Stopped in on Saturday and was very impressed with the speed that I was able to get in for acrylics, the staff were very nice and the environment was great as well, however, the technician did not do the best job. He did not clean up my cuticle beds as most nail spas do, nor was the quality of the acrylic the best (he did not extend the paint to the bed or far side of the nail, and the polish/acrylic is slightly lumpy and uneven.) The Matte polish has already started to shine, which is something you don’t look for in a matte topcoat only two days in. Loved the environment, just wish the quality of the work was better. I got the dip powder manicure done by Tina and this was THE BEST experience I've ever had getting my nails done. Tina was SO personable, lovely, and fun to talk to. The lady doing my nails was in such a rush, I have never had a pedi done so quick. Her name was kieu i believe, she was younger with lots of make up & long fake lashes. Nice girl but the service was terrible. She barley even scrubbed my feet. I think from the time i sat down until she got done it was a total of 20 minutes and that was with her re-doing my nail polish on one toe 3 times! Unless someone tells you they are in a hurry, usually they get pedi’s done to relax not to be rushed! Very annoying and will not be back. Read Less

I Can’t even start to describe how nice the atmosphere here for me and my who never had a pedicure and actually feel very comfortable at Bamboo salon. We nearly miss the location when we drove up for a visit from a friends recommendation. We thought why not as this is a nice treat for my son who just got finished with physical therapy serivce and needed tlc and nothing can compare to my expectation because how nice the lady here taken there time for me and my son. Bamboo is the absolute best. They go out of their way to make sure you are totally happy with your service. They always offer you a drink and are usually watching Fixer Upper which honestly is right up my alley. Their basic pedi includes hot stones and fresh oranges and they have hundreds of colors of shellac and powder. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. I won’t go anywhere else. Read Less

Best nail experience I have ever had! All the workers were so sweet and nice, the facility was amazing, roomy and comfortable! They had so much attention to detail making sure my nails were the same length and that I was happy with them. This place is right by my house and I have been thinking bout going in every time I drive by. Finally did so about 2 weeks ago and again last night. Love my nails and pedicure. I'm not a girly girl but I def feel better. Rachel did my powder dip the first time and she's awesome. She's on maternity leave and recommended Kathy. Great selection of services provided and great selection of nail polish colors and brands. My friend and I ended up only having enough time for pedicures, even the basic pedicure lasted about 45min and we had no complaints at all. Massage chairs worked great, everything was clean, tools used were brand new for us, all workers had uniforms. Very professional and when we visit again we will be back!! I absolutely love this place! I travel 20 min just to come here . When there are at least 10 places within 1 mile of my house. I had high hopes for this place. After all I trust my fellow yelpers. Anyway to the review...I called right when they opened and made appointments for my mom and I for 2pm for pedicures and manicures. We arrived at 1:50 for the appointments. The manager set up the chairs and told us to sit in them - so we did expecting that we'd both start at the same time.. nope!I proceeded to sit there with my water cold for 30 minutes while my mom started right away. Not only did the manager not come over and apologize or say we will be with you, he ignored us. After a while I started my pedicure.. if I was by myself I would have walked out. I decided that they had enough of my money for the pedicure that there was no way id do the manicures with them. Sorry but sitting for 30 minutes when I had an appointment is wrong. Finally the lady doing my mom's pedicure told her to pick a color for her manicure. My mom told the lady that we didn't have time and would not be doing the manicures. The lady talked to her manager and he quickly came over as he knew he would be losing around 80$. He proceeded to argue with us that our manicures were at 3 and when we said that he didn't even come over he told us he was busy. I'm sorry but if you're a manager you need to let people know you're running behind and apologize. So bottom line, not only were they late for my appointment.. I did not like how the manager blantently didn't care. It's alright I'll review you on Yelp,  and I will tell my college friends about it, and won't be back. No worries man :) Read Less

So my first time at this location. First impression, friendly staff, clean facility, abundance of polish options. I got a deluxe pedicure and it was ok. The pedicure itself was pretty good my only gripe would be that you can't drink the wine that comes with purchasing a deluxe spa plan until AFTER they finish your nails. They have a room for individuals 21 and older to consume their beverage while your nails are drying. Seeing how I got a shellac pedicure there really wasn't any time to drink it because I had to go and my nails were already dry. I can see that they want to alleviate under age drinking (that would be my guess for the 21 or older room) but when I pay for a pedi that includes wine I want to enjoy it WHILE I'm getting my pedicure. Wish they would change that policy. It would improve the overall experience of the service. Not a deal breaker....I'll be back. If the policy still stands Ill pass on the deluxe and opt for the service below it to omit the free wine option. Read Less

My family has been coming here since its opening and they treat us like family (clearly my daughter and wife more so than me.) The prices are competitive and their shtick is the addition of a "free" glass of wine at the higher price points. I've not partake of this particular delight, nor am I an expert taster, so I can't comment on the quality aspect. But they'll always give it a soda or water, no matter the price so that's nice.My wife and daughter always do their nails here and are on a first name basis with a few of the workers. I'm a sucker for a good pedi, which they do well. And the TV's are sufficient to see from anywhere and have HGTV or DIY Network, so at least I'm not suffering through Lifetime movies while getting my toes buffed.They do get busy on the obvious days (e.g., Mothers Day, Prom, etc.) so it's good to call ahead and make an appointment. Otherwise, walk-ins are rarely waiting more than 10-15 minutes; the standard is straight to the chairs.Regarding decor, it's not as fancy as some places with fish tanks or fake Roman columns; it's clean and efficient, which is fine by me.Overall, definitely worth the time and money to head on down to Giles and I-80. Don't be fooled by the fabulous reviews, don't go here. I did a dipped nail, and the tech left powder under my nails and around the edges. Looks terrible! She was the only nail tech that was doing the dipped nails to use an electrical buffer. It hurt sooo bad!! I even told her and she didn't change over to a manual one! For my pedi, the nail tech was struggling to just paint my toes. She has to redo them and they still looked bad. I had an appointment with someone and they didn't allow us to sit together, and made me wait. If we were walk-ins, sure. But I made an appointment so I shouldn't have to wait an extended amount of time. Read Less

Call me your newest fan Bamboo!  As a long time frequent customer of a certain salon out West- I always thought I was the problem when my nails would rarely make it the full two weeks till my next fill.  After trying Bamboo once, due to location- I realized they must just be better skilled, have better supplies, or both!  My powder dip, and even acrylic fills last longer from here, and look amazing!  If you're a bit clumsy like me, try the powder dip- it's virtually indestructible!  The owner is always on sight, and the entire staff is very friendly and accommodating! I stopped in here based on the other fabulous reviews, what a mistake. I arrived around 2:40pm and signed in for a mani/pedi. There was another large group of women that had just walked in before me. However, the wait time was minimal--just enough time to pick out my polish. I was directed towards the pedicure chair and my nail tech "Kim" came over right away. She asked if I would like something to drink and offered water or coke products. They advertise a free glass of wine with a pedicure. However, the wine is only included with two of the highest price point pedicures ($35 and $45). The problem with this is that they don't ask you what kind of pedicure you want before you are offered another beverage. I opted for the $35 pedi and was never offered a glass of wine. My main purpose of getting a pedicure is for the callus treatment. I've found it difficult to find a place that actually takes the time to focus on your rough problem areas, this place is no different. The callus remover portion of the pedicure left a lot to be desired. My heels are still rough and my calluses were barely treated. The sugar scrub, orange peel, warm towels and hot stone and massage portion of the pedicure was nice, but it is really just a lot of fluff and wasted time that could be spent truly grooming and scrubbing the feet. I had expressed interested in a powder dip manicure vs. shellac. The man that was working behind the counter, that appears to be the manager did a great job explaining what the powder dip consisted of, how the fill works, etc. I was really excited to try this out after discussing with him! When it came time for me to transition from the pedicure chair to the manicure chair I was told that it would be a little bit of a wait because there was only one technician that was skilled in the powder dip. I was fine with waiting. I sat for a few minutes and she came over to me and asked if I was interested in doing the powder dip over my natural nails or if I wanted to add a tip for length. We had a brief discussion about this and then she went back to another client. Another few minutes passed and then the manager guy came back over and told me that the tech was running behind and that it would be a little while before she could get to me. I already knew this and was prepared to wait. However, he pushed me to come back for the powder dip or offered someone else to do a shellac. I told him I wasn't interested in shellac. I grabbed my ticket and started to stand up to pay for my pedicure and he again asked if I wanted shellac or if I could come back later today. As we got to the counter together he was apologizing to me and asking me to come back. I told him that I didn't have time to return later today or the next because I was leaving on vacation. Once I made it clear that I wasn't able to come back, he expressed his apologizes again. I told him it was okay, because I mean really what are you going to say? There's 50,000 other nail salons that would gladly take my business. Overall, I was really hoping to love this place and have a new go to nail salon. I guess the search continues. Read Less

Read all the great reviews and had to try them! My gf came by so we both got nails done. It took some convincing for her to do the NEW powder dip French. But once she got past the new technique she totally loves them and will be a future fan. She says they feel lighter and most like natural nails. I did my regular fill with shellac. Every now and then, I like to spoil myself and have time to myself. This salon does the trick by always providing you with excellent services as well as friendly staff members. The atmosphere at this salon is great; a spacious salon with all the needed amenities. To my surprise, there is a private bar implemented right in the salon. Not only that, but I got a free complementary wine with the deluxe package!! This is the first salon I've seen to do this - how unique. What a wonderful nail salon! The staff was so friendly and sweet! I had knee surgery only 9 days before and they treated me so well! They took their time to help me adjust the chair to a comfortable position as well as took great car of my foot on my injured leg. They assisted me to the manicure chair.
