It was my first experience for mani and pedi at Nail Tip in O Fallon. They did a beautiful on my nails! When I walked in I was greeted promptly. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Nail Tip. This place was awesome! The cozy environment made me feel be excited from the moment step in. I went Nail Tip with my mom to get our nails done for a wedding. Love them so much. I feel like I was being done nails at home. I just left there and it was by FAR THE WORST experience I have EVER had! When my daughter and I walked in there was only ONE customer there. We both wanted pedicures she wanted her nails painted and I am still needing a full set. Let me just say the place was ATROCIOUS. I wish I would have taken pictures. We were there for over an hour only to leave pissed off without my full set. As my daughter and I were getting it pedicures ( which they were in no hurry to start) a few cu...stomers walked in for various services. The lady doing my daughters pedicure LEFT HER to go do someone else's who JUST WALKED IN!! After asking SEVERAL times my daughter finally got her nails painted. The ONE worker who could do my full set decided to take not one but TWO customers before me when clearly I had been ready for the full set for over 15 minutes. As soon as my daughters nails were dry we got up to leave WITHOUT my full set... we stood at the counter without being acknowledged for a good 3 minutes before my card was taken without giving me a total and swiped. They are LUCKY I had my daughter with me or I would have walked out!!! Is this how you treat all of your customers? I used to love going here but I will never step foot in those doors ever again. Never been more disappointed in my life. They told me it would be a five minute wait and set me in the pedicure chair, 45 minutes later someone was available to start on me. They advised I would get a discount because of the extra long wait time yet no one gave me that discount when I asked. Only to come home and within three hours my nail polish has started Peeling off. Mediocre at best. Brought friends here for a mani/pedi. The "massages" were a 2-minute joke. Asked the tech's to do it a bit longer and with more strength, but they could not understand us. Free balky the owner came in, and he did redo the massage. Aside from him, no one seems very conscientious about their work. Worst of all, the place is filthy. I went to Nail Tip Ofallon, MO for a fill today and was so humiliated.  Kelly was busy and the Manager Tony was outside smoking.  Kelly went to tell Andy that I wanted a fill because she was busy.  He refused to provide me service and told her to tell me to come back which was RUDE.  Andy was sitting in the chair doing nothing but obviously could care less about excellent customer service.  I called to ask for the owner Nicki's phone number and he refused to give it to me.  So Ms. Nicki, I hope you see this message and resolve this issue because your current manager Andy is lacking professional demeanor and should not be in charge of any business.  I will NEVER go back to your shop!!!  I will share my story with everyone and gladly drive to the Nail Tip in Florissant. Andy does great work, but l was very upset yesterday when Andy finished filling my nails then passed me off to a woman that as far as l know only does pedicures, to paint my French tips on, which didn't go well, but what has me upset and which made me decide to stop going there, was the fact that the woman that he passed me off to knew l wasn't happy with the paint job had another woman come to redo them was very rude and ignorant even though l was very apologetic that l wasn...'t happy with the way the previous lady had painted them(which again, l wasn't rude at all, it's just if lm going to pay $35 for a fill in l expect them to look nice, especially if lm going to have to look at them for the next 2-3 weeks!?) I have been here many times in the past. The people are friendly enough but have always found theire service to be "okay". After having my nails done by Kelly just before Christmas, a brand new acrylic with gel set that barely lasted a week, I decided to stop going there and found a different, better place. Today, out of convenience, I took my step daughter there so we could get our eyebrows done. I specifically said, we do not want them any thinner, just cleaned up. Okay... okay she said. My step daughters were too thin and mine...as she was putting the wax on the first one she said "I know you said don't make them any thinner, I'm just going to give them better shape." She made them SUPER thin!!! Ruined them! I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for 18 years and have never ever had this happen!! I started balling then and there. And! My right one is almost like a straight line!! It is horrific! I could not stop crying!! The girl said she wouldn't charge me for mine, only my stepdaughter and then the manager came over and said that it would grow back. Really? REALLY? In maybe about a month!! Now I am the one that has to wear HER mistake and look at myself everyday in the mirror. Absolutely horrific. I went there for a full set on a Wednesday night. Thursday I got a good look at the nails and saw that they were not even very thick and just plain done very sloppy. So Friday I went back and asked the guy Jimmy to fix my nails. He looked at me as if he really didn't care. He went through the motion of reshaping them however his attempt made them look even worse. Instead of offering to them he just looked at me and said is that it? So at this point I'm not happy at all. So I I got up and said that I will go somewhere else and have them done over. I went to Diva nails and they looked at my nails and without hesitation began to remove them. They didn't even have to soak them. The nails popped right off. Needless to say I will never go to Nail tip ever again. The sad part was there was another lady in front of me who had a bad experience with nail tip as well. When I first started going here it was because a friend recommended them. I made an appointment with the tech that she recommended and had great service and nails looked great and lasted 3 weeks before I had to go have them filled. However, I didn't make an appointment the next few times and nails have not looked as good or lasted as they should. So I guess my recommendation would be to make sure that whoever does your nails is full time and that they have been doing them at least 5 years. I would also like to say that I'm not getting regular acrylic nails done, I am getting what is called Pink and White. They actually put two different colors of acrylic on your nails and then finish with a gel coating. So your nails look and last longer than regular French nails. No spray paint, they stay shiny. However, if the tech has not been doing for a few years they will not last. Anyway, I like the shop and the people, you just have to make sure you ask directly for what you need.
