I just moved to Lee's Summit and was looking for a nail place that close to my house. I went for nexgen, or dipped, nails. I have done this for a couple of years and a typical set lasts me three weeks. The girl who did my manicure would only dip my nails once and on day 4, my nails have chipped, cracked and peeled off. Salon was not clean... Nail tech used a washcloth that had visible bits of other peoples cuticles stuck to it and the table was dusty. I was at the salon for over an hour for a simple acrylic set and paint. She ripped my natural nail while taking off an old tip and was very unfriendly. I was also given my change $15 short and had to argue to get it back. The price changed from $30 on the phone to $35 in the store. To top it off my nail snapped off the same day as I got them done. I was a walk-in shortly after opening and was able to get right in.  The nail tech helped me find a color for my toes that matched the gel polish I picked.  I had a pedicure and manicure.  She did a very nice job and actually spent some time working on some rough spots in my feet.  She checked in with me as she worked and did a nice job on my toes.  Everything with my gel manicure was pretty standard.  She tackled my cuticles, shaped my nails, applied the gel polish, and ended with a light arm massage.  She worked quickly, but I never felt rushed.  I didn't have any designs done so I can't speak to the quality of those services.  Considering the close proximity to my home, reasonable prices, and the quality of the pedicure and gel manicure, I will go back. Really disappointed with today's visit. A friend and I came in around 1 for a dip manicure and the place was completely dead. The first disappointment was when we were told to sit total opposite ends of the salon. When I asked why we had to sit apart they just said sorry, she needs to sit down here. We both took off work to see each other and couldn't even talk the hour we were there because we weren't sitting next to each other. There was absolutely no reason we couldn't have been seated together, the place was DEAD. If I come with a friend to get my nails done, I want to be seated with them and be able to talk to them. I would have just came alone if I would have known they were going to do that. Second disappointment was how my friend was treated. My friends' nail tech was very rude. My friend asked to see the gel polish swatches (because they barely had any gel dip colors) once we were seated and the lady acted like it was such a bother. She then burned her hands in hot acetone, a chemical that isn't even supposed to be warmed up. My friend said she felt very rushed and wasn't even able to look through the colors because the tech had her soaking her hands in the acetone. Not even a minute after she laid the swatches down she asked if my friend had picked out a color yet and she said that she hadn't even gotten a chance to look. A few minutes later she literally picked her color for her. Probably one of the most unprofessional visits I've had at any nail salon. I usually always go to this place and I like it when Amy does my nails I went yesterday and Tina did a really bad job on my nails they weren't how i asked them, she didn't even do the length I asked for and then they were all crooked and shaped weird I asked for a little bit of the edges and they look ovalish wasn't happy with my nails but still tipped her good. I live way out in the boonies of Lees Summit and continue to driver 20 minutes over here to come here. I normally get french gel nails and a standard pedicure. Overall, things are clean, the staff is nice do a pretty good job. The reason I can't give them 5 stars is because they continue to push using a foot razor. These things are banned all across MO for being unsanitary and dangerous! I wish they would get onboard with that and just get rid of them all! I have also gotten my eye brows waxed here a couple of times with mixed results. I would say buyer beware, I think i'll return to getting them down at the brow bar rather than risk it here. I had a good first experience here. It's a no frills type of nail salon, and seemed to have a fair number of regulars and walk ins. My job requires clear polish on my hands (I know- I mourn the opportunity for a fun shade of polish at a Manicure... but that's what work demands.)Kathy, my nail technician, did a very good job! Efficient, professional, we didn't chat much but that was just fine with me today; I was in a contemplative mood anyway. Very reasonable price for a Natural Manicure ($14) and she did an excellent job shaping my nails to my liking, checked with me, gave a brief but nice hand/forearm massage, and applied base and clear polish perfectly. I didn't have time for the Hot Oil Manicure $19 today, so the aprox 15 min Natural Manicure $14 was exactly what I was looking for.  I'd come back again for sure! Read Less

It is really worst service i have seen.only working for tips.20 min. Padicure and charging everything extra rediculios!!when you are telling them they dont understand english always talking with each other in their language. I've been seeing Kim for 6 years and there is no better place in the city! One of the most hygienic salons you will find, and Kim & Jenny are perfectionists at their craft. I just left this salon. Probably one of the worst pedicures I've ever received. The leg massage was the best part. The paint job is terrible. At least three of my toe mails aren't completely painted. Wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. So disappointing. Read Less

Wish I could give zero stars! I have used the same nail salon for almost five years. However; after recently changing management I was no longer satisfied with the end product. Since this time I have been on the search for a new salon. After reading the reviews on this site I was excited to try Nail?s Fantasy. The salon is not convenient as I live on the south side of Lee?s Summit, but again for good service the drive was not an issue. While home doing chores I decided to give a call to see if they were busy. I was assured they were not busy and told if I came at that time they could get me in. I left my home immediately and headed to the salon. Upon entering the salon I was greeted with the generic, ?Hi, what do you need today?? To which I responded a full set. Initially I was only going to get a manicure but had a good feeling and decided to get a full set. I took a seat and waited. After about 10 minutes another customer comes in who appeared to be a regular. She was told she would be serviced right after the customer currently in the ?owners? chair. I continued to wait, without so much as a word being spoken to me. Shortly after a group of three ladies enter and the owner asked if they had just called. They said yes, she told them to pick their color and off they go to the pedicure station. Strange?.I wasn?t asked if I had called (which I had). After about 10 more minutes the owner walks over to me, looks at my nails to ask if my old nails were off. Which they were and I would think if you thought I needed to wait AND have nails removed you would have had me soaking while I just wasted 20 minutes sitting. I then ask how much longer she thought my wait would be and she said 15-20 minutes more. That was enough for me. My time apparently means nothing, as no one communicated my wait. No one seemed to really care if I was looking for a long term salon. Perhaps I am not the type of clientele they are looking to please. I am a working professional in the public safety realm. While I may have had on scrubs, a tank top and flip flops my money is green just like the people you gusted over in my presence. Not only will I never set foot in this salon again, I will be sure if ever asked for a referral that this is certainly NOT the salon to try. My search will continue for a great nail salon in the Lee?s Summit area?.I?m sure one exists! Read Less

The cost is a little expensive compared to other salons, but it is worth it. I have been to many salons and they do not compare to the cleanliness, skill and professionalism that you will find at Nail Fantasy. This place is a MUST! The deluxe pedicure is amazing, the manicures are wonderful, the acrylics are beautiful and the staff is FABULOUS! You will not find a better nail salon in the Kansas City Metro Area. The customer service and quality of work that you find at Nail Fantasy is unmatched. I have been a customer here for almost 4 years. They offer a wide range of services and they are all fantastic. On top of having my manicure and pedicure they also take care of waxing and shaping my eyebrows. It is such a relaxing environment that I took my mother and mother-in-law here for their birthdays for THE WORKS! They loved it. Mindy, Kim and the girls made us feel like Birthday Royalty.
