I give them a 2 because the place was clean, lady who signed me in was very nice. The lady who did my nails was a total different story. Rude and downgrading. I wanted white tips. My nails are thick and pointer finger is longer than others. When I tried to tip her , she says “No, you don’t have to”. Came in last minute for a full set at about 1030 this morning. They sat me right down and Kim got to work. There was three girls working on the floor. The owner was very friendly and kept conversation. You can tell they have a ton of regulars which is always a nice thing. I was VERY happy to see the multiple color options they have, including glitter nails ($40 for a full set).They have a number of different priced pedicure options that I'll certainly be back for. I give here two start just because of one lady who works there name Sunday. She is really rude,mean and doesn't know how to respect clients. Don't waste your time and your money with her. I was an out of town visitor in desperate need of a fill. I took a risk and made an appointment. I was immediately greeted and told to select my color. My appointment started on time with Cindy. She was lovely and did a beautiful job. I couldn't be happier with the quality!  Cindy was delightful. Two friends were with me and received pedicures. They were equally satisfied. So here we go......1: there really is no place to sit and wait. They have one metal fold chain which is cramped and by the front entrance. 2. The ladies are extremely nice and over use words like, "baby" or "honey". It's interesting to say the least. Lol! "Hi baby! Go pick you color" or "honey, what do you want today? Pedicure?"3. They're pretty fast and getting you in if you're there for a pedi. I haven't had experience with getting my nails done. I've come here a couple of times for a pedi and mani (simple nail color). It's $35 for both so you end up saving a whole 2 bucks! Lol! 4. The chairs need to desperately be updated. They're stained with white stuff which was gross to look at. I'm sure it's not what any of us are thinking. It has to be dried nail polish remover or something....right????5. The nail tech that was working on the lady next to me scrubbed her customers foot (which the foot had so much gunk coming from the bottom, it was disturbing) with the loofah and then put it back in the drawer. Ummmmm, don't you have a "used" or "dirty" bin? 6. In the typical fashion of these nail salons, the techs talk in their native language to one another which I find somewhat disrespectful to the clients. 7. The pedicure was fast-probably no more than 15 minutes. I mean, isn't a pedi suppose to be relaxing and feel good? It seems the last two times I've been, the tech uses different tools to do different things. The tech I had today (Sunny) barely used any tool. I guess this is good based on comment number 5. 8. I really like one of the women who work there. She's super cool and I love that she wears what she likes. Some would judge her but I.....I think she's a badass! I won't be returning. I have been here twice now for a pedicure.  Sub-standard.  Both times my pedicure took a total of 15 min.  Not impressed with the experience overall.  The one thing I liked was the liners they use.  I won't go back.  Bummer hard to find a reasonable place in the Carson area. Read Less

I love getting my nails done with Jackie at Regal Nails on Topsy in Carson City!  She always surprises me with a new creation that she comes up with on her own!  It is fun to just let her do her thing!  Jackie with use all different things to create something special, from multi-color acrylic application to marbling if polish, stamping, hand art, glitter polish or glitter acrylic, etc.  all the gals there work hard and will collaborate with each other for fresh ideas. I enjoy my pedicures as well. They keep their equipment sterilized and they use fresh pedicure liners in their bowls every time. I highly recommend this Regal Nails center for your pampering. Terrible.  I've been here before with my daughter for pedicures.  They typically do an okay job but ALWAYS take too many people so you end up sitting around for a while.  I need a gel fill and had a pretty tight schedule so called ahead and made an appointment.  When I arrived, they had me sit in an empty station and wait.  After waiting 20 minutes I reiterated that I had an appointment and if it was a busy time I would come back when they could actually see me.  They all started screaming, that I had an appointment and that appointments get priority (I told them my name and that I had a 1:00 appt when I arrived at 12:55.)  They pulled someone off a pedicure and had her file down my nails.  She ended up pulling off all my gel and said to wait for the gentleman.  She also tried to talk me out of gel fill and to get acrylic.  I didn't want acrylic.  This pissed them off, which they're already a little full of attitude.  The gentleman ended up doing my nails, poorly. Criticized me for taking too long to pick a gel color.  Asked if "he needed to call California to order more colors since I couldn't make my mind up".  He couldn't find the color I picked.  Walked around for 5 minutes and came back with the right color number - but was totally not the color I picked.  After 2 hours of agony, I just wanted to get it over with and get out of there.  So rude, such poor service, and after all of that, 4 of 10 nails peeled withing 2 days.  Waste of $45.  Pathetic.  Will never return. So I was a walk-in for a pedicure (I get ingrown toenails, no bueno) and this was my 2nd time here.  The ladies are generally a bit sassy, but I don't mind that, it's funny.However, this time they sat me in the massage chair, got the foot bath going, and then after about 5 min an older lady came in, also a walk-in with no appointment.  For whatever weird reason I can't explain (ageism?  sexism?) she was taken care of first, while I sat there in foot soup.  I did have a following appointment, so it's not like time wasn't of the essence.  I can't complain about the sweet massage chair, but it was frankly rude to be bumped to the back of the line.First come, first served. Came in for a gel pedicure and after 2 HOURS I finally finished getting one. 1 woman will do at least 3 peoples nails all at one time which makes the process incredibly slow. Though it is cheap, the low quality and absurd amount of time are not worth it AT ALL. I would not recommend to anyone :( Read Less

Pure filth! I was asked to select my polish, the bottles were all dirty and gooey, I got polish goop all over my hands looking at the polishes. The chairs were disgusting, dirty towels everywhere. (Now wished I would have taken a picture) I was looking at sparkles and the entire rack was covered in dust and the floor had an inch thick of filth. I walked out before even being touch. The woman who did my nails (Cathy) was very nice and personable.  A word to the management though, I have never been in a nail salon that was so unkempt.  It needs a thorough cleaning and decluttering.  Most salons also put out sample of the gel polish, so that you can rely on more than the label and the residue on the bottle when making a selection of Gel nail colors. I came in with long pink stiletto shape nails and needed a fill. I asked nail tech to shorten a little and keep stiletto shape.  The tech made a mistake and took all the length and shape away and rounded my nails. Then told me I would have to wait for another nail tech to finish my nails. Im sitting here and the girls want to argue with me about the mistake the nail tech made. I was told by Jackie who previously did my nails, that a fill would be $18+$7to trim cuticle total should be $25 and the gals are now telling me they are going to charge me $30 even though the nail tech made mistake. All around nail salon is filthy.  Just seen another tech use a dirty foot file on a second customer. I have been waiting 45minutes for them to fix their mistake. Read Less

My FAVORITE place for manicures and pedicures.  My husband and I go every 3 weeks for a pedicure, and when I feel like having acrylic nails, they do a fantastic job.  I don't do gels because no matter what, or where you get them, they peel.  I predict that gels will become a thing of the past. I'm honestly surprised by some of the reviews for this place, because it's honestly the only place I would go in Carson. They have done my acrylics for years, and have even painted my daughter's nails. I've gotten pedicures, manicures, gel tips, funky designs, and the like here. They recently renewed their design, got nicer chairs, cleaned the place up a bit, and made it a bit more friendly. I love the way that it is now. Plus, I think that the staff is extremely friendly, albeit hard to understand at times. The prices aren't too ridiculous, and are about average for a good nail salon. Here's the reasons that I absolutely love this place. For one, they are willing to do my weirdo things when I want them. I mean mesh net designs, lines, funky glitter colors, and even hand done designs when I want them. I can get my nails done here, and not have to get them redone for about 3 weeks when the norm is about 2 weeks. I've also gotten my eyebrows done here, and they listen to how you want them done. Any of the staff are amazing at eyebrows, and pedicures. I've gotten little ghosts done, pumpkins, Christmas trees...and various other things.The only reason why I gave them a 4 star instead of 5 is there is one person there I've had issues with in the past. But I only go to Cindy, or the woman next to her now and they are absolutely fantastic. This place honestly feels like another home, and is a wonderful way to relax when you need it. Even though you make an appointment, I guess that doesn't mean anything.  They promptly put me in the pedicure chair, however, they made me wait there for 50 minutes before coming back around.  By then, the water was cold, and I was ticked.  I told the pedicurist that if they were running that late, they should have had the decency to let me know.  She apologized, and rushed thru the pedicure.  It definitely was a very poor experience.  Try somewhere else.  By the way, there were other customers there complaining as well.
