It's my 1st time to see Joanne for microblading and I must say she is "The Best" I hardly write reviews for anything or anyone but I want to spread the word how good her work, very professional and sweet. I am so loving my eyebrows now because of her. About 15 years ago I had a tattoo done on my eyebrows and never get to retouch and over the years it faded so I always put some eyebrow pencil everyday and we go swimming a lot but I can never wet my face because it will come o…ff, so it's been a hassle for me. I lived with this for so long and finally some friends and co workers had their eyebrows done by her and right away I told myself I need to see her. I called on a Wednesday and she had 1 spot open the next day which she said she was booked after that day we did it, I was so lucky to get in right away with her busy schedule. I am so glad I met her because she is super nice, and down to earth, I feel like I've known her for so long how we talk and stuff. Her work on my eyebrows were amazing despite of I had previous procedure done and she still pull it off and made me super satisfied and pretty I do recommend her to all of the ladies who wants this done because she is the best in town and super affordable too. I never thought that it will look amazing like this ever, but she did it, it look PERFECT!! 3 times I have made an appointment and have come in to wait over 30 minutes and eventually leave.  I was a long time regular, but will not be returning.  There last excuse was that a customer was late and it was a "snowball" effect.  Well I only made the appointment an hour earlier, so this is clearly untrue.  If their policy is to cram in any walk in they should at LEAST call you and let you know they are running way behind. Decided to try Foxy Nails after not going for 5+ years, should have stayed away!  They cut my nails way to short, horrible filing .... first time in 20+ years of getting manicures every other week I had to leave in middle of manicure!  Avoid this place you get better technician from a person right out of beauty school! Sadly, I had the worst pedicure experience today. When I first went back it was a lady getting everything ready.  It started with the water to soak my feet in being hot enough to boil an egg.  When I mentioned that, they switched people and gave me the "new" guy, who was being coached by the lady next to us.  I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't even have a license to be doing nails.... is that even legal?  I never even got to soak my feet, he had a hard time cutting my nails, and he put the oil to soften your feet all over my legs.  That's when they switched people again.  Then the next guy took over and drew blood while cutting my cuticles. . He was a better than the first guy. My feet look worse then when I started.  I have always had such great experiences here in the past but after today's experience, I'm not sure I'll go back again. I LOVE FOXY NAILS! My mom started coming here before me and seeing Joanne for her acrylic manicures and fills. She always does a professional, beautiful job.I personally love Nick. I'm a little bit more boring and go for the standard manicure they offer. He has a great sense of humor and makes the experience fun. Not to mention he gives a killer massage that's worth the money itself.Although those are the favorites for my mom and I, any manicurist you get will do exactly what you want and leave you satisfied with your experience.They are very clean (which is what I always look for first), the staff wears uniforms, and they always have good music playing. I've been going there since they opened, and I can not recommend them enough. Very friendly and accommodating! I called in on a Saturday afternoon to see if they could fit me in and welcomed me to come right away! I got a basic gel pedicure and a fill. Not very impressed and won't be returning. The atmosphere was great and the staff is nice but I paid $60 for something i really didn't want. I can in with a variety of photos I'd liked. I didn't even what it to be exact just to show ideas of what I liked. I was told I could only get solid colors. I don't want solid colors, I'd paint them myself if that was the case... So I talk the lady into doing a design on my ring fingers. She tells me only the ring fingers, not all. Um, ok. If I hadn't waited there an hour and didn't have my boyfriend and family friends waiting to go to dinner once I got back, I would have went elsewhere. So she finishes and it's okay, but once I walked out I really looked at them and to me it looks like my nails have grown out. Ever my boyfriend was disappointed in them. :/ Read Less

There's a nail salon on every corner, right?  Let me tell you - this is not those places.  They have a huge amount of regulars and there's a reason for that.  Higher quality products, long term, consistent, friendly staff, complimentary beer or wine with your pedi, sugar scrub, hot towel wraps, reflexology massage - all at a bargain price of $35 for the deluxe pedi!  You pay $95 for the same at the spa.  Here's another thing:  I know the owner - she cares.  She's been there for 14 years and her main concern is the customer experience.  She continues to look for ways to improve and has recently added eyelash extensions to her existing offerings of all nail care, facials and waxing.  Same prices as all the run-of-the-mill nail places but a much better experience!(Worth the drive to South Reno). Foxy nails was recommended by a friend for their amazing pedicure massages. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint!! I was practically drooling by the end of my pedicure. For some reason it's becoming more and more difficult to find a nail salon that caters to exactly what customers go there for-relaxation. They were prompt and even attended us before our scheduled appointment. The massage chairs were comfortable and every technician was wearing gloves. The atmosphere is comforting and classy compared to other salons in Reno. There is ambient music playing and the tv is muted so you are able to actually relax if you want to. The technicians even wear uniforms which adds to the overall appeal. The only downside and the reason for the 4 star rating is that there is a pet grooming business next door. The dogs can get loud, which can be distracting but the technician made a hilarious joke about it so it put everyone in a good mood. 100% recommend! Read Less
