I would never come back to tip top nails even as a last resort, I had come here 2 weeks prior and gotten a full set I came back to get a fill and a replacement because one of my nails had already popped off which doesn't usually happen with my nails. Another glaring issue I have with this salon is their terrible communication skills. You never know what's going on and what's up with their prices because they spend all their time talking among themselves or on their phones. After I spent almost an hour getting my mediocre fill, I asked for my nails cut down a little bit and he cut my nails down so low thy the entire shape was ruined and he refused to file down the one nail he had fixed the first couple times I asked because he said it would ruin the coffin shape, which had already been ruined after he filed the other ones down so low. So when I finally went to check out the fill that was advertised as $16 ended up costing my $35 because they charged me for reshaping my nails that they messed up! I love everything about this place! It's hard to find a good nail shop that care! They take pride in their work and they show respect to their customers. They are patient and they listen.  My daughter and I make this a bonding time and she loves them. Their under new management and you can tell. The husband and wife duo is cute! Read Less

Don't walk, run from this salon! Not only is it dirty, but the mani and pedi I received was less than sub-par. The employee that I had continually kept pressuring me to do more than I wanted as well, which made me really uncomfortable! I will NEVER return to this lousy place. Great place! Employees are nice and talk to you and make conversation. The guy my friend had said his name is "number 9" and made jokes about it. He was funny and did a great job on her nails. I had a pedicure and they did a good job too. It was nice becaise we dont get our nails done very often so we got to treat ourselves and have a good time. Read Less

Where to begin? The nail tech did a terrible job at pretty much every part. She was pleasant enough, but at one point while doing my nails, she FaceTimed someone. Who does that?? I could see everything, as she set her phone next to my hand and navigated while filing my nails. She pressed call and then propped the phone against the nail supplies while it loudly rang. Her friend didn't answer, but what if she had? That is so rude! The nails look so bad, I didn't say anything as I don't see how they are savable. They are unevenly filed and lopsided, and so so thick. I have never not tipped for a service like this, but I paid $40 for this, and they are lucky I paid. Read Less

Service is horrible! I stopped here for a second visit knowing my first visit didn't go well. It was my last resort since I had a wedding the next day and not enough time to go anywhere else. First off one of the nail technicians was going back and forth with a customer. I over heard another say something about a customer that just left out. My technician told me gel was $15 more but actually tried to charge me $20 more. He was rushing on my leaves so he could leave. Left before they dried. I stayed under the dryer for 28 minutes and then under a fan for almost 10 more minutes they never dried. My son became impatient with how long they were taking to dry. The only 1 lady left who was doing somebody else's nails couldn't help me..She said come back tomorrow and they'll fix. On my 28 minute drive home I kept changing my hands in front of the vent in hopes they would dry...👎 FAIL. Made it home and ran to restroom polish smeared.... Hopped in bed and polish got on comforter set so I easily wiped it off with paper towel. Went back next day, running late for wedding they refused to help unless I would get that same polish put on which was the polish that went with gel polish. It was the only bottle in that color. Hey everyone, This is long, but I just HAD to come on here and leave a well-deserved review, which I never bother doing! I had never been to Tip Top Nails before, but I shop at the Galleria often and noticed it walking by one day - as they had a sign saying they had 200 new Dip Powder colors (my favorite)! I was excited to try the place out since it's so close to me and they're gel/powder dip color selection is AMAZING - so many pretty options I haven't seen before anywhere else! BUT, once I read the reviews on here I was ((super)) nervous and almost didn't go. I didn't want to waste my money on a bad experience. I saw, though, that the salon was under a new owner and that they were responding to the bad reviews from when the previous owners were there, in such a professional/customer-oriented way - so I decided to just GO and try it out for myself! You never know unless you go and see on your own! Let me just say that I'm SO happy I did!! I left with the BEST service and mani/pedi I've ever had!! Andy did my nails - the manager, and was the nicest, most thoughtful person. He said the new owner began a month ago (so all the bad reviews are before that) and that he's been doing nails for 10+ years. He was so easy to talk to - and honestly, all of the employees were nice, smiling and doing a good job! I was impressed for sure. My pedi and gel looks the best it ever has and my powder dip nails are the perfect color and shape! He took his time on my pedi - especially scrubbing and massaging my legs/feet, and cut my nails exactly how I asked! He even offered me a drink while I relaxed - which is how it should be at a salon. ❤ Overall, he did a very thorough job. I HIGHLY recommend them! I'm glad I went in for MYSELF so that I could share a genuine opinion about the new owner, manager, and an amazing job/service! I posted a pic of my sparkly light pink powder nails in the photos! I went in a few months ago after getting off work, wanting a simple manicure and pedicure. I had a long day and was very much looking forward to relaxing and pampering myself. Needless to say the service was really not good, I didn't feel as though what I wanted was being heard at all. I left with a manicure I felt I could've given myself and a pedicure that I ended up having to redo the very next day because it chipped. I called asking if I could come in and get it fixed being that I was in the day before and was laughed at for my question. For the price I honestly don't think I will ever return which is sad becuase I work in the Galleria and this location is super convienant for me. Really disappointed. Read Less

They gave my fiancé a GEL MANICURE the day before our wedding! Of course he had no idea what he was agreeing to! We came in together and we're talking about our wedding, and obviously he was not a person who gets manicures often-especially not gel manicures. I was across the salon getting a pedicure and didn't see what was happening. He thought they just put a clear coat to make it shiny and planned to remove it later but of course regular nail polish remover doesn't remove gel. The manicurists obviously took advantage of him to charge the extra $10. Totally disrespectful. My pedicure was fine but I wasn't super comfortable with the cleanliness of the tools (all unwrapped from washcloths and re-wrapped after - were they sterilized??). The place is also a bit run down. If I thought they would've taken it seriously, I would've called to talk to the manager about what happened. The whole thing is funny but seriously don't spend your money here. No complaints. Walked in for a gel powder fill, not a lot of places carry it. They accommodated me and were very polite. Love the way my fill turned out, even though it's a little on the more expensive side. I would come back if I lived in the area. Read Less

There is one lady that works here who does a seriously amazing job, everyone else is just average (or below average) nail technicians. If you are going to go here, you want to get Linda. Linda is amazing at her job and does the best pedicures! I always walk away from a pedicure with such happy feet. She is great at scrubbing off that dead skin, massaging the feet and lower legs, and painting toes. The manicures are just average in my opinion. Overall, the service is pretty poor. The employees ignore you for the entire procedure, which I dont mind because I am not a fan of making small talk (unless it's with Linda!). They also are constantly talking with each other in their own language, which make some people uncomfortable... again, I didn't mind it. I really dislike is how they use a rude tone of voice when talking to you, and pressure you into getting other services or other nail polish colors. Not a fan of rudeness. Additionally, the place doesn't feel super sanitary. Linda demonstrates hygienic practices (i.e. sterilizing instruments, etc); but I feel like none of the other technicians are very sanitary.
