Miracle Nails is awful. I try to get out of the house for some personal time without the baby and I should have just stayed home. I have never received a pedicure in less than 30 minutes. The lady rushed through my pedicure and had nail polish flung all over the top of my feet. Also my nail polish also has a bunch of dents in it as it wasn't applied smoothly. This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to. They advertise on the windows that they use plastic protectors in the pedicure chairs! Not true. They don't even sanitize them between customers. Unfortunately I noticed this after I was already in the chair. The girl did not understand any English and scraped my foot so hard she made it bleed. The work is poor quality, the girl who did my nails was argumentative and did not listen to how I wanted them done. She got polish all over. What a disaster. No customer service. Terrible quality. Walked in there because my sister in law comes here. Some chubby lady start doing my nails. She start gluing then and the way she was doing it was on top of the nail, I  close my hands to see how short they were and almost all my nails fell off because she didn't glue them on right. She starts speaking her language with Annie which by the way was very polite and ask me if I can wait for her and so I did. Well the chubby lady start getting upset and tells me " you know we have been here for 9 years" like I even care. She was so damn rude. Decent prices, my fills last a long time and they are very fast. Pedicures, are not that great. Fast, there's no up sell options for a more spa like pedicure with all the fun, fancy stuff. They don't spend that much time on their pedicures and massages either. I don't care how busy they are. Every customer pays the same they should all get equal service. Read Less

Asked for a gel fills and got acrylic over my gel nails. They want their tips in cash only. It was nice to be fit in at the end of their day but you can't pass off acrylic for gel nails. I was desperate for a fill but I will not go back. Read Less

Worst service I've ever had! I asked for a simple manicure I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted she still didnt do it right then got mad when I told her no I want this showing her the picture again! She couldn't even do a simple dot pattern, my polish looked like my 2yr old daughter did it when I told the other woman Ann I was not happy with my nails she rudely said I'll fix but its gonna be more. I told her no I'm not paying you any more, she filed away the globs of gel polish on my skin she was so rude and kept rolling her eyes. Later that same night the gel polish I paid extra to have because its supposed to last 14 days and not chip came off of 3 nails!!! My wife went here today and got acrylic nails for the first time in her life. She got the best acrylic nails I have ever seen! They were super professional and were able to see her right away even though she was a walk in. She was so happy with her new nails she showed it to everyone in the salon and everyone loved them too. She's super happy with the wonderful job and is looking forward to coming back in two weeks to keep them looking nice. She has found her nail salon and we are looking forward to being loyal customers of theirs for a long time. Read Less

Came outta town and was looking for a near by place to get a pedicure with my mom.  We went right around 5:30pm on a Saturday. They advertised that they were open until 7:00pm, but when we came in they said sorry we're closed. Uhmmm why though???? Left without a pedicure or explanation. Horrible business Read Less

i recently went to them on saturday june 11th 2016. it was me my fiance and his friend. i got a mani/pedi and they each got a pedicure. first off the pedicure was maybe 10 min. they didn't massage or clean our feet at all like they should have. then they just walked away and told me to go sit down at a table. after 10 min of waiting and there was only one other person with at least 5 people working, she finally sat down. i just wanted a simple french manicure w/ gel polish. she did a terrible job. and then when i asked how much she told me $100!!!! i almost went off on her. for my mani/pedi it was $50 and for the boys their pedi was $25 each. usually a mani pedi is $35 maybe an extra $5 for gel polish and mens pedi maybe $15-20. they have terrible customer service, extremely over priced, don't do a full job and what they do sucks. i don't advise anyone to go here. THEY FILED DOWN SOAK OFF GEL NAILSGel nails are to be soaked off but the Nail tech (skinny with long hair) insisted on using electric file to remove.  I stated that I would rather soak them off.  She continued to use the electric file telling me she knew what she was doing, shaking her head at me.  In the end my nails were very rough as if if I were getting acrylic nails. She didn't even get all the original nail polish off, but was ready to start painting new.  She asked if everything was okay.  I said actually No and I showed her and another worker the damaged nails.  When I pointed this out she got very angry, started yelling at me, talking in Vietnamese to co-workers.  It was an unbelievable scene!Thank God I live out of state and never have to use this place as I am just visiting, but wanted to warn those of you around here.  I had to cut them down and start over.  Awful Read Less

I really, really tried to like this place. I get language barriers. Not a problem. We'll figure it out together. Team work!I ended up leaving in the absolute worst mood, having an event that evening and hating what should have made me feel well-manicured (get it?). I wanted to speak up throughout my visit about things that weren't quite right, but found myself unable to because, after a few times, I realized it wasn't going to do any good. I was in it for the long haul. No team work - our bad.I left with a sloppy gel polish job and multiple cuticle cuts, though I did watch who seemed to be the owner/manager do a quick and pretty acrylic job on someone. After living in Carson for only a few months I was excited that there was a nail salon just a few minutes from my house. I tried this salon on three different occasions. Once last June while we were here house hunting.  The older woman who did my pedicure smudged the polish in my big toe when putting my flip flop on. Her remedy was to apply another coat of the polish. This was not the solution as the nail became a sticky mess. The next morning I returned to the salon and waited 35 minutes for someone to re-paint my toe. I am a very patient person, but almost walked out several times but didn't because I like pretty toes and sandals. The second time I had a great basic manucure. (Different woman than #1 & #3 visit)So I tried it for a third time with horrible results on the mani and pedi, although the eyebrow wax was great.  The very nice older woman  (sorry I forgot her name) did my nails again. I like my toe nails short, but she took them down to a level that was not safe way too short. I was going to Mexico the next day and unfortunately my toes were not very pretty. The mani was OK (not gel, just regular ). The real problem is the nail polish this salon uses, beware it is old!! I choose a basic OPI red. The polish never dried properly on my toes or fingers. My nails got bubbly and almost crackly...So I returned the next day with my own OPI and had my finger nails repainted and they were still messed up. Thinking their base and top coats are old too. Wouldn't let her touch my toes as they were so sore from the major cut down. Will not return. Read Less

This was the third and last time I will be going to this place.  I walk in and the choice of nail polish is old.  They don't bother speaking English.  They laugh at people, including myself.  Although I don't know for sure what they were saying, it's just bad business to not even speak to you customers.  My nail polish didn't even last a week because it is so old.  What a waste of time and money.  Rude service! New to the area and I've been trying to find a place that's not expensive but does a good job. Realizing that on here there were not any fantastic nail places I was pretty upset. But I realized that this place was super close to my house so I decided why not. NOW let me tell you.. I did NOT realize it was miracle nails. All I saw was the huge "nails" on the front of the place. Otherwise I would've skipped and gone to the nail place at Walmart because I read the reviews on this place and definitely didn't wanna take this chance. So anyway. They charged me 40$ which is entirely TOO much. Which is annoying because I was under the impression it was only going to be 30$. The sides of my nails are a little sharp so the lady should've filled them down more. I got fake nails and well my cuticles are kind of a mess now thanks to a not very caring nail technician. My design on my ring finger isn't exactly straight or perfect triangle.. But good enough I suppose. I won't be going again. If you're looking for what I was looking for SKIP this place. I loved my nails but my pedicure was the worst I've ever had you could tell the older women doing them did not have experience and probably not even a license. I'm starting to wonder if Carson City has a bonafide nail salon in which people can sit back, relax, and not worry about being infected with some horrible feet fungi. Because......... Miracle Nails is not even deserving of the name. First thing, I know they said their pedicure spas were lined, but they weren't. Which means that there is the very gross possibility that there's leftover fungi swirling around my precious toesies. EWW!! Second, there was no massage. At all. It was like, um, extinct. Hello?? It's all part of the pampering experience!! I've not had a single pedicure in my life that didn't include a small massage with it, even if it was lacking.Third, my pedicurist did NOT use new tools for my pedi. She reused a pumice stone and she went a little overboard on clipping my nails. I came in with my nails clipped the way I like them and still she felt the need to clip more. Why? She even mentioned that they were clipped. DUH! But what does concern me is the fact that there was little attention to proper safety for the hygiene. Although, she was kind of rude so I'm really not surprised at her carelessness.Fourth, I brought in my own nail polish because I've had enough pedicures convince me that they probably didn't have the color  I wanted. So why was it so gosh darn difficult for her to paint my nails even relatively well?! The nails looked like she didn't want to even bother making them perfect and on closer inspection, there were weird layers of polish. UM? At one point I did mess up my big toe while it took an eternity to dry and instead of immediately starting over with the polish, she tried to fix it before deciding to use remover and start from scratch. Serious laziness much? I finally decided that I'm just going to have to get really good at becoming a pretzel so that I can paint my own toes.So, SIGH, I guess I am giving up on pedicures in Carson City. So, I went in here with a gf as part of our spa day. I decided on a french tip pedicure and she decided on a couple colors that she wanted the staff to test out so she can choose. They seemed very annoyed at this, as if she was inconveniencing them for wanting to know what the color was going to look like ON the nail.Right away my lady starts clipping my toenails and I say "Oh, please don't cut them short, as I want a french tip...sooo, I need a TIP left, obviously."She says "oh yeah, I know" as she proceeds to file away at my nail bed. (oww)So, I was left with short nails (she clipped the whole white of my toenail and my beds aren't that long) that have a painted tip on it way below the skin...it just looks ridiculous. My gf's color that she had done chipped today (we got them done yesterday)...We'll never come back. It was only $28 that I paid, but this is why it's worth paying $50+ for a GOOD pedi.Don't waste your time. Read Less

I went to this location twice. The first time I received ok service. However I wanted Gel nails and she used acrylic....when I questioned it I was told it was a NEW gel product that was better. I had some lumps and bumps on my nails that I had to file off but all in all it was an ok job. When I went back for a fill 4 weeks later I was told I was not allowed to change the glitter color for at least two more weeks...I said I will pay extra to have it changed now and she said no. So once again I questioned the use of powder and liquid she was using and saying it was gel. She completed my fill in less than 15 mins and they looked like crap....even more bumps and lumps than the first time....when I showed them to her she told me that I was hitting my nails as I was putting them under the UV light to cur the gel top coat and to stop doing it. That wasn't the case. I believe the top coat was so old that it would bubble no matter what. My nails looked like crap, you can see the fill line and they started lifting the next morning. I would give this location a ZERO star as well if I could and would tell you not to waste the time (15 mins for a full fill) and go somewhere where what YOU want as the customer will be taken seriously and not dismissed as to what THEY want to do. My nephew was getting married on Monday at Lake Tahoe so we made appointments for 5 of us to get pedicures and manicures on Saturday. I paid extra to have a french manicure and pedicure so did both of my sisters. The paint on my nails started to peal and chip the very next day. By the day of the wedding, 2 days later, my nails looked horrible. All of the them were chipped and disgusting. My sister, the mother of the groom, had to have her nails redone on Sunday. Her nails bubbled up, pealed and chipped off by Sunday morning. My mom's nails didn't peal but the lady who painted her nails painted as much of her cuticles as her nails. She removed her polish when she go home because it was so horrible. My niece, the sister of the groom, had her nails redone on Sunday. Four out the the five of us removed our polish after one or two days and had them redone. My other sister's polish stayed on but was not happy with the french manicure. I went to Miracle Nails today and was told if they polish your fingernails the polish will chip the next day. Your toe polish will not chip but your nail polish will chip. This is a bunch of BULL. I have polished my nails myself and the polish will last at least a week. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEY USE OLD POLISH THAT CHIPS OFF THE NEXT DAY...I PAID $40 FOR A PEDICURE BECAUSE THE MANICURE WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.I would give them ZERO Stars if I could.
