I came here because of the glowing reviews but did not have a great experience. I had an appointment at 5 for a regular pedicure and had to wait until 5:30 until a nail technician was ready for me. Everyone was very sweet. However, my nails look terrible. She did not put my flip flops on before painting my nails or use toe separators, so she chipped the polish on three of my nails immediately after painting them. She sort of fixed them by putting another coat but they look clumpy and streaky. It was only $25, but I could have done a better job painting them myself. I probably wouldn't come back to this nail salon because it took 90 minutes for a regular pedicure and I expect my nails to look good when I'm done. Read Less

Went in on Memorial Day to get my nails done. I chose this one over all the others because of the ratings and reviews and because it was the only shop open due to the holiday. The lady there (the owner) was extremely sweet, thorough, and was a true artist. I decided I wanted to do a new trend called ombré nails. We went with a very natural look using pink and soft white at the tips. I would highly recommend this place and it was very reasonably priced. I spent $45 in total. Read Less

I love this place! Today was my first visit, and I decided to treat myself to a pedicure as well as a full gel set. I'm not very creative, and I never know what I want, I just know what colors I like. She said, "no problem!" And surprised me, and I'm in love! What a nice hidden little surprise! Vien and Anh make a great team--I gave them a design idea and they brought it to life. Plus, Anh was very meticulous with my soak off and manicure and didn't rush even though it was almost closing time. :) Icing on the cake: the price! Only $28 for soak off, gel mani and nail art! Small shop but clean inside. Vanda seems very sweet and very detail oriented with my nails for a last minute pre-wedding pedicure. There's a decent selection of nail colors and 3 massage chair stations for the pedicure and 3 manicure stations. A nice little shop in Reno with fair prices! Read Less

Its a pretty small shop but i love what Ann did to my nails! She is very meticulous and she did it really good. Small shop, yes, but they do GREAT work. I was in Reno for a few days and decided to look for a mani-pedi before heading home. Vanda Nails was able to fit me in with no appointment and did a wonderful job on my toes and fingers. Newly residing in Reno, my nails were well aware of the 2.5 weeks since I had left DC. I was looking for a place with a certain feel to it, and Vanda nailed it (I wrote that not even trying to be punny). I don't like nail salons that feel like spas. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer that the cost of my nails is less than my rent, and I don't want to feel like I'm paying for all the glitz and glamour rather than for an excellent manicure. With that said, if you're looking for glitz and glamour, look elsewhere. Located in a small strip mall, it's a tiny little building, with only three chairs. There was a bit of a wait (as you can imagine), but nothing unreasonable (and, I should have made an appointment). What can I say, I like to be unexpected.A pedicure and gel manicure were on the docket for the day, and I really appreciate the way she has you pick your gel nail color--it's much easier than looking at all of the different bottles. She did an excellent job, and I was super impressed with the price.While I only got paint, I did overhear the other manicurist mention that they were also able to do waxing (eyebrows are happy about that, but I can't review the quality).I'm skipping the next session due to travel plans, but I'm glad I won't have to spend my whole life looking for a new nail home. My one complaint: Because the gel and regular polish come in different bottles, you have to match them if you want them to be the same color. While the colors I have are *similar,* they aren't the same and it makes me a little crazy. Will hope to improve this next time. Read Less

I've been going to this place for the last five+ years. They are so reasonably priced compared to other places. They do take a long time to get a set or fill but it's worth the wait because they always come out perfect. Vien is a perfectionist but my nails show true talent and expertise. This wouldn't have been my first choice to have gotten a pedicure, but it was by Element Tan and on my way home so I just pulled into the first strip mall I saw and figured that there would be a nail salon (there was). Yes, very small shop. 3 spa chairs, 2 manicure areas, and 2 workers. Anya is pretty spot on with some things especially the nail polish. There are some OPI bottles there but a lot were old when I went to open them. I usually bring my own polish though (still, it's nice to know you have other options). The spa pedicure is $25 which includes a callus treatment and short massage. Price seems to be accurate for similar places in Reno. I had the mom doing my feet and she took her time and did a good job. They take credit card. -1 due to no ambiance and because the nail polish selection wasn't very good. Oh I asked about gel If you just want them to put gel on you with no manicure it's $20 which seems alright. Read Less

There are 3 spa chairs and 2 workers on a Saturday afternoon so pretty small establishment.  Thankfully they weren't busy. Pros: - No wait on a Saturday afternoon- Current People magazines to browse through - Decent selection of OPI and China Glaze polish even though a lot of them looked old :/ - Took a good amount of time on my hands and toesNegative: - Massage was pretty weak - just wasn't enough pressure - Polish bottles were half empty - Pricing.  Considering its Reno and there was no ambiance in the place I would have expected a Mani/Pedi to be $30 Pricing Breakdown: - Mani- $15 (should have been $10) - Pedi- $30 (this is about right in a spa chair) - Combo - $38 ($2 discount) - Tipping- $6 (for 2 people) TOTAL:  $44 (way too pricey) Read Less
