipped. I really love the two men that I have seen at precious nails. They always do a great job and the prices are pretty fair. But the woman who answers the phone and is often at the front is very rude and doesn't speak good English and is hard to understand. Here's the deal..   they do a great job of you find the right person.  One of them literally digs her nails into your nail beds to clear out the polish. It hurts like crazy.   She digs  her nails in even when she's putting on lotion.  Awful!The men..   they stand over you to pick a color.  They rush us.  It makes the relaxing experience so uneasy.   There is one guy who does only pedicures and he's the best!  They refuse to let people sit together during a manicure.  They say "no."I'm so tired of going into these places and feeling as if they're doing me a favor.   I have spent hundreds in this place, I have referred  many people.  But after our last visit, I'm going  to find a new place.  No one smiles..  no one say thank you or please.   They all seem miserable and angry. Very rude staff. I brought my daughters here for a group manicure. We were immediately pressured to upgrade to a more expensive treatment. I said "no thank you". She pressured more and asked me why I would not want it. I was forced to be uncomfortably firm with her in front of my daughters with another "I said, no thank you". She then took attitude with me and sat us at the farthest apart chairs she could. One daughter in a far corner, one in the center, and me at the other corner. I felt like we were being punished. She pointed to the chairs and just yelled, "You sit down".  No more smiles. She then stood in the doorway of a back room and yelled in her native language at someone who was to come and do my manicure. This person yelled back. They had a few exchanges and I began to feel as though, I was interrupting someone's break or something. I definitely did not feel welcome. I cancelled my own manicure. Watched my children get theirs, paid, and left a $5 tip per manicure. No "thank you please come again", nothing. The nail salon is always super clean every time I go. I have gotten the deluxe pedicure a few times and it is great. I also got a gel manicure this time as well.  my nail tech was friendly, did a super awesome job and painted really cute designs on my feet and hands. I will defiantly be back. It was my first visit and probably will be my last. Went for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. They started with the pedicure, which was good. Once it got to the manicure it all went down hill from there. The finished product just looks so amateur. Bubbles are in the shellac, the polish doesn't look like a smooth coat, and after paying $85 I would definitely expect a lot better. Read Less

Tried this place once for mani-pedis for me and my daughter.  We won't return.  While the shop is new and appears clean, the service was abrupt and anything but relaxing. The lady who did my manicure absolutely butchered my cuticles, and one bled for the entire day.  Two weeks later, I am still nursing my nails and cuticles back to health.  My daughter's nails were painted with a color that was different than the one she chose, and she was too intimidated to say anything at the time.  Since the gel manicure chipped off within two days, she didn't have to live with the gaudy color for long.  My gel manicure also chipped badly within a couple days.  Sad since we dished out $150 for their services. I have been to many nail salons from Mass to Maine.  I now Live in Derry and have visited a few.   By far Precious nails salon is the best one. I would never go any where else.  I usually get the diamond pedicure and Gel nails and they always give me the best pedicure and manicure I've ever had.   Not to mention their customer service is outstanding!   If you need a good mani and pedi I strongly suggest you try Precious nails.  Thanks to Paul and his aunt I am one happy lady today. They give a decent pedicure. This was my second time coming here and I was much happier with my first experience.The woman at the front desk is rude and dismissive. If you get the general pedicure don't expect a foot massage.I thought I was happy with how everything came out until I left and looked closer. I went in asking for a gel manicure and a pedi. Not once did my technician ask me what shape I wanted for my nails and she just chose the shape herself. I get gel- manicure and pedicures all the time and never have I once paid that much money. By the time I got half way home I called them and told them how unhappy I was with my experience. My nails looked like they had been done by a 3 year old, it was very sloppy and my nails were uneven. I told them I did not have time to have them re-do my whole entire nails and toes nor did I want their services any longer. I requested that all I wanted was my money back. So I headed back the manager tried to escort me over to a chair, and I told her "no, I told you I do not have time to get them re-done, all I want is my money back. she tells me that it is against her company policy to give my money back. Unfortunately I need to write a review about this nail salon for a few reasons. First, I have never in my life, even at high end nail salons, paid $180 without a tip for 2 pedicures, one basic mani, & a fill. Outrageous. Second, when you're questioned why it's so high and you hide the receipt from me after asking to see it....that's also a problem. Third....if you're going to charge me half my paycheck, that nail polish better stay on alot longer than a few days without chipping (it didn't)  I ended up getting the fill and polished fixed a week later for ALOT less and it stayed on almost a month. I changed places for convenience and started going to Precious nails. After making my nails much to thick I went back and they blamed the glitter polish I chose. They refused to fix them without charging me more money. This is after spending alot of $$ over the past couple months.  I went back to my previous salon a few minutes later and was told it wasn't the polish at all and the nail tech had used way to much powder on nails and she filed away a ton of power. What an awful experience at Precious Nails.  I'm definately not going back ythere. After referring many friends to them they refuse to fix the issue without charging me again. They are not at all friendly and my friend said another customer asked to have her nail repaired while she was there and they again blamed the polish.  My friend told met that she is extremely happy with Gelous Nails in Derry and they do an awesome job.  I have also had great luck with Happy Nails and Ann is awesome! So, I've been here twice. The first time I got a full set $45. Started chipping after a week . three weeks later I came back for a fill and the technician whose name I will not mention, refused to do anything the way I had asked. I didn't want length off, and i wanted them squared . Well she filed them down and rounded them a tad because "she liked the more natural look" oh and did I mention my nails are all crooked almost as if she doesn't know how to file nails ? Anyway , I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said she could absolutely do that because she's been doing nails for 17 years . yea seems it. So I wanted faded glitter over black she kept pushing gel nailpolish on me so I just said okay. She put the glitter under the black nail polish and when I questioned her strange critique , she once again told me how professional she is and that the glitter underneath will keep the gel on longer. After she put the black on top of the glitter she told me she couldn't do the design I had wanted . so I just said "do whatever design you want its okay" trying to keep my patience as I was about to be paying 35$ plus tip for a fill and color I didn't even get the way I wanted . after I had left I was so embarrassed my nails were bumpy, you can literally see the glitter texture under the black . did I mention this woman kept pushing her business card on me and told me I had to ask for her nextvtime cause she is here 7 days a week and does so good ? Okay sure that's why im writing this . my last words are that clearly glitter under gel polish doesn't make it last longer because my nails are already peeling so that was a huge waste of 43$ Read Less

This is your run of the mill nail salon. There really isn't much special about this place other than the copious amounts of space and it's super, super clean. I came here for a pedicure and a manicure on a Friday night after calling 10 minute prior. They took me in right away and had me soak in a pedicure chair. The water was cold! I don't know if it was this particular chair but the woman put her wrist under the water and felt it as it filled up so she knew the temperature. I told her it was a bit cold and she didn't seem to speak English at all because she ignored me. She did a pretty ok pedicure, scrubbed my feet well and it didn't feel rushed. She took a few phone calls while she did my pedicure and manicure, which I thought was unprofessional. They used nice hot towels to wrap my legs. All the tools were wrapped for one time use, which was great and the pedicure bowl had a removable plastic insert which was awesome! The  manicure was just ok. I had asked if she could shape them more square but she rounded them. After a day, they started chipping. It ended up coming to $45 total. Read Less

I first found Precious Nails after doing a bunch of searching for places while visiting family nearby. After looking through reviews, I thought I'd give it a shot -- and I wasn't disappointed. I've received gel/shellac manicure services as well as regular pedicure services here and both were great experiences. They are very nice (some are chattier than others) and I've never felt rushed in or out. They do look for the up-sell while you're there, suggesting additional services, but I've just politely declined and never felt pressured. Additionally, they have A LOT of manicure benches and pedicure chairs, and the space, tools, practices, etc. have always been clean. My gels last and, while each nail tech's technique has been a bit different, I have always been happy with my nails. This is also the first salon I've been to that works exclusively (I think) with the Gelish brand (I've always has OPI or Essie gels) and I'm impressed with the brand -- great colors and quality. Got a little lost on my way there, but found the place within a few minutes. They take walk-ins, there was no wait. The place was nice and clean, it didn't smell like Acetone like many nail salons do which was a plus. I got a standard manicure, the man who did it was very kind, friendly. He did not use a drill but I think that if he had and I objected he would not have without question or issue. Reasonable rates. Many colors to choose from. My only concern was there was a tween girl there getting her nails done and in the background there was a movie with pretty inappropriate language in it that I wouldn't want my daughter listening to at that age.
