A friend recommended this place. I loved how her nails turned out and so I went to see Richard for a dip mani and a regular pedicure. Richard did a phenomenal job with the dip! I really enjoy going to this shop for 10 years. It is small, family owned, and friendly. Sonny and his wife Angie know exactly how to make my hands look beautiful. The place is filthy and the owner/manager is condescending and rude. I waited 25 mins in freezing cold water for a pedicure so they could wait on a customer that came in 15 after I was already in the chair. They are always exactly how I like them they have spoiled me to the point I don't even have to say anything about how I want them done, they just know. This is THE place to get your nails done in Dallas. The service is always flawless. The facilities and equipment are always clean. I've never been nicked or cut once (unlike other places). Soaking tubs have liners and clippers are autoclaved. Walk-ins or appointments are accepted and parking is abundant. There are lots of color choices for traditional nail polish, gel, and powder dip. I stopped doing dip and went back to gel because gel doesn't wreck my nails and actually l...ooks better since gel doesn't look thick like powder dip. They already know which traditional polish matches the gels, so you don't have to do gel on fingers and toes. The massage chairs are always super nice and relaxing. The owner has always been nice to me and always took the time to acknowledge us even when they're super busy. Plus they have the best VIP mani pedi in the DFW!!! It's so good that we drive from Coppell just to receive their services. The staff and owners at The Salon Nail Spa are like family to me. First I fell in love with the incredible mani, pedi work; then I tried the solar nails, gel polish, brow wax and on and on. I love coming here for a pedicure! Friendly staff that always seem happy to see you when you come in the door, even as a walk in! Great pedicures and a relaxing experience. Staff are friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The $5 extra for the spa pedicure is worth it! Read Less

I love this nail salon. Prior to coming here, I was iffy about nail salons. The service I had received from other salons wasn't that great but that isn't the case here. I always receive amazing service here. Sunny and Angie are nice and I feel like I'm visiting friends. I think the nail shop is clean and cozy and I think they take their time with each customer while making sure other customers don't have to wait too long. It's dirty. It's disorganized. The people jump from one person to another and don't finish what they started. They talk to each other not you. It's not relaxing at all. It's so loud and frantic.I tried to go back a few times just to be fair but the last straw was my polish coming off after 3 days and them telling me it's normal and to get fake nails.I went to a place literally right up the street and felt relaxed and they just put gel on my nails that lasts 3 weeks so I know they weren't out for my money. Just moved back, needed to get a pedicure so I did a search, found this place and walked in.  First off, it just didn't seem clean.  I mean, the equipment seemed OK but the floor needed a good vacuuming and a good dusting. But I was there, so I went for it.  Pedicure was good, the guy was very nice and chatty. I went to go sit and dry and read one of their three magazines and then I saw someone pay with a checkbook.  A checkbook?  I'm sorry, did I take a time traveling delorean here?  Is it 1986?  A checkbook?  This made me worry.  I checked my wallet and I had only $6 cash.  Pedicure is $20.  Gulp.  I waited and waited and waited for my person to come back to get me to pay and I asked "Do you take cards?"  Nope.  Cash or checks.  (Seriously CHECKS?  What year is this?!).  But he was cool.  He said I could go to the bar next door and use their ATM.  So I went there.  I had to shake off the feeling that I wandered onto the set of The Accused--Only I think less people were smoking in the bar in The Accused.  This bar is gross.  But I found the ATM.  It didn't look entirely trustworthy--mainly because the whole front of it came off in my hands.  Not joking.  So I placed the front of it on as best I could.  I walked down the street to the bank.  Not a short walk.  I walked back, gave the guy cash and his comment "Did you stay and get drunk?"  Ha ha, very funny.  So I said "No, the ATM was broken. The front of it came off in my hands."  and then someone else working there said "You broke the ATM? WHY?!" and made a face at me.  I paid my cash.  I left.  I will probably find someplace else to go in the future. Read Less

Two of my bridesmaids and I got our nails done at Affton Nail Salon the day prior to my wedding.  Initially the staff had us mixed up with another bridal party, which led to some awkward conversations and strange stares when we refused to go seperately.  Once the confusion was cleared up, the staff were wonderful.  The owner was very funny and engaging with the clients, even flirting slightly with some of the older ladies, which made me laugh.  The nail techs were friendly and very good.  I highly recommend their "spa" pedicure- for $5 extra, they do a scrub, mask, and wrap on your feet and legs. It was wonderful.  They  have fabulous massage chairs too! I got a full gel nail set for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was.  The price was great too- $50 total.  My nails lasted 3 weeks with no problems.  I believe a normal mani/pedi with no acrylic is $30.
