Terrible customer service. Nail technicians are rude and don’t actulaly do what you request. I have been three times, the first time the technician was really rude. Pedicure was horrible, a mediocre job. It seems that a child had cut and painted my nails, she didn't even ask if I wanted to cut it, Dip powder manicure was average, she didn't apply gel in my last coat (Most of the places do it) ... you feels like they want you out of there as soon as possible, then, they make you pay before they finish their job... I've been coming here for about 4 years, the only place I trust for gel mani pedi. I recommend then to everyone. Can't speak highly enough of the perfection that they have consistently maintained, regardless of technician, for years. Customer service is beyond excellent. The last time we were here it was great...5 stars. This time, not so much. My boyfriend and I each got a pedicure. They cute his skin, didn't file his nails, and left dirt underneath. They're extremely jagged. When I asked if she would please file my nails because she didn't cut or file them, she started going at my nails to the point where I had to pull my foot away because there was no nail left to file. My toe hurts to the touch. They're all uneven and jagged. Complete waste of money and now I'm scared I'm going to get an infection. I usually go here to get my nails done and I love it. For my wedding in April, my bridal party and I got manicures & pedicures in the private room and it was a great experience! We loved that it felt like we had the place to ourselves while we were hanging out and being pampered. We also got to bring in stuff for mimosas and breakfast too. Can't recommend them enough! I'm very sad after today's experience at Beautiful Nails. I'm going to a destination wedding and asked for a couple of things in my manicure that my former manicurist always did (nugenisis, an accent nail, tips on my broken nails to make them even). The manicurist was very rude and put out with each request. I finally had her just put clear on them and I'll go back to my other guy. I just moved here from IL and was looking for a new place. This place is the absolute best nail salon I've ever been to. The quality is far superior than other places. I've been getting gel manicures routinely for about two years and after trying many salons, I won't go anywhere else. Tina is amazing! A different salon had destroyed my nails and left them weak and broken. When I came in to Beautiful Nails, Tina took her time, worked some magic, and made them look perfect again. I have tried and tried this place because it is so convenient to where I live, but I always have the kind of experience that makes me say that I won't come back.  Sure enough, maybe a year later, I'll try it again.  I am creating my own issue here.  Anyway, wanting to get in anywhere that would take me on a busy Friday after work, I stopped by here to treat myself to a gel mani and regular pedicure.  I truly feel like the nail techs I get here kind of half ass the manicure, especially the best part, the leg/hand massage!  My hand massage post-gel mani lasted all of one minute for both hands.  The worst thing, though, was that the lady screwed up on my gel nail color.  Part of this is on me because I didn't have the guts to tell her she grabbed the wrong color after I noticed it.  She was already on nail number 3 and I was going back and forth in my head about whether to tell her and just didn't dare.  Those gel colors come in opaque white bottles so you can't see that she grabbed the wrong one until it is already on your nails.  Not only was it the wrong color, but it was actually an ugly color.  Not something you want to stick around on your nails for two weeks!  Finally, I truly believe this place is way overpriced.  This service is $52 before tip.  I think I would be willing to pay this if I was getting really good service and a great manicure that I loved, but for the experience I usually have here---nope. Long  wait for a horrible gel polish on hands & feet! Polishing is the basics,  how can you not know how to do that? Horrible Horrible Horrible & High! 1 day later my gel nails start cracking at the tips and polish was uneven from the start! I didn't bother to go back so they can fix them, because it would probably be the same results! This salon is welcoming and clean. I have been here twice already and will continue to come back. I scheduled an appointment and only had a wait a few minutes. I feel they were true to keeping the appointment unlike other salons that I have made appointments with and had to wait over 15mins to be helped. Agree with other commenters on the suspect cleanliness of the instruments. Each tech carries around their own pencil-type box rather than using a new, sanitized set. And they are not diligent about cleaning the foot baths. My gel French mani chipped on 2 nails on day 4, as did one of my toenails from a regular pedi. I can't remember when I had a toenail chip?! The actual tech took a good amount of time, and seemed to work diligently, so I don't know why the chipping- maybe the nails weren't cleaned well or the base coat was bad. Also, pedi and mani water was lukewarm to cool and very little time was spent filing my heels. All was just kind of meh. Can do it better on my own. Read Less

Terrible nail shop. Asked my tech to replace my nail due to it being put on crooked last time. Got a huge attitude when I asked her to fix it and was told that she cannot make it match my other nails also my nail is still crooked. Was never thanked or told where to go dry my nails. Very rude woman gave me a manicure. She didn't push don't my cuticles and only massaged one hand. She was super unfriendly and in a rush. Never said thank u and my nails don't even feel clean. Let me start off by saying that this place is awesome! Whenever I get my nails done now it's here. I've been coming here off and on for a few years. Really, only coming when I have fake nails that need to be fixed up. But about a month ago this awesome place saved my butt. I had gone to a nail salon closer to my place and they destroyed my beautiful fake nails with their crappy job. A few days later, I came here to get them fixed. The people were so nice and able to fix my nail problem. Flash forward a few weeks later, my nails were still holding up nicely. I was getting tired of the color and the nails were getting too long for me. Thus, I got them filed down, filled, and got a new color. I love it. These guys are my life savers.All there people are really nice. Most are neat to talk to as well. I would have to say that they are all really good people. None of them do a bad job and they are all fast about their work. They don't want you waiting for too long and have a system going. Having the system is nice because you are able to get in and out in a timely matter. Parking is a little bit of a nightmare right now, but there is construction going on and they will get back the other lot soon from what they were telling me. Since this is a temporary problem, I can't give them trouble for it on the overall rating.For future nail jobs and when friends ask, I will definitely tell them to come here. Read Less

The place LOOKS really professional but I had to walk out. I asked for something VERY simple, just a fill with an inverted V white tip. I couldn't believe it when she told me they couldn't do it. "no airbrush", last place did it by hand with polish I tell her "too hard" she says. I've reviewed Beautiful Nails before, but I had to come back to Yelp. This is my go-to salon in Saint Louis. The place was really busy today, Sunday, but I still only waited about 10 minutes. Thao was so careful with my manicure and it turned out beautiful! She was very sweet too. Let me start by saying I have been getting my nails done for 10 plus years every 2-3 weeks. This was one of the few places in town that had someone that could do a good job with pink and white acrylics. No where does them short enough until I found this place! I came here several times over the last year since moving here and they always do a good job. I do try other places in town, and I have been very happy with some and not so happy with others. I recently started getting gel and they do a great job here. Lasts 2 plus weeks. Taho (not sure if I am spelling that correct) did a great job today on my mani pedi.Only reason I did not do 5 stars is the lack of pedicure options. I have been several places they offer a longer massage for an up change, and to me it's worth it every time. Other then that-I have no complaints here. I visited this place twice in the past. First time I had a horrendous service. I went back a few months later hoping for better because I was strongly convinced that nothing they would do could be worse than my first experience. Boy, was I worng! I would add I went back because of the convenience. It is closer to me than my regular nail place.The wait is never too long as it is a huge place. They are super busy but the service moves fast. This is good and bad: fast turn around means no waiting around for too long, it also means subpar/rushed/could do better type of service received. Anyway, both times I went there for pedicures and I came out feeling like I could have done this better myself, this is not worth the $26 I just paid. It should also be noted that the tip is built in the price. No attention to detail whatsoever. Unbelievably rushed job. Techs always act reluctant to add a second layer of polish as if those aren't already diluted to the max anyway. Certain colors may require even 3 layers for the color to pop, but the techs I guess have firm orders to save the polish as much as possible, idk :sigh: Also for a place that big, the polish selection is seriously lacking. They need to do a better job having ALL colors available at ALL time, this is very important. They may have 10 bottles of a certain polish available, but if there are 20 patrons at any given time, 10 may all pick that same polish and the other 10 won't even have that option available to them. As customers, we will be automatically disappointed when we don't find that specific color. We don't know the bottles are currently being used, we just know it ain't there for us to choose. They can do a better job of restocking their polishes especially the popular colors.I feel like a chicken on the assembly line at Beautiful Nails. You come in, pick your polish, get picked up by the next available tech, get an impersonal hurried service and get sent cluck cluck on your way to the drier just like another one, and the end result is far from Beautiful. I'm ashamed at myself for not having a Yelp review for this place before. This is my go-to nail salon when I'm in STL. I have been here literally over a dozen times in the last few years. You never have to make an appointment and even if you have to wait, it's not for long at all. They have a wide range of colors from Essie and OPI as well as their special gel nail polishes. They also do acrylic nails. I either get a mani/pedi or a gel mani and regular pedicure. When you're getting a pedicure, don't forget to use the massage functions on the chair. It's so relaxing! I have been going to Beautiful Nails for years (2-3 times / month)...and love it! I am truly impressed by the manicures and pedicures I've received there. Now, this is not a spa..so don't go expecting that environment. It's a nail salon and one of the best in town. They are nice, do a great job and are very clean. Every time I go in they are packed and on weekends there is usually a wait. I see familiar faces every time I go - many repeat customers. Despite the fact that English may not be the first learned language for many of the employees, they do speak English and understand everything I've ever asked for and make conversation enjoyable. Every manicure/pedicure I've ever received has been great and am calling to schedule my next appointment now. If you need a manicure, pedicure or both, Beautiful Nails is the best place to go!!! I will never go here again. A simple manicure and the girl took a chunk out of my cuticle because she was not paying attention. It was bleeding for awhile and now literally looks like someone cut a chunk out of my cuticle. Not what I was looking for. Not to mention that the girl sniffled the whole time, didn?t ask if I wanted the bottom of my feet shaved (people that get pedicures understand that), and you have to tell them what tip you are giving them before they run your card. To top it off on a $32 tab I still gave the girl a $5 tip and she was rude afterward, shoving my hands toward her fan and never offering for me to go under the dry lights. I went to Beautiful Nails with a coworker of mine during a lunch break. OMG! I was horrified as I watched them finish a pedicure on another woman and then put my coworker in THE SAME CHAIR. Didn't clean it, didn't spray it with anything. What if that woman had something funky going on with her toes? It was horrible and I'm still not over it. Needless to say, I did not enjoy my pedicure after that. The woman that did my pedicure did not speak English and the owner was picking on her (rubbing her shoulders and she obvious looked bothered) while she was doing my pedicure. It was all very suspicious and creepy. I rather pay for a 30 dollar pedicure and leave knowing I had great customer service and clean feet, rather then a 20 dollar pedicure and not having a pleasant experience and paranoid I contracted a fungus. I have been going to Beautiful Nails since they opened and have never written a review before for anything, but when I saw the grossly inaccurate and unfair review left for this great salon, I wanted to set the record straight. Not only are Harry and his staff professional, the shop is very clean. Yes they wear gloves to give pedicures...how is this not sanitary? It also protects their hands from the water, pumice stones and polish remover that would have hands bleeding and cracked...definitely UNsanitary. Harry and his staff are also amazing at what they do. I get numerous compliments on my nails, which are acrylic, and they look natural and beautiful. I have gone to other shops before and since as I have moved to the Metro East area. Horrible experience. I practically left in tear. The staff barely speaks English. Plus, the staff wears gloves during pedicures and massages. This is extremely offensive. I would not recommend this filty salon to anyone. Don't go there. You'll probably contract an infection for the lack of poper hygiene precautions and the 'conveyor belt like service'. Read Less
