I am more than thankful for finding Cocktailz.  Currently, I take my daughter here to get her very coily hair cared for and styled.  Ley and her staff are genuine and warm to say the least.  The manner in which they interact with my daughter is awesome.  Having respectable older women sharing age-appropriate self-care and hair maintenance tips is much appreciated-especially since our daughter is from a 2 Dad family.Coming from NYC/CT, we appreciate the affordable prices for quality time and services. The staff was great but I went in to get a fill in and polish change about  2 weeks ago .The next day my nail came off and my polish was nowhere near dry and smudged. I had to find another nail shop to do the same exact job.yesterday the owner called me to see how I liked that service and offered  to do my nails again at a discounted price. I politely decline especially since it took over 2hrs for the process. I thought that would have been my new spot but I  wouldn't recommend this place for a nail job. Read Less

Across from the Pageant and in the loop, this beauty bar gave me an up-do and eye-makeup/lashes. The owner and the only everything woman here does hair, makeup, extensions, and there is someone else for nails. I think they are looking to hire others. But for now, Ley is the only person I would trust. I was really really please, actually more than please. I was looking for a beauty bar that can work for ethic woman in general, but Ley can just do about anyone's hair and make-up. If you know how to do a black woman's hair - you can do it all. Ley also spent her training/time in LA- so there are a lot of influences there.  Ley was really professional and also just down to earth/friendly. In addition, I received so many compliments for my hair/makeup that it was worth the 2 hours in the chair. This place is almost a secret to Vegaz (which truthfully I could not get an appointment to - so decided to stumble about this gem here). But- I am glad I did. So my experience was on-time, friendly, and professional. So - totally worth it. The services in general are really well priced, but shampooing, etc. are extra. They are a full service bar and can do it all. If you are from cities like NY, Boston, LA, etc, this place is very underpriced and cheaper than Vegaz. For my hair/eye make-up/extensions- I spent around $96 (which includes the discount). But they also have loyalty cards. And I will be back and try new services.I also know they have make-up classes on Sundays. If I can fit it in, I completely need to give this a try and bring the girlfriends along. Read Less
