I got a pretty rough hair cut here that wasn't what I asked for. The stylist said she would fix it the next day if I was still unhappy, and when I called back to make my appointment to have it fixed, she was unapologetic and rude. I decided to go elsewhere and pay for a whole new haircut because I didn't want someone who was upset with me cutting my hair again. Cynette has been doing my pedicures and hard gel here in Incline and I love her work and knowledge of what she does. My pedicures and nail fills last much longer than other places I have been over the years. Her professionalism would be hard to match. At Rapture I also get my hair done by Brianna and again another reason for my 5 star rating.  Brianna is also very knowledgeable with color and Keratin treatments.  This is a great find! Read Less

Tourist prices - as a local I prefer to drive to Reno and pay 1/2 prices or drive to Truckee and get a higher end salon. The salon wasn't very clean nor were the people cheery. If you have acrylics, run away. Quickly.I had a fill with the owner who spent the entire appointment criticizing the work of my home nail tech, complaining about her current/former employees, and texting.The result was the worst set of acrylics I've ever gotten. Three nails lifted, all were terribly lumpy and uneven.It was a year ago. I haven't been back. Who wants to spend time getting their nails done only to listen to someone complain the whole time? This place is the absolute best!!!!  Highly recommended.  Very knowledge, caring and informed staff.  You have a lifetime customer in me!!  This place is great!I am shocked by the person who claimed Rapture Salon to be expensive!!   As a Bay Area transplant, I find this review amusing.  Rapture Nails only employs LICENSED staff members and they practice hygienic protocols.  Yes, definitely in Reno and the Bay Area, one can get a less expensive service.   Do all those folks have licenses?  Who knows.  One can suspect.  You get what you pay for in life folks.  I am happy to not pay cheap Bay Area/Reno prices and potentially get Hepatitis and need a liver transplant in 10 years.  Sorry to be so vulgar, but the truth is the truth. Very expensive. I'd rather drive to Carson or Reno.  I've used them twice and both times the owner is in the middle of having problems with her neighboring shop owners. I should have walked both times, certainly the second time, there won't be a third.  Don't think my pedicure was terrific and for $50 + tip it should be. Read Less

First, they answered my phone call and had an opening that day!I wanted a basic acrylic nail fill. Cynette was experienced and my nails look fabulous, natural. Had a nice pedicure yesterday, but shellac mani from a different person was not good. They don't have name tags so I am not sure her name. I had a darker color on before, and can see traces of old polish on most of my nails and they are rough enough on the ends that I had to file them at home myself. The atmosphere is not much to speak of. When I got there there were kids running around the salon. Not exactly a relaxing experience.They must have increased their prices for the summer, or overall from what previous reviewer's are saying is reasonable pricing. $85 for regular pedi and gel mani is on the high end of what I am willing to pay. I prefer Soak in Reno for the price (and atmosphere is better, and you at least get a hand massage), but I live up here so wanted to try it out. 4* for pedi, 1* mani, so overall experience 2*.  I will not come here again. The Sunday staff was clearly not interested in being there especially the young girl at the desk who was borderline rude. My pedicure was was done by a polite young lady and I wondered whether she had ever done a pedicure before. She cut corners and was not experienced enough to know what she was doing. Really impressed to see 4.5 stars after the shitty service I got. I was spending the weekend nearby and after reading the reviews here I went there for mani and pedi and what a regret!!! Obviously I didn't had the same person all of you are talking about. Instead I got a very inexperienced person that barely knew what she was doing. Nice person? Sure. But that doesn't mean you know what you're doing professionally. If I was the owner I'd get a mani and pedi before hire someone. Paid $50 for the most horrible service ever in life! I had Heather as my hair dresser. I have long curly hair so getting it straightened is always a special thing. She did a great job and finished quickly! If I lived in Incline I would definitely make this my home salon! Heather also did a great job on my pedicure. It was very relaxing.  OH and did I mention I had my 5 week old with me the whole time! I guess I am spoiled! Where I live (Walnut Creek, CA) they massage your feet for a good while with the pedicure and also cheaper (about $35). Maybe that's just not the norm here in Lake Tahoe. But am happy with the finish product but I think I'll stick to getting pedicures back home. Read Less

Rapture Salon was one of the best salons that I had ever been to. My sister got married in Tahoe so the day before her and all the bridesmaids went to get our nails done, and the service was excellent!! The ladies worked quickly to get us in and out and were very friendly and talkative. My gel nails turned out beautiful. I definitely recommend them for all your salon needs! :) Read Less
