Had great experience at this salon starting from the quality of the services provided and finishing with great atmosphere. Their customer service is amazing. They go out of their way to make you comfortable, hydrated and entertained. I had hair-cut, color, manicure& pedicure and facial waxing done. Valorie Hazley (the owner) was very detailed with my hair-cut, color and design of my eyebrows. She pays attention to everything you say and makes sure to deliver it just right. She is also very creative and gave really good ideas on how to maximize the volume of my hair without cutting the top layer. Karissa Martindale did my mani&pedi and she was great as well. I had long nails and some of them broke very deeply, she did a really good job at making everything look nice and professional for my next day interview. Val is amazing! Brunettes should come here because she can make sure your highlights look natural and your color stays a rich chocolate instead of meandering towards blonde after 2-3 visits. I have been getting my hair done with Valorie for quite a few years and I have always been very happy with the results. I am trying to grow out my hair and she is always very good about not cutting too much off. But, I would have to say that coloring is her strong point. I always trust her judgement with trying new color or highlights. She is also always up to date on the latest styles, treatments, and products. The atmosphere is very contemporary and relaxing. What a gem of a find!  A girlfriend and I were in Tahoe for this past NYE weekend and we were desperate for a manicure (me) and pedicure (her).  From the moment the phone was answered to the time we walked out the door the experience was amazing!This is a very special, modern, professional salon.  If you're looking for a line of pedicure chairs with people barking at you to pick a color you'll be sorely disappointed.  A pedicure here is classy with a copper tub to soak your feet in, aromatherapy all around you and a super friendly staff.  We were offered a glass of wine and as Valorie said, "we might as well finish off the bottle"! If I could rate 10 stars, I would!My hair is naturally black but is currently champagne blond.  I had a wedding to go to 5 days after my hair appointment so I went to my regular stylist (who originally gave me my beautiful blond the first time around) just to get a ROOT TOUCH UP. After bleaching my roots and toning MY WHOLE HEAD OF HAIR 3 times for whatever reason, I left 3 hours later with ashy-brown grayish hair and yellow-golden roots.  I left the salon as quickly as I could (without paying, needless to say) and went on a search for a salon where the stylists actually knew what they were doing.  It was so horrendous that I felt like crying... and I seriously don't cry... for ANYTHING.  It was so bad that I was considering shaving my hair off but thank god I didn't because I found this uber awesome salon!Let me start off by saying that I left many messages for other salons because they weren't picking up their business lines on a MONDAY afternoon... but that's just kind of how it is in South Lake Tahoe... people work when they feel like it.  I'm actually really happy that V'z was only the salon that answered their phone.  They had EXTREMELY GREAT customer service... from making an appointment over the phone, to consulting a color correction, to the service being provided, it was the BEST salon experience I have EVER had.  And this is coming from a city girl who used to live in San Francisco.  I have experienced upscale salons all over the bay area and have paid over $100 for a hair cut.  Never would I have thought the best salon would be tucked away in the mountains.  I met Valorie (who is the owner) and Rachelle (stylist) the day before they fixed my hair.  They were both very attentive, sympathetic to my dilemma, educated in their field, informative, and very passionate about what they do.  After my disaster at the other salon I was very wary about anyone else touching my hair but my whole experience with them, prior to my hair appointment, eased my concerns because I could tell they knew what they were doing.  The next day Rachelle, Valorie, and Jenn (another stylist) all worked amazingly as a team on my hair.  They're a wonderful team together and not to mention, very personable, amusing, and entertaining.  I can't tell you how many times I laughed while I was there :)  It took many hours to correct but it was all worth it!  I was able to go to the wedding without wearing a wig! Blonds beware!!!  Really cute place.  Love the decoration.  The first time I had my hair done here the style and cut were awesome.My boyfriend was impressed.  The second time my color was pretty mediocre- getting a natural looking blond is apparently not their speciality - even after a toner it still had a lot of yellow undertones. The chemical line they use smelled so awful that even after a wash and condition I was still getting sick from the smell the next day and my scalp felt really irritated.  They are very nice, but inconsistent, and they charge a little more then most of the places in town.  If you want natural-looking blond I would head to elsewhere.  This is more of 40 years and up place.Update:  Its been four days and I can still smell the chemicals when I wash my hair - people have noticed the color change- comments from random male co- workers include - uh did you color your hair?  - not really the kind of comments I want to hear. I've been getting my haircut by Valerie for years and finally she has her own salon.  She's done a amazing job designing this hip, trendy salon, with all the modern bells and whistles.  From the ultra modern hair washing stations complete with reclining leg rests, to the cool/hip music, Valerie and her team nailed a salon that makes you feel like you're being pampered.  She has a menu of services for men, women, and children, and is a top choice for weddings and special occasions.  I love how she thinks outside of the box with her offerings, like a cranial relaxing head massage for $20.  This is a perfect way to relax and unwind during any stressful time.   Her prices are reasonable, and staff educated on all the latest styles and techniques.
