Came back because I didn't like my nails. The lady at the front desk was very rude and belittling. My nail polish was dull and acrylic was caked on my cuticles. Mind you my nails were done only a day and a half ago. Pauline has done my nails before, but she was off Monday. She does a great job. Will be going back for her only. My experience was INCREDIBLE. I'm out of state so I've never been here and wasn't even sure if I should make an appointment, even understaffed(happens to every business!) they got me in and were very polite. For someone who gets anxious they made me feel so much better and actually listened to me when I asked for certain things done to my nails. My nails are CLEAN, smooth and the shape is flawless. I moved to the area and Trendy Nails & Spa was my 4th try at a good nail salon in the neighborhood. I WISH I had found them first! This is easily the best manicure I have ever had. The attention to detail is so perfect, and they were patient with me as I mixed around the gel colors to find my favorite. I've been back a couple more times (with bridesmaid friends as we prepped for a wedding) and each time - my nails look flawless and are beyond perfect. My nails look awesome! This was my first time time getting ' powder' and I really love the way they look! I was extremely clueless of the process since I have never had powder, only acrylics or gel. Let me explain, if you get powder with tips, the process only adds tips because the powder dip fills them in. It is not a full set then a powder dip. A is a drill involved, but only at the end to shape the powder once your nail is dipped several times. I opted for powder with out the tips because my nails were a bit grown out. I really think that the sky's the limit at what they can do in terms of nail art and I can't wait to try something more adventurous next time. Read Less

I used to live within walking distance and I moved to IL about 8 months ago and just went back for the first time last night and MoMo did a great job on my pedicure. I called today, to see if I could get in mid day on a Saturday, based upon the reviews given here. They fit me in for mani pedi, plus brow and lip wax. Clean, nice facility, with pleasant atmosphere and movie playing. Good service, in and out in less than 1.5 hours. Great find; I will be back! Read Less

When I walked into Trendy Nails, someone sitting in the waiting area on her phone shouted something to me along the lines of "sign in" then went back to her phone.  I had an appointment and arrived early to look at polish colors.  I went to the desk, signed in, and then walked to the wall of polish.  As I looked through the colors, several employees rudely shouted at me to use the samples.  I explained what I was doing and one of them pointed to a small basket on the desk near the sign-in sheet which contained some color samples.  I told them that I wanted regular polish on my toes and it took some time with language barrier for them to explain that the samples were for gel, dip, and regular polish types, and I needed to use them for selecting the colors.The store looks like it's under construction and the mani station chairs are all wrapped in styrofoam and packing tape.  The areas looked clean, but the store was cluttered and a maze to walk through, so watch where you step!I was invited to a pedi chair eventually and Calvin did a good job with the Deluxe pedicure, including polish.  We then transferred to a mani station and he proceeded to trim/file my nails and apply the gel.  He was very detail-oriented and my nails looked great!  He did not, however, buff my nails, so within four days my gel was already slowly peeling away from the nail and now, not even a full 6 days later, I have three nails where the gel is peeled enough off the nail that it's catching on everything.  I've used gel for a long time and with proper preparation the gel stayed on my nails 2+ weeks.I will not go back to Trendy.  I am disappointed that I spent $70 on a mani/pedi where the toe polish is chipping and the gel is peeling clean off the nail. Yo I come here fairly regularly and never have an issue. They're in the process of another remodel and it's Easter weekend so I get they're busy, but I went in for a pedi, picked my color and was directed to a chair. Not only did I wait for an hour before my person came over, but the water was cold. After 30 minutes of waiting in cold water, the girl next to me getting a pedi was kind enough to ask they change my water and the people working mocked me and then begrudgingly came over to change the water.All you gotta do is let me know it's gonna be an hour right off the bat. Also make sure my water is right temp before you walk away. Simple stuff that didn't happen and now I'm not coming back.Tip for anyone going here: be more vocal about your needs because they don't know what they are here. Read Less

I would give pedicure here 5 stars. Manicures are about 2-3 stars. The pedicures are always good here. Manicures are iffy. Some people are really great, others not so much. On the last visit, my gel manicure polish came out choppy and the woman cut my cuticle. I didn't feel it, but it bled. She saw and her response was "oh, what happened?" As if it magically appeared or my cuticle was bleeding before she started working on my hands. Most people are quite pleasant. Only one person was rude, she told another tech that he needed to hurry up with his customer and he's spending too much time on her. FYI, we could all hear you. Read Less

I've had 3 different techs here and they all kill it. It's been really difficult to find a salon that does stiletto nails well - and this place fails to disappoint! The techs are all just as picky as I am, and make sure that the nails are smooth from all angles, and tear drop shaped rather than coffin. I have her do a gel mani every 2-2.5 weeks, and I have never had a single nail peel off. She also helps me choose colors and come up with ideas. I have been pretty loyal to one nail shop, but I moved away recently. Unless I wanted to have a long drive to that salon, I didn't get my nails done. I decided that I wanted a full set on a whim and wasn't looking forward to that drive, so I searched some reviews and settled on Trendy Nails. I am VERY PICKY and was apprehensive, but this was a fantastic choiceI made an appointment same day and was paired with Lilly. I came here since I couldn't get my nails done in Memphis. They had 4 stars but that was too low. They gave me excellent device. Candi was polite, attentive and a perfectionist. I love when you don't have to tell a nail technician how many coats and what to do...it defeats the purpose of going to the nail salon. The environment was light with small chatter. The television was low but you could hear it. I'm glad I came to this location. I now wish I had gotten my pedicure done here too but I went to my Memphis spot and they couldn't accommodate me since they were closing. Nevertheless I'm happy too say this was a great experience. The ladies at Trendy ROCK! Super cool chicks, great personalities, very helpful and amazing techs. I've never been disappointed with my mani/pedi work. I've never gotten any wax treatment but I've seen the product of their eyebrow wax and it's pretty on point. The shop is always very nice and neat. Well kept tools, organized variations of polishes from gel to power to regular lacquer. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and Trendy's restroom has passed my hygiene check on every visit. I guess it depends on who you get here. My daughter got a mani and a pedi and was finished before someone just getting a manicure. Her nails were uneven and not smooth or attractive at all. I visited this place for the first time today. I've heard about it from several people, all saying how great it is. I stopped in without an appointment. The place was PACKED and I'm thinking okay well I'm going to end up leaving. They got me in pretty quick. They soaked off my old gel polish and I got a mani with gel polish. Emily did my nails and they turned out awesome!! She did a good job painting the nails and even did an accent nail with a design for me. Everyone seemed very laid back and nice despite how busy it was. You can also understand everyone very well, which has been an issue for me in the past. The price was better than at other salons. I'm giving 4 stars now because I just got the mani and haven't seen how long it will last. If it holds for the full 2 weeks, I will come back and give 5 stars!!! Read Less

It was 2 weeks ago yesterday when i went here for a mani and pedi and i will never return! I should have stuck to star nails off Brannon and chippewa. I could not believe the customer service, it was horrible! They directed orders rather than guiding you to where you need to go. When i requested the choice of design, i wanted the one girl(unlicensed, im sure) acted like it was impossible. I felt like leaving right then! The results were ok.. Ive had better. Like many women, i regularly have my toes done. Not once ever has the polish chipped. By then end of the first week, i had 3 bare toe nails.. I know for a fact that they are not using top of the line product! Its a new shop, good luck but it's not for me. Ilive just a couple blocks from the shop and will let all of my gfs know to never go here!! Word of mouth is the biggest form of advertisement! i was so impressed with the quality of service by jesse and the salon itself.1. i appreciated the time jesse spent on my manicure and pedicure. he pays close attention to the littlest of details and was not in a rush. 2. the salon itself was so,so,so clean and they had quality products.3. loved the massaging chair while getting a pedicure.4. friendly all the customers that came in while i was in the store new jesse and the other employees by name and had established a relationship with them. i thought that was pretty cool.5. i look forward to my next visit.
